This diploma thesis is focused on the evaluation of the actual situation of the company by SWOT analysis, Porter's five forces analysis and selected indicators of financial analysis. The problems identified by these indicators are further elaborated, compared with competitive company operating in the same branch and used a propsal of improvements. This proposal should contribute to better performance appraising company in the future.

The subject of my thesis is to evaluate proposal to improve the marketing strategy of the hotel Joseph 1699 in Trebic after a year of the operation. It is important for the hotel Joseph 1699, to develop a proposal, how to improve the quality of marketing strategy to be competitive and viable on the market in Trebic and surroundings. In the theoretical section are explained the economic matters, which were used in the practical part. The practical part is focused on processing of marketing analyzes, and proposal how to change and improve marketing strategies. With these proposed changes would have the hotel Joseph 1699 to improve and strengthen its position in the market in Třebíč.

International competitiveness of Czech Republic in new millenium

The diploma thesis examines the development of the competitiveness of Czech Republic since 2000 by means of measurable and comprehensive indicators. The first two chapters generate the theoretical basis for following analysis. In the first chapter is defined the concept of competitiveness at the macroeconomic level. The second chapter deals with methods and principles of measuring competitiveness, which are applied to economy of Czech Republic. First is examined the export performance and its development in the new millennium. Following is analyzed the indicators of cost competitiveness compared with EU member states. Eventually are described evaluation results of the World Economic Forum and the International Institute for Management Development.
Analysis of the market of lower middle class cars with target of increasing market share for product

The main goal of this thesis is to analyse possibilities for market share grow for new model of Mercedes-Benz A class in the Czech republic, the car comes to market by 2012 and belongs to lower middle class category. The method for reaching the goal is analysis of competition forces by Porter, it means threat of new entrants and substitute products, bargaining power of buyers and suppliers and rivalry among existing firms. The sources for information are statistics from SDA and intern data from Mercedes-Benz Czech republic and websites of car dealers. Results are sorted in SWOT scheme. Conclusions are marketing recommendations: the strategy of differentiation, keeping main brand competition advantages, in short term increase of investments in promotion, in middle term fight with bad local reputation and increase of dealerships and services in ČR.
Analysis of the competitive insurance market.

The work process analysis of the competitive insurance market life insurance in the Czech republic. There are comparison of three insurance companies, which are offering life insurance: Pojišťovna České spořitelny, Kooperativa and CSOB pojišťovna. As the processing methods of analysis are used: Porter, marketing questionnaire and SWOT analysis.
