Audio amplifier controlled by the IP protocol
Dvořák, Petr ; Schimmel, Jiří (referee) ; Kouřil, Jiří (advisor)
The bachelor thesis is intent on projection and realization of a device whitch is capable of communicate with a remote client through the Ethernet making use of the protocol set TCP/IP. This communication will be used for the control of analog and digital outputs of the device, which is able to be attached to any amplifier of audio signals. One of used protocols is UDP. This protocol is closely described, because it is used for transfer of data controlling outputs. The whole device is controlled by microprocessor ATmega32, which operates the communication with the ethernet interface through the controller ENC28j60, the communication with the D/A converters MCP4922 and controlling of digital outputs and a display. The device has its own IP and MAC address for identification in the network. It is possible to edit both addresses in the menu of the device with the help of the module LCD, the display of 2x16 characters with fours buttons. The audio amplifier staffed by the voltage controlled by the computing amplifiers SSM2018T is connected to this device. The amplifier is proposed as six-channel with symmetric inputs through the connectors XLR and unsymmetric outputs through the connectors CINCH. The operating programme which is able to be run on PC with the operating system Windows is necessary for the remote control of the device in the network and all functions of the device are controlled by this programme. This programme enables to control the device after setting the IP address of the destination device and the communication establishment. The motherboard is proposed as a universal module which keeps at disposal up to 6 analog outputs with the range of the control voltage 0 – 5 V and up to 21 binary inputs/outputs.
Construction of class T audio amplifier
Tejmlová, Lenka ; Slezák, Josef (referee) ; Petržela, Jiří (advisor)
The aim of my bachelor’s thesis is to collect information about amplifiers, working in the T class. Because these amplifiers are usually used as digital power processing audio amplifiers, we mostly insist on the ability of sending, the signal without distortion, to amplify the frequency broadband signal, to obtain the high efficiency of the output stages and to obtain the peak quality of the sound. My task is to gather information and facts of principle of the function of the audio amplifiers working in the T class and reasonably priced integrated circuits of this class. Furthermore I am going to focus on the design of wiring of this amplifier with the 2x20 watts output, including the correction pre-amplifier, which provides correction of the heights, basses and volume. The amplifier is realized, in the end of bachelor’s thesis, there are measured it’s characteristics, which are compared to theory.
Class AB audio amplifier for two satellites and subwoofer
Cupák, Jan ; Brančík, Lubomír (referee) ; Kratochvíl, Tomáš (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with design of AB class audio amplifiers. Further more it deals also with other functional blocks, e.g. preamplifier, tone equalizer and active crossover. Outcome of this work is a complete solution of the amplifier with it's simulation. In final solution is also included scheme of a high quality power supply unit, speaker protection and heat sinks for high performance transistors. In this project is also included a solution of task about optimal mechanical arrangement of the single parts in the case of this amplifier. This thesis contains results of measurement and photo document of functional prototype.
Class D audio amplifier with PWM modulation
Arvai, Luboš ; Petržela, Jiří (referee) ; Kratochvíl, Tomáš (advisor)
The aim of this project is design audio amplifier working in class D with power output 2x20 W. In the beginning is shortly described a principle of amplifiers in class D. In the next chapter is block circuit diagram and requirements list for individual blocks. In next section is closely described circuit design of correction preamplifier, PWM modulator with driver of power transistors, power stage and output filter. At the conclusion is summarized experimentally obtained knowledge. On the basis of this knowledge is described modification of original design.
Power audio amplifier with AC/DC converter
Melša, Vojtěch ; Kováč, Michal (referee) ; Kubíček, Michal (advisor)
The aim of this work was to design and construct a simple audio amplifier, which would be based of involvement and components used in switching power sources on the maximum degree (for example from usual ATX sources for computer). The main motivation for development is the existence of many old sources that do not use and big interest of users for the construction of home audio amplifiers for small and medium power. Amplifiers based on switching power sources with greater efficiency and less weight than comparable classic amplifiers (working in classes A, B or AB). Their disadvantage is the complicated design and introduction of distortion and spurious signals to the amplified signal. This work will be described a design of simple amplifier, which will minimize these negative effects. For shortcomings and wrong parameters this proposed involvement will be eventually described and implemented design of amplifier in class D.
Automated workplace for amplifier parameters measurement
Jurčík, Petr ; Čejka, Miloslav (referee) ; Havlíková, Marie (advisor)
The aim of this work is to create an automated workplace for measuring the basic parameters of audio amplifiers using a graphical programming environment LabVIEW. Subsequently, the functionality will be verified in practical measurements on the real amplifier.
Class D audio amplifier for active loudspeakers
Cupák, Jan ; Punčochář, Josef (referee) ; Kratochvíl, Tomáš (advisor)
This master's thesis deals with design of D class audio final amplifier, which was output power 400 W for 4 ? load impedance. Designed audio amplifier is specifical for active speaker, which consists of satelite speakers and subwoofer. Further more it deals also with other functional blocks, e.g. balanced input preamplifier, active crossover and protection for safety running. Outcome of this work are schemes of each functional blocks of D class audio amplifier, whose functionality was verified by simulation. Thesis also contains full reference material including mechanical arrangement of functional blocks on printed connection board. The conclusion contains the measured parameters of function blocks of produced prototype and complete photographic documentation.
Design of switching-mode audio power amplifier
Svadbík, Vít ; Sutorý, Tomáš (referee) ; Brančík, Lubomír (advisor)
This work describes the design of audio amplifiers operating in switching mode. The first part describes basic principles of the power stage switching concept. There is described differences between classes of amplifiers according to technology. The second larger part includes design and construction of the switching amplifiers. Design is implemented, including the preamplifier and power supply. Power supply works in switching mode. The measured parameters of the proposed facility are given in the last part.
Design and making of low-frequency power amplifier in class AB
Dušek, Martin ; Kratochvíl, Tomáš (referee) ; Brančík, Lubomír (advisor)
In this bachelor thesis I am occupied with low frequency amplifiers, theirs important parameters, classes and with integrations end-level. Next I am occupied with miscellaneous types of preamplifiers and additional circuits. There are simulated schemes of corrective preamplifier, protections scheme and high power amplifier in PSpice software in this thesis. These schemes and next additional modules are connected with DPS. This thesis contains result of measurement and photo functional sample.
The use of vacuum tubes at present time
ČEPIČKA, Josef
Aim of this thesis is to construct a demonstration model of a vacuum tube amplifier with a possibility of measurement of signal on more places and a possibility to see the wiring and construction of the amplifier. The first part of the work treats some important themes concerning vacuum tubes and wiring with them, for example a principle of signal intensification by vacuum tubes, categories of low-frequency amplifiers and description of several types of undesirable distortions. Next part deals with the design of the constructed amplifier, the description of the construction itself and placement of the components on the printed circuit boards and used vacuum tubes and transformers. The following part is focused on measurement of the basic properties of the amplifier and vacuum tubes by means of TESLA BM215A appliance. The final part contains technical parameters of the amplifier and photo documentation.
