Exploitation of the European Social Fund in the Czech Republic

This thesis deals with the exploitation of the European Social Fund in the Czech Republic through the Community Initiative EQUAL, which was realized in the programme period 2000-2006, and is characterized by a such aid as the development support and promotion of new innovative instruments competing with inequalities in the labour market. The thesis is divided into three parts, of which the first and the second part are the theoretical and the third is the practical. The first part of the thesis focuses on the description of the European social fund. The Community Initiatives in the programme period 1994-1999 and 2000-2006 and the Community Initiative EQUAL. The second part describes the basic principles of Community Initiative EQUAL that are obligatory for all that projects in this Initiative. There is also a chapter in this part that considers the evaluation of Initiative's basic principles. At first the practical part deals with questionnaire inquire where respondents are represented by organizations themselves that made the project under the Community Initiative EQUAL. Questionnaire is mostly focused on the fulfilment of the main principles in projects of Community Initiative and the continuity of organisations on this Initiative in the programme period 2007-2013. In the practical part there is also introduction of five projects that meet principles the Community Initiative EQUAL in the high quality way. These projects also use above mentioned principles in the programme period 2007-2013.
Implementation of active employment policy (OP RLZ - Priority 1) in the Central Region, with emphasis on Kladensko

In the following dissertation I discuss the issue of European social resource as a main financial way for developing sphere of human resources. In this work is described the Operational Programme of Development of human resources (OP RLZ) that was realized in Czech republic in the year 2004-2006. In this Operational programme is this precedence:1: Interactive management of the employment. The next dissertation's part is focused to grant and national projects that were realized within the scope of this precedence at Středočeský district(county). Sequentially I indicate the realization of Interacive management of the employment at Kladno region. This region has specific position at Středočeský district because of the transformation of its economy in the 90th of last century that was influented by this changes so much (a bankrupt of Poldi Kladno factory, therefrom releasing of working forces and in the present high level of commute to capital). The emphasis of my dissertation is the evaluation of a realized projects that relate with precedence 1: Interacive management of the employment OP RLZ in Kladno region. An attention paid to: Efectivity of interactive management of the employment and its realization. Summary of advantage and disadvantage of realized projects. In terms of obtained informations are defined the recomendationes which should contribute to increasing done activities and its efectivity.
Analysis of the criteria sets used in the projects funded by ESF

The aim of the work is to analyse the criteria sets which were used in projects funded by European social fund. The work is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part is focused on introducing subjects which are engaged in process of allocating grants, legislation and multicriterial decision-making. The practical part is analysis itself. It sees the sample from different angles of view.
The utilization of the European Social Fund in the Slovak Republic

This bachelor thesis disserts on the European Social Fund and its utilization in the Slovak Republic, primarily in the current program period 2007-2013. The European Social Fund, as a fond which focuses on the development of human resources and the actions against the unemployment, contributes to the implementation of the objectives of the Policy of economic and social cohesion, which was constituted exactly for the purpose of decreasing the differences between the European regions especially in terms of standards of living and economical advancement. Whereas the European social fund is only one out of the other European structural funds which conduces to the realization of the Policy of economic and social cohesion, there are also mentioned some information about these other structural funds in this thesis. There is also a brief comment on the topic of the European social fund in the Czech Republic on account of possible comparison with the Slovak Republic. The practical part of the thesis is devoted to the collation of the Slovak operational program with the Czech operational program including the analysis of the content essentials in terms of the thematically similarly aimed appeals which were proclaimed within the chosen operational programs.
The usage of amounts of the European Social Fund in South Bohemia Region in the field of the education

This bachelors thesis deals with European Social Fund, first of all its use in the field of primary education in the South Bohemia Region. The work focuses on the projects realized in the finished period 2004 -- 2006 and realizing in the current period 2007 -- 2013 in the South Bohemia Region. With the help of analyses of particular calls and through all realized and all approved projects the thesis summarizes the use of European Social Fund in the South Bohemia Region. In the last part of the bachelors thesis there are mentioned positive and also negative experiences in the projects preparation and implementation based on the results of realized interviews with the projects submitters.
Utilisation of the European Social Fund in the Czech Republic

My thesis is focused on the main principles and targets of Economic and Social Cohesion Policy, at the present time one of the most important policy of the European Union. The main function of this policy is to get over economic and social differences among national economies of continually growing union. The European Social Fund belongs to principal tools of the Economical and Social Cohesion Policy. Real utilisation in the Czech Republic during the program period 2007 -- 2013 is the main topic of my bachelor thesis. In practical part I'm analysing a project which was implemented during last program period and was financed from Structural Funds within operational program Human Resources Development. The project was targeted on providing retraining courses and vocational consultancy for clients who have been out of engagement and was primary aimed at mothers after maternity leave.
The influence on active labour-market policy and its financing after European Union accession

The thesis conducts an analysis of active labour-market policy and its support in the framework of the European Social Fund. The first section is specialized in labour policy and described documents of European Union in this framework. The second section of the paper focuses on active labour-market policy -- its development, implementation, tool kit as well as its reaction to European Union requirements and a subsequent efficiency evaluation of a number of programmes aimed to support the active labour-market policy. The next section assesses the achievability of quantitative targets of the Lisbon strategy which the Czech Republic should meet by 2010, i.e. whether we are on track to meet these targets. We aim to determine the achievability of targets using an analysis of employment. The following important section looks at labour policy expenditures in the Czech Republic, their change over time and particularly after the European Union accession in 2004, since when the Czech Republic has been able to draw financial support from the European Social Fund. The last section therefore deals with the European Social Fund, in particular with the implementation of projects, assessment of their impact on employment growth and recommendations for improvements in the efficiency of their execution.
The Analysis of Projects Applied within the Human Resource Development Operational Programme

This diploma thesis is focused on analysis of projects applied in the Human Resource Development Operational Programme. Opening chapter of theoretical framework deals with the European Union Funds and especially the European Social Fund in general way. Later in this framework, there is also closely described the Human Recourses Development Operational Programme and its goals, priorities, measures, implementation and financial principles. Main attention is concentrated on characteristic and description of the Measure 3.1: Enhancing the Quality of Education at Schools and School Facilities and Developing Support Systems for Education, which is actually subject of my analysis. Essential in this work is evaluation of successness of applied projects in aspects of particular calls, regions, evaluation phase, eligible subjects, size of budget, etc. The goal of this diploma thesis is the analysis and evaluation of the process of applying projects in 2004-2006 in the measure mentioned above and also to find out if realized projects met the measure aims.
Use of the European Social Fund in Czech republic

The European Social Fund as one of the two structural funds of European Union is integral part of the Policy of EU. As a fund devoted to human resources development and employment support arise from aims of European employment strategy and contributes to realization of Policy of economic and social cohesion which was set up to reduce differences in maturity and standards of living across European Union's regions. The bachelor thesis refers to the European Social fund and its working in Czech republic including the basic information about structural funds of EU and Policy of economic and social cohesion. Practical part of my thesis is dedicated to the project "Cesta k regionální škole" that has been financed from this fund through the Operational program Human resources development and which has brought new school educational program that supports higher quality and level of education in the basic school of Otokar Březina in Jaroměřice nad Rokytnou.
Global grants in nonprofit sector

The degree thesis treats the problem of Global grant in nonprofit sector accorded within Single programming document for Objective 3 of the NUTS 2 Prague region. The Global grant is simplified grant scheme awarded to nonprofit organizations active in social sphere, which focus on persons endangered by social exclusion. The degree thesis defines the theoretical framework of all correlations necessary for valid insight into the problem. Among the concepts defined are nonprofit sector, nonprofit organizations, their financing, regional policy of European Union acting through the European Social Fund awarding funds precisely for Global grant. The nature of Global grant is further examined by looking into project approval procedure falling within the grant, handling of monitoring indicators and positron and impact of the Global grant on nonprofit organizations.
