Proměnlivost multiplikátorů vládních výdajů v čase: Evidence z dat z USA
Focht, Daniel ; Maršál, Aleš (advisor) ; Chytilová, Helena (referee)
This paper estimates the size of the government spending multiplier over different states of the economy. Previous research came with two contradictory conclusions. Part of the literature argues that the spending multiplier is larger during recession and zero-lower bound periods, while the second one concludes that it remains constant. First, a summary of the relevant literature is presented, outlining different types of used methodological approaches and estimated size of the multiplier. We build a model estimated using local projections by Jorda for the period 1889 to 2016 to estimate government spending multipliers over different states of the economy. Our results show that the spending multiplier remains constant over different states of the economy.
Expansion of Calamagrostis epigejos
Lajpertová, Lenka ; Vachová, Pavla (advisor) ; Alena, Alena (referee)
In my Bachelor thesis, I focused to behavior strategy of reed grass (Calamagrostis epigejos (L.) Roth ) during settlement of newlyfree areas. I paid a special attention to its speed during the settlement. Further focus of the thesis is to the way of expansion of the grass to new stations. The last orientation of my work was how the species influences the composition of newly formed community. This grass from the family Poaceae (Poaceae) is mainly characterized by vegetative spreading which is typical for creation of underground rhizomes. Particularly this creation of the rhizomes makes this grass successful competitor during settlement of free areas. Beside the method of reproduction, its advantage is a creation of old vegetation (dead overground part of the plant), which is one of the many competitive advantages of the grass. The Thesis is based on an experiment with freely planted grasses framed by plastic rings. The Calamagrostis epigejos (L.) Roth was deployed to the center and border positions. I tracked the way of its expansion and the speed of the settlement from the given location. Further I followed the spatial arrangement of plants at single areas and the arrangement from the time change point of view. One of the most important abiotic factor is a temperature. In summer 2015, the temperatures higher than average combined withthe lack of the rain, the most probably influenced the speed of development and expansion of Calamagrostis epigejos. Calamagrostis epigejos did not produced any height or volume progress during its vegetative period. It concentrated its energy rather to the production of its ramets which are typical for this kind of the grass and which make it successful in occupation of the areas. The speed of the grow was average, more visible at center positions than at border ones. Compared to that, average higher distance of ramets was achieved at the border positions. In so much as Calamagrostis epigejos did not introduce its competitive skills in full, it gave the room to spread to other types of plants in its neighborhood. Species diversity of single plant communities did not differ significantly on individual plots, the biggest coverage occupied common groundsel (Senecio vulgaris) there.
Development of the anchor expansion silicate based material with thermal resistance
Müller, Jiří ; Bydžovský, Jiří (referee) ; Drochytka, Rostislav (advisor)
The research conducted focused on studying the development of expansive, silicate based- anchor materials that were resistant to high temperatures. The results showed that shrinking is a critical property as volume can change (mainly cause shrinkage) the anchoring materials. This can ultimatly lead to a collapse of a loaded connection. The aim of the study was to summarizing products on the market, to develop the development of anchor matters alone and methodology for testing. Selected were directly related to expansion and thermal resistence.
Methods for Monitoring of Volume Changes of Cement and Polymer-modified Mortars
Vrablová, Simona ; Sedlmajer, Martin (referee) ; Žižková, Nikol (advisor)
Bachelor thesis is focused on monitoring of volume changes in polymer-modified mortars. Using Czech and foreign literature searches are processed, in which mortars in general and ongoing chemical and physical processes are described. Thesis is further concerned with description of polymer-modified mortars and with explanation of polymer-matrix forming mechanisms. The following are noticed volume changes and experimental methods of their investigation. Experiment is performed by monitoring the volume changes in polymer-modified mortars using two selected methods. For comparison volume changes in gypsum are also measured.
Accumulation of energy in compressed air
Rešiliáno, Tomáš ; Kracík, Petr (referee) ; Pospíšil, Jiří (advisor)
The thesis deals with the principle and issues associated with operation of the storage power stations, known under the acronym CAES (Compressed Air Energy Storage). Examples of existing and upcoming CAES power stations from commercial sphere are listed and described there. The paper also includes an overview of basic CAES station wiring diagrams and a simplified calculation is performed to compare the efficiency of the chosen diagrams. In the final part of the thesis there is a scheme of so-called adiabatic CAES designed and calculated. For this type of device has been designed suitable wiring and a thermodynamic calculation of the cycle was performed for the purpose of evaluation.
Business Plan
Havránek, Lukáš ; Dombek, Petr (referee) ; Veselý, Josef (advisor)
The Bachelor’s thesis aims to provide necessary information for successful expansion of GrowJOB institute to Austria. Since 2006 GrowJOB has been educating CEOs and other executives of Czech companies in the field of competitiveness and been helping them grow stronger among their competitors. In the thesis I describe theoretical background of business plan creation and analyze both internal and external environment. Then I focus on individual steps of the expansion and provide a detailed financial plan as well. The most robust competitive cutting edge of the company is that it takes advantage of new scientific findings in the field of decision-making processes (behavioral economics, neuroeconomics) and brings them to everyday life of firms.
Proposal of Scootland s.r.o. Development Strategy
Přidal, Hynek ; Vokálová, Jarmila (referee) ; Zich, Robert (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with drawing up a proposal of Scootland s.r.o. development strategy. It focuses on position of company on the scooter spare parts market in the Czech republic and Slovakia and possibilities of its further growth. Goal of this work is a 5-year development plan including consequent steps which leads to strenghtening of positions on the company’s markets.
Sampling Rate Conversion
Hylmar, Petr ; Vítek, Martin (referee) ; Kozumplík, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis is focused on sampling rate conversion by a rational factor interpolation and decimation and sampling rate coversion by an arbitrary factor interpolation and decimation. There are described methods sampling rate conversion in time domain based on lowpass FIR linear filter and in spectral domain based on zero spectral lines. These methods are created in Matlab programming and tested on particular example. The results of this thesis are sensible parameter lowpass FIR linear filter for sampling rate conversion and discussion success rate used methods.
Mechanism of a one-cylinder diesel engine with elongated expansion
Filipi, Jaroslav ; Novotný, Pavel (referee) ; Píštěk, Václav (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with mechanism of combustion motor that enables greater expansion ratio then compression ratio. The main advantage of motor mechanism is verified in thesis, which is greater thermal efficiency then compared to conventional diesel motor. Additionally, there are investigation of kinematic variables, force of gas pressure and inertia forces, which operates in different bindings mechanism. The last part deals witch strength of selected parts of the proposed mechanism.
Business Plan for Expansion of the Enterprise to the US
Václavková, Lucie ; Švejda, Jiří (referee) ; Kopřiva, Jan (advisor)
This study presents possibilities of an expansion of the enterprise to the United States. The study´s goals are to come up with the most convenient option of how to make this expansion feasible. Outcome of thesis is comprehensive business plan helping owners implement this project.
