Foreignes on the Labour Market in the Czech Republic focused on the South Bohemian Region

My thesis is related to issues concerning foreigners in the labor market. It deals with the overall development of both the number of foreigners in the Czech Republic and also in the South Region. The main objective is to evaluate the economic activity of foreigners in South Bohemia. The paper focuses on criminality of foreigners.
Foreign direct investment in the South Bohemian region

This bachelor thesis deals with the topic of foreign direct investment in connection with localization factors. The theories of localization of a company and their development are summed up in the theoretical part, followed by a definition and division of foreign direct investment. The practical part analyses the cash flow of foreign direct investment in a concrete region -- the South Bohemian region. The analysis is focused on the investor's country of origin, the description of specific supported sectors of economy and the analysis of chosen localities. All acquired knowledge are concluded in the final part and based on them the main localization factors for cash flow of foreign direct investment in the South Bohemian region are defined.
Analysis of the flu pandemic in the South Bohemian Region

In the thesis there are chronologically processed data about incidence of influenza Pandemic (H1N1) 2009 from its first incidence in spring 2009 in Mexico until the official end of the 6th phase of pandemic announced by the WHO in august 2010. These data were collected by means of secondary analysis. The thesis is focused on the Region of South Bohemia from the first proved incidence of Pandemic influenza (H1N1) 2009 here. The data necessary to meet the objectives of the work and to answer the research questions were collected in cooperation with the Regional Hygienic Station of the South Bohemia in České Budějovice. 3 deaths were analysed in the context of incidence of Pandemic influenza (H1N1) 2009 in the Region of South Bohemia and anti-epidemic measures were assessed. Differences in 121 people with Pandemic influenza (H1N1) 2009 in the Region of South Bohemia from the point of view of age and sex were described. In 52 people with the flu from the Region of South Bohemia ?traveller? history was recorded (these people were infected during their stays abroad) and most of them had stayed in Germany. Indicators of morbidity (ARI) in the Region of South Bohemia and in the whole Czech Republic were also processed and then graphically compared.
The Significance of Cross-border Cooperation in the Context of Activities of Bavarian Forest / Bohemian Forest Euroregion, Pilsen Region and South Bohemian Region

Cross-border cooperation (CBC) influenced the regional development of the border regions. CBC is very much supported by the European Union and its funding policy. Cooperation between border regions is considered as a key to the joined Europe. Since 1989 there is a special programme supporting CBC within the member states of EU. A new programme supporting cross-border cooperation between the member states and the candidates' countries "Phare CBC" was developed in 1993. This paper is focused on selected issues of cross border cooperation of Euroregion Šumava, Pilsner region and South Bohemian region. Euroregion Šumava was established in 1993. It is a voluntary association of cities, villages and other joined organizations intent on the cross border cooperation with similar association on Bavarian and Austrian site of border. These three associations established trilateral Euroregion Šumava{--}Bayericher Wald{--}Mühlviertel. Together they implement the principles of European regional policy. Cross border activities of Euroregion Šumava were analyzed on followed issues: 1. Euroregion budget and its development between 1998{--}2006 2. Projects supported by Small Projects Fund realized by Euroregion 3. Projects realized under the financial support of Small Projects Fund Phare CBC and Interreg IIIA (focusing on the projects´ holders, priority areas and districts) Pilsner and South Bohemian regions were established in 2001 as regional authorities. They provide national and regional service partly financed by their own resources (mainly tax income) and partly by grants received from central authorities. Together they constitute the cohesion region of NUTS 2 "Southwest". Pilsner and South Bohemian regions create joint regional development policy and strategic documents because of implementing Regional operational programme. So far CBC was not part of their common regional policy. Cross border activities are analysed on the projects realised under the Interreg IIIA programme, which was managed by the Secretary of Cohesion region. Special focus is put on the projects´ holders, priority areas and regional aspects. Results of analysis are summarized in graphs, tables and maps.
Economic Crisis Impacts of Travel Industry in the Czech Republic

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to analyze the impact of the crisis on the tourism in the Czech Republic, to describe the influence of the crisis and specify it closer in the selected area. On the basis of the questionnaire to analyze if the crisis has had any influence on visitors, if they changed their behaviour and describe this influence. The results of the questionnaire compare with the situation found in a specific subjects in the tourism and draw the relevant conclusions from this comparison.
Destination Management in Practice

The aim of my thesis is to analyze the operation of selected organizations of destination management in the South Bohemian region or in other regions in the neighborhood. My work focuses especially on comparison the existence, operation, focus and also cooperation between individual subjects of destination managements. The thesis brings a real recommendations in order to improve efficiency in operation of these subjects.
LABOUR MARKET DEVELOPMENTS IN THE SOUTH BOHEMIAN REGION WITH FOCUSING ON THE PRESENT

The theme of diploma thesis is the analysis of developments on the regional labor market in the South Bohemian region. The analytical part of the work is focused on assessing the development of employment and unemployment and on the evaluation of factors that influence this development. The work monitors the position of women on the labor market in the South Bohemian region. The work assesses overall labor market developments in the the South Bohemian region and compares this trend with the situation in the Czech Republic. The work analyzes the development of social care and assistance in material need, the trend has been influenced by changes in the development of unemployment and legislative changes in the provision of these benefits.
Analysis of the use of subsidies from the Rural Development Programme for the improvement of market opporunities (eco-farms South Bohemian Region)

The thesis is focused on evaluating the engagement of organic farms in South Bohemia in Rural Development Programme ? Axis I (improving the competitiveness of the agricultural, food and forestry sectors) and Axis III (improving quality of life in rural areas and diversification of rural economy).Literature gives a basic overview of the Common agricultural policy, organic farming and how to obtain grants from the European Union. In introduction of practical part are presented the basic statistic data about the organic farming in South Bohemian Region. The next chapter is focused on the use of subsidies in organic farming and on the controlling of authorize projects. At the end of this thesis are presented chosen successful projects.
Distribution of ginkgo (Ginkgo biloba L.), American tulip tree (Liriodendron tulipifera L.) and sweet chestnut (Castanea sativa Mill.) in the South Bohemian region.

The aim of this thesis is to revise known locations of maidenhair tree (Ginkgo biloba L.), tulip poplar (Liriodendron tulipifera L.) and european chestnut (Castanea sativa Mill.) in the South Bohemian region. Some of these data was taken off of literature, herbarium and by my own research. The maidenhair tree, tulip poplar and european chestnut are introducted species of plants there in Czech Republic. This woody ornamentals act as extraordinary. These beautiful trees could be found growing in manor parks and city parks. Only minor part of them is in private gardens. In sum I found 40 places of maidenhair tree, 34 places of tulip poplar and 33 places of european chestnut myself.
The analyze of content of reports from regional TV focused on social sphere.

Bachelor thesis analyses number and content of reports presented by local TV, operates in South Bohemian region between the years 2009-2010. Research is focused on reports dealing with social themes and compares the coverage of these reports to coverage of other themes, and states their ratio. The analyze of content finally studies, which themes of social work are medially preferred. Following information were finally confronted with representatives of local TV. Their statements make clear how it goes in TV studios and shows the principles on which base the reports are choose. This research also shows the attitudes of these studios to presentation of social work in medias. Theoretical part of this work deals with this relationship, besides of definition of basic terms and tissues.
