The diploma thesis evaluates how education influences the success of young people in the labour market in Zambia and analyses the causes for unemployment and underemployment. The work covers a literature review of education and the labour market in Zambia, as well as the description of economic and social aspects of the country. The practical part contains analysis of the matters which is followed by the development project proposal. The proposal is administrated according to the Czech Development Agency and which aims to improve the situation in rural area of Kashitu in Zambia. This project focuses on reducing youth unemployment and development of economic activities in Kashitu through the construction of a new vocational centre. Foundation for the project is based on the research, which used a method of participant observation in the field, and on the cooperation with local community non-profit organization New Renato Community Society.

The bachelor thesis deals with the effect of the minimum wage on the labour market. In a literary research are describes the studies to date looking at the im-pact of the minimum wage, next the legislative adjustment of the minimum wage and the development of the minimum wage in the Czech Republic. The empirical part is focused at analysing selected professions with the lowest wages in the re-porting period of 2014-2018 and in the conclusion deal with the effect of the change in the minimum wage on selected professions is addressed. The source data was collected from databases Average earnings informations system, Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs and European statistical system.
Vliv Průmyslu 4.0 na zaměstnanost v zemědělství

The aim of this diploma thesis is to map the potential impacts of Industry 4.0 on agricultural employment – in a context of the labour market and human resources management. The theoretical part focuses on the knowledge of the entire Industry 4.0 concept, its history and possible future impacts/transfers especially in the agriculture field. The following part is dedicated to the situation on selected farms and opinions of farm managers, agricultural advisors and directors of secondary agricultural schools on the issue. Based on the analysis of primary data was revealed that currently there is a big lack of workers which is one of the main reasons why farm managers are prioritizing automate/robotize production. In the final part of the thesis is discussed gained knowledge and recommendations for farm businesses and secondary agricultural schools in a manner of using new technologies and possible impacts of automatization, robotization and digitalization on employment itself.

The diploma thesis deals with the question of how the economic development affects the ability of the indebted persons to repay the loans. The aim of this diploma thesis is to perform its own verification and subsequent proof of causality between the number of ordered executions and selected macroeconomic indicators in the time period 2010-2016. The research question will be answered whether there is a link between the macroeconomic indicators of the NUTS II CZ regions and the number of ordered executions. Literary research is focused on regional disparities, aspects of ordered executions, methods of executions, course of ordered executions and legislative modification. The subject of the empirical part is a multidimensional analysis of panel data, through which the obtained outputs are used to answer the research question.

Master thesis analyses the impact of the Europe 2020 strategy´s objectives on the economic performance of the member states of EU. The strategy focuses on smart, sustainable and inclusive growth and its objectives are in the areas of employment, research and development, climate change and energy, education and poverty and social exclusion. Master thesis analyses the impact by fixed-effects panel regression. The regression includes variables representing the objectives of the strategy and control variables representing the determinants of economic growth. Economic performance is represented by GDP per capita. The result of the regression analysis is the statistically significant and positive impact of the implemented objectives in the areas of employment, climate change and energy, education and poverty, and social exclusion. The field of research and development appears to be statistically insignificant.

This Bachelor thesis studies the development of the agricultural sector of the Republic of South Africa using selected indicators. The goal of the thesis is to evaluate the changes in the South African agriculture and to identify the potential of this sector in more detail. The theoretical part presents the field of agriculture and defines the key concepts of this topic, such as the agribusiness, the agrarian market and the commodity chains. The practical part analyses the Republic of South Africa according to selected socio-demographic and macroeconomic indicators. Furthermore, the Republic of South Africa is characterized by its geography and climate, following up by the analysis of the South African agricultural sector, the structure and extent of its production and the development of prices.

To evaluate the dependency thesis uses descriptive statistics and econometric analysis.
Economic impact of protectionist measures

Protectionism has become a hot topic in these years. Based on the data of China-U.S. trade war, this thesis explores the economic impact of protectionism on United States. The effect of U.S. protectionist measures on imports value, welfare change and employment has been estimated and the result shows although trade protection could bring benefits to the U.S. in the short term, it will cause substantial welfare losses to U.S. residents. Impact of smoke-free laws on hospitality businesses in the European perspective

Ever since smoke-free laws regarding the hospitality business were proposed, there was an argument that these policies were going to harm their revenues and employment. This bachelor thesis examines this argument in the European context. The examination is divided into three parts. First, it aims to distinguish between effects of two distinctive forms of smoke-free laws. Second, it analyzes the impact of smoke-free policies over time. Third, it attempts to assess differences of their impact based on regional or socio-economic differences. Using difference-in-differences analysis of administrative annual data from Eurostat database, this thesis does not find any permanent effect of smoke-free laws on revenues or employment of hospitality businesses. The results of the analysis also show, that if there was any significant impact throughout the first years of the smoke-free law's validity, it was always short-lasting. Still, the over time impacts of the individual forms of smoke-free laws differ. In case of a partial smoke-free law, there is a statistically significant negative impact on turnover immediately after its implementation and a positive impact on employment in the third and fourth year after its implementation. This bachelor's thesis describes design and implementation of information system, which visualizes Czech statistical data of employment, unemployment and average salary. The goal is to approach these informations to students who need to determine their future job. Data are taken from Czech statistical office and Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs. For visualization was chosen information dashboard which is visual display of the most important information arranged on a single screen.
