Home automation, input and output modules
Ponechal, Mikuláš ; Novotný, Radovan (referee) ; Levek, Vladimír (advisor)
The bachelor´s thesis mediates theoretical analysis of home automation using IoT application. The aim of the thesis is to desing input and output modules to make controlling of electronic devices easier for user. The first chapter describes wireless technologies which are mostly used in IoT applications, principles of measuring current in order to determine energy consumption and ways how to dim lights. The second chapter includes design of wireless communication between the modules and a central control station and specific module designs. The third chapter deals with the construction and testing of hardware modules.
Home automation, control unit
Konečný, Jakub ; Novotný, Radovan (referee) ; Levek, Vladimír (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis focuses on theory about a home automation and represents the solution of the smart central server unit, designed to control wireless connected devices, read and display temperature, pressure, relative humidity data and set up automatic functions in graphical user interface. The work is more focused on the software section and describes the implementation of server technologies.
The Internet of Things in Practice
Bajgl, Vojtěch ; Vaněk, Jiří (referee) ; Vyroubal, Petr (advisor)
The subject of this diploma thesis, is the Internet of Things, and its use in applied practice, with a subsequent design of a custom system of smart home automatization. It acquaints the reader with the issues of automated home and smart systems, including a basic familiarization of regulations as declared by law about electronic devices. The attributes of miniature computer platforms, developmental boards, and wireless modules for the design of custom systems are analyzed and compared. The biggest part of the thesis is dedicated to a design of a custom system, specifically designing the central processing module and other controlling modules for controlling various electric home appliances. The main controlling unit of the system is a Raspberry Pi 2B unit, with which it is possible to control a device in a household through an user-friendly web application.
Internet of Things Device Based on Thread and 6LoWPAN
Piškula, David ; Nosko, Svetozár (referee) ; Musil, Petr (advisor)
Internet of Things is among the newest phenomena of information technologies. This work describes the evolution and future of the Internet of Things and provides an overview of its current applications, then summarize the communication interfaces and protocols usable for the creation of the Internet of Things. The main focus is put especially on the IEEE 802.15.4 standard, 6LoWPAN protocol and the Thread technology. It also explains the term of Cloud Computing, platforms that are providing it and related types of databases. The design, implementation and testing of a Thread based solution are part of this thesis.
Automated Plant Growing
Švancer, Jan ; Široký, Adam (referee) ; Musil, Martin (advisor)
This thesis combines two current trends - the Internet of Things and Urban Agriculture. It describes technologies for wireless sensors communication in smart homes and hardware for their implementation. Based on these technologies smart hardware for automatic plants growing is implemented and connected to cloud with remote access via iOS mobile application.
Home automation
Taufer, Pavel ; Mareš, Martin (advisor) ; Ježek, Pavel (referee)
We design an unified system for home management and monitoring -- for example controlling lights, thermostat, roller blinds, etc. We research various methods of communication with devices used in home automation. We design an unified interface for communication with said devices independent on specific hardware. Then we implement the designed abstraction, a set of specific automation software and a graphical user interface. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
Using LOXONE system installation for Design control and regulation the heating system in house
Novák, Michael ; Bátora, Branislav (referee) ; Pěcha, Jiří (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the division of the system installation and gives an overview of electrical appliances and heating system. It focuses on the Loxone system installation. The main part is the project documentation of wiring, programming the control of a family house and regulation of the solar thermal system for heating water and the heating system control. It also includes a simple economic evaluation of the proposed solar system.
Princip bezpečného vzdáleného ovládání zařízení pomocí mobilní aplikace
FILIP, Ondřej
The bachelor thesis deals with designing and describing the principle of secure wireless communication assembled system of heterogeneous devices with developed user mobile application in the context of the use in independent home automation environment. This system device consists of a modular executive unit, which is implemented by using devices from Texas Instruments. It also consists of a server unit, which is used for local communication with executive unit and for external communication with mobile application. Mobile application has basic functions for controlling and monitoring status of the executive unit.
Design of a GUI for Home Control for the Elderly
Válek, Lukáš ; Materna, Zdeněk (referee) ; Fučík, Jan (advisor)
This work focuses on the problems with the design of software for the elderly and ways to solve them. Furthermore, a design of a control interface for smart homes, which takes these problems into account, was done. The process of the design is described and reasons for the decision that are made are given. Following is a description of the implementation of the proposed interface and its testing on a targeted group of users. The work also outlines a possible extension of the interface for further use.
Gamification of Mobile Application for Intelligent Home Control
Lamacz, Jan ; Korček, Pavol (referee) ; Žádník, Martin (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the possibilities of raising users' motivation to use the application for the Intelligent home control. It describes common principles of implementation of game-based mechanics into the real-life systems and deals with the concrete design of motivational programme. Practical part of this thesis describes the implementation of the designed system of rewards and its display in the mobile application. The final application contains the motivational system for users based on collecting points and achievements and covers the majority of the functions of the Intelligent home.
