EMU crisis management - effectiveness of stabilization of the euro at the time of debt and currency crisis

The thesis analyzes measures adopted and applied by the EMU crisis management in years 2010 to 2012, that means at a time when debt and currency crisis was affecting the euro area countries the most. The main focus is dedicated to the rescue mechanism EFSF and expansive monetary policy of ECB as these crisis management tools were used for stabilization of the debt situation in Ireland, Portugal and Greece. Analyzing of these tools leads to assess their contribution to selected country and to European monetary union as a whole. The final part is devoted to possible solutions for the debt crisis and to the future of the eurozone and the common currency.
Public budgets of all EU members between the time period of 2008 to 2011 - basic problems and their solutions

This bachelor's thesis deals with the problematic of public budgets in the EU countries. It treats of the current situation in individual member countries by fulfilling budget rules, analyses possible causes of current debt crisis and sketches out future outlook. First part focuses on theory of fiscal and budget policy and defines basic terms. In the second part is a characteristic of the public financing situation in individual EU members during the following time period to find. In the last chapter there is a summary of current budget problems in specific EU countries, like installation of economic measures or implementation new steps in order to coordinate fiscal policy.
Greek debt crisis and its impact on EU

Greece joined EU in 1981 and became a member of the European Monetary Union in 2001. With its budget deficit and government debt, which do not comply with the Maastricht criteria for a long time, Greece belongs to the weakest members of EU. The impact of the global financial crisis, combined with structural weaknesses of the national economy, which significantly reduces its competitiveness, occurred in Greece in 2009. At this time pressure on international financial markets, the Greek government bonds, and the common European currency, was intensified. Greek bond rating has gradually dropped to the junk level and the interest rate of bonds has exceeded the acceptable limit. Concerns about possible default followed.
The Franco - German relations in the context of the European debt crisis

The bachelor thesis deals with the background of the European debt crisis with an emphasis on the role of the main creators of the European Monetary Union, France and Germany. The thesis aims to analyze both economies in the context of the current eurozone crisis and point out their responsibility for today's adverse situation. In the first chapter I deal with the Franco - German cooperation during the process of building the Monetary Union. The second chapter compares their economic policies, while the focus is on Germany's pro-export policy and its impact on the other euroarea countries. The last chapter focuses on the solutions to the crisis which have been largely the result of agreements between these two countries.
Analysis of foreign trade with EU members at the time of European debt crisis

This bachelor thesis analyzes the development of foreign trade of the Czech Republic with members of the EU in time of the European Debt Crisis. At the beginning of the thesis a foreign trade is defined, given its subject, dynamics and comparative advantage of the Czech Republic. An analysis is given of territorial and commodity structure of foreign trade. Territorial analysis is performed using regression analysis of data from 1999-2009. Also is defined legislative framework. The conclusion summarizes the acquired knowledge.

The aim of this thesis is an analysis of the current sovereign debt crisis in the Eurozone. In the first part the establishment of the Euro area is described and the key events which preceded it. Subsequently, the paper discusses the the origin and causes of the crisis in general and then in particular, in the most indebted countries in the Eurozone. The second part concerns about current development of the situation, including measures approved to stop the crisis. Last chapter analyses the possible solutions of the crisis and the direction, in which the Eurozone, or more precisely Europe, might head towards.

Thesis is divided into four chapters, which analyze the origin, causes, consequences and possible solutions to the current situation of the debt and institutional crisis. The analysis does not aim to predict how the situation will develop a priori. It follows the long-term development and offers various options that can resolve the debt problem.
The solution of the crisis in Ireland and Portugal: comparative analysis

The aim of this thesis is to describe the progress of the debt crisis in Ireland and Portugal, two countries, except of Greece, that have been the most affected by current developments and forced to ask for international financial assistance. The first chapter describes the historical and economic context that shaped the long-term development of these economies and is essential for the proper understanding of the present situation. The second chapter focuses on specific causes of the crisis, in Ireland, it analyzes the housing bubble puffed up after the adoption of the euro and in Portugal, it underlines the long-term and persistent structural problems. The third chapter discusses the conditions of granting the international loans, along with the planned national measures and the last chapter evaluates success of the implementation of these policies and the expected development in the near future for both countries.
