Logging data of Formula Student
Novotný, Libor ; Vdoleček, František (referee) ; Zuth, Daniel (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with description of sensors principle which are used in Formula student monopost. There are also descriptions of ECU, expanding units and improvement which can be done in electronics of the vehicle, also implementation of datalogger Omega L2. Reasons why are specific sensors and actuators used is described. The bachelor thesis also contains demonstration of logged data.
Smart materials in aviation
Riger, Rostislav ; Jetela, Václav (referee) ; Klement, Josef (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with smart materials and their applications in aviation. The theoretical part explains what we mean by the term smart materials and what we want to achieve with their use. Further, these materials are sorted according to the principle of their function and described. The practical part is focused on specific applications of smart materials in aviation. Sometimes these are only theoretical applications that have not yet been used.
Re-design of steering servo-actuators for Car4 experimental robot
Vespalec, Tomáš ; Hadaš, Zdeněk (referee) ; Vejlupek, Josef (advisor)
This thesis deals with the development and design of the wheels mechanism in an experimental vehicle Car4. During this work, we introduce the vehicle axle load calculation, with components and systems, allowing linear and rotational motion, and different design proposals for the application of these systems in the vehicle. The result of this work will be a new mechanism for the wheels of the experimental vehicle Car4.
Pellet grill control system
Vařečka, Ondřej ; Friml, Dominik (referee) ; Dokoupil, Jakub (advisor)
This thesis focuses on determination of basic requirements for a pellet grill control system. It also explores expansion possibilities of these requirements with respect to user-friendliness. The thesis also includes a description of the system represented by the grill using differential equations and simulations of temperature responses during heating and cooling. After establishing the requirements for the grill control system, suitable components are selected to achieve an optimal balance between functionality and cost. The next step involves the creation of a functional schematic using the KiCad software. A printed circuit board (PCB) is designed and assembled using the components. Finally, the PCB is powered, and firmware is developed to control peripherals.
Paralelní diagnostika u systému vstřikování paliva Common Rail u vybraného vozidla
ŘEHOUT, František
Work on the topic of Parallel diagnosis in the fuel injection system Common Rail for deals with the measurement and evaluation of oscilogramů, which are measured on the sensors and action the members of the fuel system. The aim of this thesis is therefore to carry out, document and describe the diagnostics of the fuel system of that car using measuring instruments and diagnostic tools that are available in the context of school education.
Aircraft lifting surface morphing
Přikrylová, Helena ; Juračka, Jaroslav (referee) ; Dubnický, Lukáš (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with the introduction of morphing wing technology, more specifically camber morphing. It describes the specific requirements in terms of different construction parts by presenting various morphing concepts. The first part is dedicated to brief description of the motivation for wing morphing, that is followed by introducing different morphing concepts that use kinematic or compliant mechanisms in order to achieve shape changes of the airfoil. The need of anisotropic skin and several ways of achieving the anisotropic behaviour are described as well as the pros and cons of the use of conventional actuators and innovative smart materials. The last chapters deal with the validation of morphing wing benefits and the demonstrations of the feasibility of the morphing concepts.
Numerical Analysis of Asymmetrical use of Actuators on a Membrane Structure
Kapolka, Lukáš ; Štulerová, Lenka
This paper is focused on the numerical analysis of an adaptive membrane structure, the model of which was created on the basis of experimental device in the lab. It was researched out the effect of asymmetric use of actuators on the membrane structure without structural loads. Results of the article describe the behaviour of numerical model. The results gained from numerical model will be compared in the future with the results measured out from the experimental device.

A platform for Automatic Testing of Embedded Devices
Dušek, Oto ; Grochol, David (referee) ; Vašíček, Zdeněk (advisor)
The bachelor thesis describes design and implementation of a platform which can be used for testing embedded devices like printers and scanners. The platform is composed of the server and concrete testing elements interacting with devices. The elements can be controlled via the server, which hosts REST API. The result is the fully functional application system including creation of hardware prototype of card emulator and paper sensors for testing the basic functionality of printer devices. However, in future new requirements can be added for testing, so the platform has been developed with easy extensibility by new sensors and actuators.
