IRIS – International Railway Industry Standard

This Master's Thesis is engaged in business management system requirements of International Railway Industry Standard. The goal is to provide reader with an overview of the requirements of Standard, their introduction into the existing business management system, outline some of the issues associated to the implementation and evaluate the benefits of implementation by analyzing presumed costs associated to the certification of system and expected revenues arising from the successful certification. In conclusion it will assess the results of the evaluation of benefits and other factors leading to a final decision whethere it is a better option for the company to undergo the certification process or negatives will exceed and therefore the company will do better by making its effort in another direction.
ICT in public administration

This bachelor thesis is devoted to eGovernment in Czech Republic with a major focus on project of data boxes. In the first part I compare some of the selected electronic services of eGovernment in EU countries with analysis of level that was reached. This includes clarification of the Czech Republic's position in the ranking of EU countries in meeting of computerization services. The second part is already dedicated to the situation of implementing data boxes in Czech Republic. My purpose is to introduce large and significant project for the computerization of public administration. I want to refer the legal aspects and risks associated with data boxes, problems with their implementation but also evaluate the benefits of this project. The last part is about the situation in the Slovak eGovernment and possible visions for the future. The most important of this part will be the analysis of every possible risks that could jeopardize the implementation of data boxes in Slovakia. I want to focus on legislative aspects of the eGovernment and also the situation after that act was applied.
The model of ERP system users behavior in post-implementation phase

The master thesis deals with ERP implementation projects, especially in context of post-implementation phase. It examines the impact of user behavior on the realized benefits of the newly established information system. Important point of the thesis is the acceptance of the system by users and their resistance to change. Significant causal relationships with the potential to influence successfull ERP implementation are described. By using system dynamics approach the model is created and simulations are then carried out. Subsequently, the results are presented and analyzed.
Implementation of helpdesk solution for ticket management

Master thesis deals with implementation of helpdesk solution provided by Kayako Fusion in medium-sized IT outsourcing company. The first part focus on analysis of existing application in technical department, together with an analysis of management and customers functional requirements. Subsequently, the helpdesk system is designed to fulfill the objectives of analysis. In the last part of the thesis you will find detailed description of procedure for implementation and customization of mentioned helpdesk application. The proposed solution is based partly on provision of IT services (ITIL), especially the area of Incident and Problem management. In conclusion you will find the statement indicating if the implementation of Kayako Fusion fulfilled the expectations of management, meet predetermined requirements and become suitable tool to support and carry out daily business processes.
Estimation methods while type application software implementation

This essay deals with estimation methods while implementation of Type application software. After the introductory part, which stipulates objectives of the work and descriptions of how to achieve them, is a general description of basic features of the project. After this part, there are characterized basic attributes of estimates, various approaches to their formation and problems that can accompany estimation activity. This work also describes diversification of information systems according to their way of development on Individual application software and Type application software. Then it defines their mutual differences while implementation. Next chapter resolve the first objective associated with exploration of implementation methodologies used by companies operating on the Czech market in the area of IS / ICT. Part of this chapter is dedicated to the AcceleratedSAP methodology which describes the life cycle of projects. The following chapter deals with the performance of the second objective, which is a comprehensive overview of estimation methods. Some items from this list are later selected for more detailed evaluation, in account of some of them are marked under the third objective as suitable for projects dealing with implementation of Type application software. In the last section of this essay is solved the main given objective, which is to implement some of chosen estimation methods into AcceleratedSAP methodology. Later in this chapter is recorded a reflection on possibilities of using model based estimation methods in area of Type application SW. It is followed with a proposal for possible course of development of such a model. The work ends with a practical example of effort estimation through UCP method adapted for the Type application software environment. This is followed by conclusions evaluating the achievements of set objectives.
Business Case for implementation of CRM

This thesis deals with a theory of business case. The contribution of this work is to show procedure and methodology how Accenture company creates the business case. There are explained basic principles of CRM. Moreover, there is a practical example of business case which shows the implementation CRM into telecommunication company. The work is based on my consultations of this issue with a senior manager from Accenture in combination with detail analysis of all relevant materials. The first part describes a theory of business case, its steps, methodology and a way how to create it. The second part explains a theory of CRM in condition of telecommuniation company. The third part is recapitulation the business case desinged for telecommunication company.

The introduction outlines options available to a company when selecting information system, continues with the discussion of implementation process, legal requirements laid on accounting systems and data protection. The practical part is dedicated to the implementation of the information system at a spa hotel with emphasis on the process of accounting integration.
Usage of Microsoft SharePoint in small and medium business

This thesis focuses on the possible usage of Microsoft SharePoint in small and medium size companies. The main objective is to introduce a system that came brand new in 2010 and is called the Microsoft SharePoint Foundation and is precisely designed for the given segment of market. The thesis describes the technology with regards to the division of the market, current financial expenses for the company and procedures for obtaining the software. It also contains necessary hardware and software requirements to ensure performance and stability in relation to business processes. Following is the description of a fictitious company in which the system is introduced virtually from the basic product installation, division of the costs needed for training employees to post functionalities suitable for use in a given environment. I find the added value in the practical experience collected during my work on this project. In particular, during installation, set up of rights, simple integration with Active Directory, SQL, and the pre-defined business processes.
Place of supply for services and its recent changes in relation to the implementation of new European Union Directives

This paper is dedicated to problematics of determining the place of supply, which was significantly changed at the beginning of 2010. These changes were linked with the implementation process of the European Union Directives 2006/112 and 2008/8. The general rule was changed and the list of exception, which belongs to special rule, was shortened. In this paper I am analyzing these changes and present model examples, where I describe these changes.
Implementation of business information system: Theory and Practice

The work try to familiarize the users with information systems in contemporary business and show the greates weakness in the implementation of information systems in enterprises. The issue of implementation is addressed in the work from all sides and angles. First, the implementation process itself analyzed and its parts. The following are general methods applicable to software development and evaluated their use in the implementation process. In addition to the implementation process is part of the work given to the management. In the work is discusses how to look at the company's management can influence the implementation process. Another problem to be solved are the key factors influencing the course and success of implementation. In addition of these factors are mentioned the most important risks affecting various stages of implementation. Based on these risks are created by three specific scenarios which could arise in individual cases of emergency. Gradually, readers are drawn into the issue and during the actual implementation in real practice. The individual parts are reminded of the most significant weaknesses or places that none of the parties should not be underestimated. In addition to the actual weaknesses of the implementation process are discussed and two basic Casework across the entire spectrum of companies. At the conclusion of the implementation process is displayed in a graphic sketch, where the individual problems of implementation are shown in the very way the implementation process. The reader can better imagine the implementation process, including the sequence of steps. Complete implementation issue is addressed in the work of all views of interested parties. So your company owner will find thinking about the implementation, or project manager who deals with the issue. The work is based on the author's years of experience in information systems implementations themselves.
