The Performance Evaluation of the Company using the EFQM Excellence Model

The master’s thesis evaluates the performance of SUEZ CZ a.s. company applying the EFQM Excellence Model and subsequently discusses proposals to improve company’s performance. The thesis is divided into three parts. The first part outlines the necessary theoretical bases, that are further used and applied to the chosen company SUEZ CZ a.s. in the second part. Lastly, in the third part, the conducted questionnaire survey is evaluated and measures for improvement in problematic areas are proposed.

The basic concepts related to the capital structure, the issue of optimizing the capital structure, the factors that affect the capital structure and the financial performance of the company are explained. Furthermore, the work deals with a proposal of ways or sources, by which the company could optimize its capital structure in order to streamline its business.

The Performance Evaluation of the Company using Balanced Scorecard

The diploma thesis focuses on the performance evaluation of ALMIPA plus s.r.o. using the Balanced Scorecard method. The theoretical part defines the basic theoretical background, which are necessary to understand the issue and the subsequent processing of other parts of the thesis. The analytical part focuses on the introduction of the analyzed company and the financial and strategic analysis of the company. The findings of the analyzes serve as a basis for design part, which is focused on the proposal of implementation of BSC into the company. In four perspectives of BSC are established the strategic goals of the company, established benchmarks and strategic actions, which intention to meet the set goals, improve the company's performance, but also increase its competitiveness.

The diploma thesis focuses on the evaluation of the performance of a selected company operating in the food industry in the period 2013-2018. The thesis uses PEST analysis, regression analysis and time series analysis in Maple software and benchmarking. Using these tools and the results of analyses, proposals are made to improve the company's performance and also future potential development of the company is descripted.

The Master thesis "Evaluation of the performance of the company using financial analysis tools" is focused on the evaluation of the financial efficiency of the selected enterprise based on classical and modern methods of financial analysis. The theoretical part is devoted to the issue of performance evaluation of a company from a theory point of view. The individual methods, including the ways of their calculations, are described. The theory from the first part follows the second part, where the selected indicators are applied to real company. The practical part includes a detailed analysis of selected indicators of financial analysis. Based on the results of individual indicators of classical and modern methods of financial analysis, recommendations are proposed to improve corporate performance.

The aim of the diploma thesis Evaluation of Company Performance is to propose the implementation of the Balance Scorecard for selected company CZECHmetal spol. s r. o., which aims to increase the competitiveness and performance of the particular company. The analytical part is devoted to the introduction of the company and the services offered, the design part will be elaborated on the basis of strategic analysis outputs. Strategic goals are set out in individual perspectives as well as benchmarks that accompany target values. The thesis sets out strategic initiatives that lead to the achievement of the objectives previously set. The conclusion contains the risks and benefits associated with the implementation of the model in society.

Equity incentives and company performance

1 Abstract The equity-based incentives are considered to be one of the instruments helping to motivate executives. The use of this compensation framework should in theory tackle and mitigate the agency problems, and prevent the possible attempts of managers to pursue their own interest over the interests of shareholders. The literature focusing on the effects differs greatly. There is no conformity over the effect of equity compensation on company performance. This research study the effect of CEO-related equity incentives and stock ownership on company performance. The main finding is the positive effect of the equity incentives measured by the percentage of CEOs' equity- based compensation on company performance proxied by the change in Tobin's Q. The thesis does not find any significant effect of insiders' stock ownership. The dataset of 107 publicly traded US companies is used for the empirical analysis. The results are estimated based on a fixed effects model and pooled ordinary least squares. This thesis contributes to the ongoing debate over the effects. It also widens the narrow literature on the structure of compensation. The master thesis deals with performance evaluation of Imos Brno a.s. using the Balanced Scorecard method. The theoretical part is the basis for measuring the performance of the company, it contains the theoretical knowledge gained from professional literature. The next part of the thesis is dedicated to the presentation of the selected company and then financial and strategic analysis is performed. The results of these analyzes become the basis for the last part of the work. This section discusses the individual steps of implementing the Balanced Scorecard model to the selected business to improve business performance.

This diploma thesis is focused on an assessment of the efficiency of the company ZLOMEK, s.r.o. in 2012-2016. The first part defines the basic concepts and describes methods of measuring the efficiency of companies in general. The second part carries out a strategic and financial analysis of the ZLOMEK company. Its results are then compared with two close competitors and industry averages. The end of this thesis suggests potential improvemens that ZLOMEK can implement.
