3D Driving School
Kapoun, Petr ; Veigend, Petr (referee) ; Šátek, Václav (advisor)
This thesis deals with design and implementation of a 3D driving school simulator. After the analysis of existing solutions and the design of the simulator, this thesis discusses the issue of checking the rules on the road and the possibility of their implementation in the simulator. The Unity 3D game engine was chosen for this task. The models were created in Blender.
Data Visualization Blender Add-On
Doležal, Zdeněk ; Milet, Tomáš (referee) ; Chlubna, Tomáš (advisor)
With growing interest in visualisation techniques, possibility to extend existing 3D computer graphics software by visualisation tools arises. Thesis deals with theory of data visualisation in general, selection of suitable visualisations, design, creation and publication of an data visualisation add-on for the open-source software Blender. Thanks to this work Blender is extended using its Python API by an interface used for data loading and commonly used charts generation. The published implementation was evaluated by user survey and it is available open-source.
Driving School - Rules of the Road
Melcer, Pavel ; Vlk, Jan (referee) ; Chudý, Peter (advisor)
This work deals with driving skills training problematics using a driving school 3D simulator, which monitors the observance of road traffic rules. Existing simulators are categorized by characteristics and described. The text contains a list of implemented rules and a summary of suitable tools. The resultant application is based on the Unreal engine and the text describes the various stages of development.
Detection of Landmarks on Vehicle Images
Chadima, Vojtěch ; Bartl, Vojtěch (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
This thesis aims to introduce automatic detection of landmarks on vehicle images. Detected landmarks can be then used for automatic traffic surveillance camera calibration or other computer vision applications. I solved the landmarks detection problem by using a novel type of convolutional neural network called Stacked Hourglass. Furthemore, I created an automatic trainig dataset (image + anotations) generator based on Blender API, which allows to create various datasets. Detected landmarks are analyzed and sorted in order to determine a set of superior landmarks that could be later used for camera calibration. The best-performing models detect up to 1 021 landmarks, while the best of them have less than 3.0 pixels average error. Finally, results can be further used in automatic camera calibration based on landmarks detection, to create custom datasets or to train Stacked Hourglass convolutional neural networks.
Futuristic Cockpit for Urban Mobility
Analysis of software for creating 3D models of interiors
Maceška, David ; Čábelka, Miroslav (advisor) ; Štefanová, Eva (referee)
This Bachelor's thesis is mainly focusing on analysis of software used for 3D modeling. The main goal is comparison Autodesk's proprietary software called 3ds Max with open-source software named Blender. The into part is about usability of 3D models and analysis of its existence. Followed by main part which includes an introduction and comparison of software already mentioned. Comparison is formed by technique and way of making 3D content. Hardware requirements for each software is also mentioned. The subjective best software for a 3D interior modeling is chosen by created criteria. The final part refers to other possibilities of creating 3D interior models. Keywords: 3D model, Autodesk, Blender, Interior
Architectural visualization in virtual reality
Driving School - Rules of the Road
Hlipala, Martin ; Vlk, Jan (referee) ; Chudý, Peter (advisor)
This project is focused on the simulation of traffic rules and user interaction in a virtual scene, where it allows to examine user`s knowledge and skills in context of the traffic law and rules. The designed application is monitoring user`s activity and identifiing traffic violations caused by the user`s bad behaviour. Based on the gathered information, the user is provided with an information about the rules he/she disobeyed. This application was designed using the Unity 3D technology. 3D modeling software Blender was used for creating, texturing and assigning material properties to 3D objects used in the project.
Creation and Demonstration of Assets for VR Application
Zouhar, Marek ; Tóth, Michal (referee) ; Milet, Tomáš (advisor)
This thesis deals with the concept of virtual reality, its history, present-day possibilities and available devices and technologies for virtual reality and ways of creating assets such as models, textures and animations for virtual reality applications. The practical part of this work deals with design and creation of three-dimensional models, textures, animations and environment for use in interactive application in virtual reality and also with design and creation of such application to demonstrate their use.
Interactive 3D graphics with WebGL
MÁČE, Lukáš
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to prepare options for creating and displaying interactive 3D graphics by using JavaScript environment WebGL. In this work, I will describe the basic methods and techniques which can be used to create interactive 3D content using WebGL. One of the options, which this bachelor thesis will deal with, is creating 3D graphics through Javascript commands, simultaneously using Javascript 3D library Three.js. Second option, which will be described with is creating interactive 3D graphics without knowledge of programming languages. This option is represented by graphics tools like Bledner or Coppercube 3D, which enables creating interactive 3D graphics and export them to the WebGL. Both methods will be analyzed and compared with each other. The outcome of the work will be set of practical examples, created by both methods.
