Data Concentrator for Smart Grids
Franek, Lešek ; Beneš, Bedřich (referee) ; Kučera, Pavel (advisor)
The goal is to design data concentrator for Smart Grids. Data Concentrator provides the interface between the server systems of distribution companies and end devices, which are electricity meters, water meters, gas meters and other equipment. There are hardware and software design solutions and there is also discussed creating its own distribution of Linux.
Modulations in PLC systems
Procházka, Vít ; Kouřil, Jiří (referee) ; Krajsa, Ondřej (advisor)
The bachelor thesis describes principles and methods of Powerline Communications, practical usage possibilities both in industrial applications but mainly in broadband systems that may represent promising competition to conventional broadband access, e. g. xDSL connections without the need of new wiring, WIFI etc. The thesis also focuses on problems that can occur in the communication channel from the view of electromagnetic compatibility and assorted interferences. The 50 Hz frequency electric network (60 Hz in the USA) was not designed for data signal transmission, problems may arise mainly at higher frequencies and broadband communication. It is necessary to implement methods which enable transfer of information signal through a communication channel with minimalization of problems such as interference, cable attenuation, electromagnetic compatibility, bit error rate (BER), etc. Furthermore, currently used modulation principles and their characteristics are described, such as spread spectrum modulation DSSS, FHSS, traditional OFDM, alternative modulations FMT and DWMT with filter banks. The last chapter of the bachelor thesis features models of particular modulations created in the Matlab-Simulink program and the conclusion presents advantages and disadvantages of their implementation in PLC systems.
Power distribution network model
Bradáč, Lubomír ; Mišurec, Jiří (referee) ; Mlýnek, Petr (advisor)
The thesis is focused on PLC technology issues and thus the data transmission over a power-line. This work describes characteristics of the PLC technology, its usage, functional principles and used modulation techniques. The main part of the work describes individual kinds of interferences in the network. The method of necessary steps against these interferences by using the right modulation and relevant coding is also described in the thesis. On the basis of theoretical knowledge, the models of interferences are realized in Matlab/Simulink. The simulative model of power-lines with random parameters is designed and realized for each elected techniques of modulation (BPSK, QPSK, ASK, FSK). The method of PLC channels modeling is chose as a multipath signal spreading for topology with one and two branching and the dependence of their transmission functions are inquired too. The analysis of interference influence on the data transmission is performed via the created models. All acquired results are compared and evaluated in the conclusion of this thesis.
Cascade model of power lines for PLC
Dziura, Michal ; Mlýnek, Petr (referee) ; Mišurec, Jiří (advisor)
The thesis is dealing with data transmission over the electric network. It describes PLC technology, its properties, and elements used in this type of network. The important part of this thesis is discussion over the mathematical model of distribution network with two-port cascades. Transmission functions created according to mathematical model were compared with each other. Thesis was concluded with observation of the impact of interconnected parts on transmission function of designed branched conductor. Final results were processed by Matlab and compared with each other.
Design of electric control small dispersed sources on the basis PLC
Morávek, Jan ; Macháček, Jan (referee) ; Radil, Lukáš (advisor)
This thesis summarizes the basic theoretical knowledge on the problems of controlling the small hydro power plants. Briefly lists the basic requirements for the control system and provides an overview of the available automation systems. The main part of the thesis describes the requirements for the control system and its specific design based on the Unitronics PLC.
Computer modelling of data transfer over power lines
Křivka, Petr ; Mlýnek, Petr (referee) ; Mišurec, Jiří (advisor)
The master‘s thesis is focused on data transfer over power lines. The influence of connected devices on data signal is studied. In this thesis, you can find the descriptions of PLC technology characteristics, sources of signal interruption and, mainly, the method of modelling the PLC channels as a multipath signal propagation environment is thoroughly discussed. There are models of PLC channels using this method projected in Simulink. The analysis of the influence of connected devices to bit error rate of a signal is processed. The devices are modelled by connected impedance.
Power quality measuring system
Valenta, Jaroslav ; Mrákava, Petr (referee) ; Mlýnek, Petr (advisor)
This thesis deals with the measurement of power quality. The evaluating quality parameters, data collection systems and transfer technologies will be discussed. The various type of cryptographic algorithms are also described. Cryptographic algorithms, which ensure to secure data communications from remote collection points of measurement, will be realized. These cryptographic algorithms will be realized in MATLAB and C/C++. The last part is focus on designed and implemented a simulation model to telemetry the power quality.
Conrol of synchronous drives
Mrtvý, Bohuslav ; Malounek, Petr (referee) ; Pivoňka, Petr (advisor)
The document describe servo drive by B&R and the control algorithms with vector control. There is also mathematic model of synchronous motor, design of control the system of two connected motor and implementation these algorithms in to the PLC and Acopos. The Master’s Thesis contains confrontation of results of real system and ideal model.
Distribution network models
Hrabčík, Oldřich ; Mišurec, Jiří (referee) ; Mlýnek, Petr (advisor)
This thesis deals with transmission of data over power-line. There is theoretically described PLC technology and its classification, properties and used modulation techniques. A substantial part is focused on the mathematical description of distribution network using two methods, with multipath propagation and ABCD matrix. These methods are mutually compared. Furthermore, they are examined depending on the transfer functions of the topology and capabilities for unknown topology. Calculations of transfer functions are implemented using Matlab. The results were then processed graphically and evaluated.
Expert system
Šimková, Jana ; Polách, Petr (referee) ; Jirsík, Václav (advisor)
The main point of the work is an identification with NPS32 expert system, the describtion of the ways of getting knowledges. By choosing a suitable district for the expert system aplication, the suggestion of the knowledge base for the district will have been the result of the work.
