Steel Structure of Observation Tower
Virág, Patrik ; Pilgr, Milan (referee) ; Hron, Lukáš (advisor)
The subject of the diploma thesis is design and structural analysis of loadbearing steel structure of observation tower, which is located southeast of Černá Hora, township Blansko. The design is processed in two options. Parts of the thesis are engineering report, structural design report for both of the options and graphical documentation in specified range. The structure’s height is 25.3 m and maximal ground plan dimension is 6 x 6 m. Steel grade S355 was chosen as main material. The sub-objectives of the structural analysis are load effects calculations (permanent load, imposed load and climatic load), entering of loads to the calculation model and calculation of internal forces and deformations. An assessment of the supporting elements and selected joints is also included. There are dynamic design features considered in the calculation. All calculations were performed in accordance with valid ČSN EN standards.
Printed Circuit Board Modal Analysis Results Comparison from Experimental and Computational Modeling
Oplt, Tomáš ; Vosynek, Petr (referee) ; Tošovský, Jiří (advisor)
Modal analysis of printed circuit board results, gained from computional and experimental modeling, have been compared. Anylyses have been performed on dummy boards (models without electronic components), created as one-layered at first, then as three-layered PCB. Board is usually clamped by its longer edges with wedgelock. In order to enable the realization of boundary conditions in computional and experimental modeling, real clamping has been simplified to simply supported. Computional models have used FEM elements, which are comomnly used in this type of problem. Determined results have been evaluated by comparing the experimental modeling results. Models‘ sensitivity on modification of element length and number of elements through thickness have been performed.
VUT 081 Kondor aircraft aeroelastic analysis
Talanda, Tomáš ; Šplíchal, Jan (referee) ; Juračka, Jaroslav (advisor)
This master thesis deals with VUT~081~Kondor aircraft flutter analysis. This aircraft is being designed at the Institute of Aerospace Engineering, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Brno University of Technology. The thesis contains detailed aircraft description, natural frequency and normal modes computation as well as aircraft structure flutter analysis and critical flutter velocity determination. Some structure improvement recommendations have been given in order to increase the critical flutter velocity and to fulfil the CS-VLA regulation requirements.
Flexible couplings on the principle of fluid
Machů, Tomáš ; Habán, Vladimír (referee) ; Pochylý, František (advisor)
The thesis deals with flexible shaft couplings especially with new category of flexible couplings on the principle of fluid. Mathematical model of gas spring and rotor system with two degrees of freedom are derivated in this work. Last part of the work deals with design modification of flexible coupling with gas springs.
Creation of database of stator core stiffness of rotational electrical machines
Podzemný, Zdeněk ; Donát, Martin (referee) ; Dušek, Daniel (advisor)
In this thesis is wrote up a complete procedure of stator core stiffness determination using finite element method (FEM), subsequently, the stator core stiffness database was created according to this procedure. In the next chapter is carried out a sensitivity analysis of one chosen stator core, which led to identifying parameters that affected its stiffness the most. Finally, a modal analysis of one synchronous machine was performed using FEM, in order to determine the effect of stator core stiffness on modal characteristics of the machine. Several modal shapes and corresponding natural frequencies were computed in this analysis, then only a few shapes with the highest core effect were chosen and compared.
Dynamics Improvement of CNC Axis with Ball Screw
Ciklamini, Marek ; Blecha, Petr (referee) ; Březina, Tomáš (advisor)
This work deals with virtual designing of ball screw drives of CNC machine by modern software tools to approximate evaluation of dynamic behavior of real system. Realized multi body system of thrust axes actuated by synchronous motor is analyzed and after that are designed elements of control used for accuracy positioning of table.
Drivetrain of a 8x8 truck
Hebnar, Tomáš ; Kučera, Pavel (referee) ; Píštěk, Václav (advisor)
This thesis is focused on building a replacement torsion system of drivetrain of 8x8 and 8x4 trucks and subsequent computational analyses of built systems. There were made two analyses. The first one is a computational analysis of the shapes of vibration and The second one is a sensitivity analysis. The sensitivity analysis is studying effect on the size of the natural frequencies under the effect of gear ratio.
Analysis of vertical synchronous generator modal properties
Kornherr, Milan ; Donát, Martin (referee) ; Dušek, Daniel (advisor)
This Master´s thesis deals with the analysis of modal characteristics of the vertical synchronous generator. The goal of this work is to determine influence of individual parts of the generator on modal characteristics. Another part of this thesis contains analysis of different variants for storaging the generator and also structural modifications, which lead to the improvement of the modal properties. For modelation was used cumputional modeling in ANSYS.
Modal Properties of 6-cylinder Tractor Engine Powertrain
Strength analysis of cutting tools
Petrlíková, Helena ; Madaj, Martin (referee) ; Zouhar, Jan (advisor)
This work is focused on the stress-strain analysis of a cutting tool. At the beginning, the study of available literature and scientific articles relating the topic is carried out. The solution of stresses and strains in whole real system has been carried out based on the computational simulation using the finite element method (FEM). The work contains a detailed description of the creation of the computational model. Model of geometry of the system has been created in the SolidWorks program. Computational simulation including the solution was implemented in the ANSYS Workbench program as well as in the classical environment of ANSYS 12.0. This work includes the presentation of results and subsequent stress-strain analysis of the cutting tool. Last part of this work deals with the modal analysis and harmonic analysis of cutting tools made in classical environment of ANSYS program.
