Tato bakalářská práce pojednává o Evropském sociálním fondu a o jeho využití ve Slovenské republice, zejména v současném programovém období 2007-2013. Evropský sociální fond, jako fond zaměřený na rozvoj lidských zdrojů a boj s nezaměstnaností, přispívá k realizaci cílů politiky Hospodářské a sociální soudržnosti, která je zřízena právě za účelem snižování rozdílů mezi jednotlivými regiony Evropské unie a to zejména v životní úrovni a vyspělosti. Jelikož je tento fond pouze jedním ze strukturálních fondů Evropské unie, skrze něž jsou cíle této politiky uskutečňovány, jsou v práci uvedeny i základní informace o zbývajících fondech a také o evropské politice Hospodářské a sociální soudržnosti. Okrajově je v práci zmíněna i problematika Evropského sociálního fondu v České republice kvůli možnosti porovnání s republikou Slovenskou. Praktická část práce je věnována porovnání operačního programu Slovenské republiky s operačním programem České republiky včetně analýzy obsahových náležitostí tematicky stejně zaměřených výzev vyhlášených v rámci zvolených operačních programů. This bachelor thesis disserts on the European Social Fund and its utilization in the Slovak Republic, primarily in the current program period 2007-2013. The European Social Fund, as a fond which focuses on the development of human resources and the actions against the unemployment, contributes to the implementation of the objectives of the Policy of economic and social cohesion, which was constituted exactly for the purpose of decreasing the differences between the European regions especially in terms of standards of living and economical advancement. Whereas the European social fund is only one out of the other European structural funds which conduces to the realization of the Policy of economic and social cohesion, there are also mentioned some information about these other structural funds in this thesis. There is also a brief comment on the topic of the European social fund in the Czech Republic on account of possible comparison with the Slovak Republic. The practical part of the thesis is devoted to the collation of the Slovak operational program with the Czech operational program including the analysis of the content essentials in terms of the thematically similarly aimed appeals which were proclaimed within the chosen operational programs.
