GENRE AND ACTING TOOLS
Nesvadbová, Annette ; PLEŠTILOVÁ, Miroslava (advisor) ; SALZMANNOVÁ, Eva (referee)
In my dissertation called "Genre and Acting Tools", I am focusing on the moments during my studies at the Theatre Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts (DAMU) and at the Disk Theatre that were both significant and crucial to me. I am trying to outline the course of my work on different parts and the obstacles I had to deal with. In this context I am focusing on the differences in the acting tools for different dramatic genres and how they apply to the selection of graduate plays at the Disk Theatre.
Actor partnership on stage and in front of the camera
Koudela, Jakub ; SCHEJBAL, Milan (advisor) ; PAVELKA, Tomáš (referee)
The subject of the thesis is exploration of actors’ interplay both on the stage and in front of a camera, because only common acting of the main characters creates a dramatic situation. In connection with this topic, at first I determine elementary characteristics of the actors’ partnership with all its important objectives that the actor should notice. I am trying to see acting as a social activity and further write about the contact between the actor and auditorium and the actors themselves. Then I relate actors’ partnership to other acting practice and thus prove its presence in the whole art of acting. In the conclusion I deal with negative influence of actors’ interplay due to blocking the actor’s creativity and I look for means of removing those blocks. In terms of these topics I enclose my personal experience as a proof of my theoretical reasoning.

The most important are director and partners on the scene and around and next the theatre space and scene space (set design solution etc.). The thesis has also chapter about needs to know yourself for acting. And then I describe the ways with a drama text, undramatic text and without text too. How we were working without text and what it mean for me and my character. Next chapters are about extreme forms of actor‘s work. Which is performance and immersive theatre. The last two chapters are about film acting and acting with text in foreign language.

Metamorphoses of Phaedra´s Confession of Love
Křápková, Lucie ; KYSELOVÁ, Eva (advisor) ; JOBERTOVÁ, Daniela (referee)
This Bachelor thesis looks into changes of dramatical rendition of the myth about Phaedra in terms of her confession of love. It compares four dramatical texts: tragedy Hippolytus by the greek playwright Euripides, play Phaedra by roman dramatist L. A. Seneca, tragedy Phedre by Jean Racine and Sarah Kane's Phaedra's Love. It determines changes of the relations and motives of the main characters projected into Phaedra's confession. It pays attention mostly to the analysis of the texts themselves but at the same time it does not turn from the main characteristic of these four dramatists, nor social context of creation of these plays.
Attachment and communication in romantic relationships
MARELOVÁ, Anna
This thesis deals with the attachment and communication in romantic relationships. First, there are defined basic theoretical grounds of attachment in childhood, adulthood and romantic relationships. The work also specifies the romantic relationship and the communication in a romantic relationship and its division into four communication styles - assertive, passive, manipulative and aggressive. For the practical part there was chosen a quantitative research, whose main objective was to determine the relation between dimensions of attachment and communication styles in romantic relationships. The work also examined whether the communication styles differ according to the type of attachment. It was also researched whether there is a link between the lenght of relationship and the dimensions of attachment. The research sample consisted of data from 333 respondents. There were used two questionnaires - "ECR-R" for detecting the attachment of an individual and "Questionnaire of 4 styles of communication in romantic relationships." Attachment is made up of two dimensions - anxiety and avoidance. It was found out that with decreasing levels of anxiety and avoidance individuals use a more assertive style of communication. Conversely, those with higher levels of anxiety and avoidance, often prefer negative communication strategies (either passive, aggressive or manipulative). Further, it was discovered that depending on what attachment individuals have, they use different styles of communication. The research also showed that there is no significant connection between the dimensions of attachment and the length of relationship.

The gender differences were examined too. The questionnaire used for this research was made specially for this bachelor theses and was built on basic knowledge from theoretical part. Statistic data processing was made in the Statistica 12 program and we used Mann-Whitney test and Contingency table. At the beginning 13 hypotheses were set up and in the end five of them was confirmed. In discussion there are reasons and limits of research analyzed.

The Influence of Combined University Studies on Relationships
VÁLEČKOVÁ, Soňa
The bachelor thesis "Influence of Master's Studies in combined form on the relationships in partnership" highlights the broader context of the changes in cohabiting and simultaneously acquaints us with the circumstances that may affect the development of the relationship between partners. One of these circumstances, which may largely affect the relationship, is the higher education in combined form one of the partners. In the Czech Republic, it is still not common to share domestic work and childcare equally between woman and man. Higher study of one of the partners can bring a problem in partner negotiations of how to reconcile the two work (study) career with the care of the relationship, household and children. Generally, this situation can lead to many conflicts between partners, which may even result in a breakup or divorce, because higher education in the combined form is not a short-term issue, but it takes three to five years. An important factor to deal with this long-term stress to the relationship is primarily balanced distribution of roles between the partners, which is necessary to add to a reciprocal mutual understanding, tolerance and support, without raising unnecessary conflicts. The goal of this study was to determine whether the relationships affected university studies in a combined form, and whether there exist differences in the impact on relationships when man or woman is studying. The first objective was to determine which areas of partnership are the most negatively affected in the Master's Studies in combined form one of the partners, the second objective was to determine whether the influence of higher studies in combined form one of the partners lead to the disintegration of a relationship (divorce , gauge). Based on the selected targets, two hypotheses were set: (1) "Higher education in combined form has a negative impact on relations in the partnership" and (2) "a relationship is negatively affected when woman is studying." To obtain the necessary information I used quantitative research that was conducted through a questionnaire survey. The questionnaire used in the framework of the research had 19 items and mainly open and semi-open questions were used (see Annex). The sample consisted of students of the combined study of Health and Social Care at the University of South Bohemia in the Ceske Budejovice, living in a relationship or married. The total number of respondents for the research process numbered 146, of which 110 were women and 36 were men. Conclusions when comparing the responses of women and men need therefore to be viewed with regard to their overall relationship. Categorical data analysis and statistical processing of the data survey was carried out by sorting the second stage. Authenticity hypothesis was tested by chi-square test (see Figures 14 and 17). The results of the survey are presented in graphs. The first hypothesis "Higher education in combined form has a negative impact on relations in the partnership" has been confirmed. The results showed that during the study, respondents in partnership increase the volume of disagreements, especially in caring for the couple and in the care of the household, so I also got the answer to one of the goals. The second hypothesis, "a relationship is negatively affected when studying the woman", was not confirmed. For both sexes, there are differences in the relationship between their university studies in a combined form, but did not show a statistically significant negative impact of the study on women partner in the relationship. Discussion is focused on comparing the results of my research with the results of other sociological studies on similar issues.
