Sustainable development of tourism in Portugal

The thesis deals with the concept of sustainable tourism development and its application in Portugal. The first chapter explains the sustainability of tourism, introduces the chosen forms of sustainable tourism and the indicators of sustainable development. The second chapter provides the general characteristic of Portugal as a tourist destination and describes the incoming, outgoing and domestic tourism. The third part is focused on sustainable development of tourism and its form in Portugal. The final chapter analyses the chosen indicators of sustainable development of tourism. The goal of the thesis is to depict the current state of sustainable tourism in Portugal.

The final thesis deals with the sustainable tourism development in the destination of Albania. First chapter tries to explain the most important definitions such as sustainable development in its general conception and the sustainable tourism development as the specific form. Second chapter describes Albania as a country with basic information, history or economic situation. Third chapter follows describing Albania as a tourist destination. Last chapter represents the key part of the whole document. It analyses the sustainability in the development of tourism in the country with the final creation of SWOT analysis and recommendations.

The aim of work was analysis of meaning reconstruction of castle Vimperk for development of town in the field of tourism. On the basis effected analysis determine and evaluate possible impacts realization of reconstruction of castle on development of touristic destination. First part of work is focused on tourism in town Vimperk together with present state of local castle. In second part of work were to be on the basis field investigation evaluate possible impacts of reconstruction of castle Vimperk on corporate environment in the field of tourism and on quality of life inhabitant in town, and also was suggested new usage of castle space.

The thesis deals with the concept of sustainable tourism development and its application in destination Finland. Main goal of the thesis is to depict the present state of sustainable tourism in this Nordic country and evaluate sustainable development of tourism in North Savo region. In the theoretical part, the importance of tourism and the sustainable tourism development is discussed. The following part is concerned with a basic characteristic of Finland as a tourist destination and the description of incoming and domestic tourism. The emphasis is further placed on an analysis of prerequisites for sustainable tourism in Finland. The analytical part focuses on an evaluation of sustainable tourism development awareness in North Savo region based on a questionnaire survey and selected indicators of sustainable tourism.

The study is concerned with the cooperation of the Czech Republic with neighbouring states in sphere of equestrian tourism and how they organize this form of tourism.

The aim of this thesis is to indicate positive and negative impacts of tourism on the environment and to emphasize the importance of sustainable tourism development. The thesis analyses prerequisite of the Russian Federation for the development of alternative forms of sustainable tourism. In the theoretic part are characterized geographical, sociodemografical and environmental conditions as well as current situation of tourism and sustainable tourism in the Russian Federation. The main gain of the thesis is the identification of threats and opportunities in the development of sustainable tourism in the Russian Federation.

The thesis discusses the main factors influencing the sustainable tourism in Norway and is focused on the development of Norwegian ecotourism. Last but not least there is a summary of the main recommendations for sustainable travelling in the thesis.
