Artificial neural networks and their application in the assessment of insurance risks

The present work studies applicability of artificial neural networks in the assessment of insurance risk. Structure and function of multilayer perceptrons, Kohonen maps, Fuzzy ART networks, and Fuzzy ARTMAP networks are described. Concept of insurance risk is defined and the ratemaking by generalized linear models is introduced. Neural networks' methods for reduction of input space's dimension, knowledge extraction, and visualization are summed up. Data describing traffic accidents are acquainted and results achieved on them are presented. The work successfully demonstrates theoretically and experimentally that multilayer perceptrons approximate better than generalized linear models. Modification of multilayer perceptron estimated distribution function of total claim. Analysis performed by Kohonen map and by subsequent visualization detected two significant clusters. Analysis by Fuzzy ART network is presented as a part of new algorithm for reduction of input space's dimension. New algorithm inspired by Fuzzy ARTMAP network discovered a group of accidents where the claim is above average. This group is delimited by interpretable rules. Attached CD contains scripts for Matlab and MySQL that was used for mentioned analyses.

Comparison of modern fitness programs Zumba with cardio training Body Pump and their impact on the health of women in the age between 18 and 30 years

This thesis is focused on the research of comparison of modern fitness programs of Zumba and Body Pump. Theoretical part of the thesis introduces basic terms resulting from the name of this thesis, such as physical condition, heart frequency, heart frequency zones and energetical cover. I present modern fitness programs of Zumba and Body Pump in detail, I describe their origin, evolution and influence on health of women. In theoretical part of the thesis, I describe methods and techniques of examinations. There is included calculation of BMI, WHR, Bio Impedance Analysis, creation of curve, which is based on pulse frequency depending on load using sporttester. At the end, I evaluate emotional changes using psychological questionnaire POMS. Measurement was in two parts, input and output. Results were processed in detailed graphs. The goal of this thesis is to serve for finding out influence of modern fitness programs on health of women.

Generování dokumentace RELAX NG schémat

Práce se zabývá problematikou automatické tvorby dokumentace XML schémat psaných v jazyce RELAX NG. V tomto směru předkládá rozbor jazyka RELAX NG, zejména po jeho formální stránce a z hlediska konstrukcí jazyka, dále seznamuje s formátem DocBook, objasňuje jeho volbu jako výstupního formátu pro generátor dokumentace a navrhuje konkrétní dokumentační podobu, probírá možné způsoby automatického generování, zdůvodňuje volbu jednoho z nich a popisuje implementaci založenou na zvoleném způsobu. Součástí práce je i praktická realizace generátoru.

Malaysia tax system, reforms and the politico-economic trends in Asian area

This diploma thesis deals with the tax system of Malaysia in the political-economic context. It outlines the basic tax conditions on the territory of the Federation of Malaysia in the context of tax systems in the region. In order to give a plastic picture of the issue, the current tax conditions and ascertained data are compared, by means of charts and tables, with the countries neighboring Malaysia -- Singapore, Indonesia and Vietnam. In connection with the political-economic development also the Asian financial crisis is emphasized, which caused a drop in economic growth and a change in the existing fiscal policy. A substantial part of the thesis is devoted to the analysis of the tax burden and of the tax system structure. In the conclusion, the thesis compares and evaluates the tax systems of the neighboring countries.

Postavení a specifika dánské ekonomiky v EU

Práce nejprve seznamuje čtenáře se základními ekonomickými a politickými znaky dánské ekonomiky a dále poskytuje přehled o postavení dánské ekonomiky v kontextu Evropské unie. V tomto směru je kladen důraz jednak na zhodnocení pozice Dánska a států s podobnými dílčími charakteristikami, jednak na význam dánské ekonomiky ve vztahu k největším ekonomikám EU nebo k EU jako celku. Poslední část práce se blíže zabývá třemi konkrétními specifiky dánské ekonomiky a sice sociálním systémem, trhem práce a sektorem energetiky.

The bachelor thesis named Help the Children! Collection Project - Case Study of the 11th year in 2009 deals with a particular period of this long-term collection project in terms of noncommercial marketing, aiming to describe this project in detail with focus on the aspect of communication. The particular chapters therefore deal with a general characteristics of this project, its specific target groups or various possibilities and ways how contributions can be made to the collection bank account and how it is therefore possible to support projects helping disadvantaged children and children at risk. Considerable attention is also given to the communication of the project during the period of the 11th year, the nature of its campaign and the communication tools used. By means of the terminology of the non-profit sector and of the social marketing, the thesis introduces us to the basic terms related to the topic.

Analýza výkonosti vybraných podílových fondů v ČR

Práce se věnuje komplexnímu představení oblasti českého kolektivního investování se zaměřením na analýzu výkonnosti vybraných tuzemských fondů. První část práce přibližuje vedle právní úpravy kolektivního investování také jeho aktuální situaci. Druhá část seznamuje čtenáře se základními ukazateli, které jsou používány při analýze výkonnosti fondů. Závěrečná část je zaměřena na vlastní analýzu vybraných fondů českého kolektivního investování. Veškeré výpočty a postupy jsou k dispozici na přiloženém CD. Autor považuje investování do fondů kolektivního investování v současnosti po právní stránce za bezpečné, plně propracované a z pohledu ekonomického také velice perspektivní.

Marketing orientation of charity fundraising

Diplomová práce pojednává o fundraisingu neziskových organizací. Zaměřuje se především na stránku komunikace a strategie fundraisingu. V teoretické části seznamuje čtenáře se základními pojmy použivánými ve fundraisingu, dále popisuje metody a nástroje fundraisingu. Praktická část se věnuje zhodnocení a srovnání australské charitativní organizace Anglicare Sydney a české charitativní organizaci ? Arcidiecézní charita Praha. V dipl. práci jsou popsány a zhodnoceny silné a slabé stránky kampaní a některých komunikačních materiálů. Autorka využívá vlastních zkušeností z odborné pracovní stáže v Anglicare Sydney a získáných poznatků z návštěv pracovníků Arcidiecézní charity Praha.
