Usage of NS2 simulator in multicast networks
Hošek, Petr ; Mlýnek, Petr (referee) ; Koutný, Martin (advisor)
The thesis is focused on routing in data network, especially on network method of multicast. The first section closely deals with particular multicast protocols and next with models of multicast, mainly Any Source Multicast and Source Specific Multicast. The main point of this work is implementation of multicast using Network Simulator. On the practical level, two laboratory exercises are included. In this part, readers have the possibility to make sure of reached knowledge of multicast and its implementation in NS2.
Multicast Data Tunneling
Stodůlka, Stanislav ; Skořepa, Michal (referee) ; Šimek, Milan (advisor)
This document contains introducion of terms in routing multicast data and their tunneling in network. As well developing aplication in Java to test sending unicast and multicast data through network. Aplication are based on client/server. Document describe Linux daemon mrouted and alternativ daemons with similar function of routing multicast data.
Diagnostic tool for RTP sessions
Sirotný, Miroslav ; Komosný, Dan (referee) ; Šimek, Milan (advisor)
This work was divided into two parts. In the first part are worked out protocols RTP and RTCP with theory. In this part I show to what these protocols are used. The second part is dedicated to proposal of application for the diagnosis of transmission parameters RTP / RTCP relations. Programs like Tcpdump win, Wireshrak, IP / TV Viewer and the Java programming language with development setting NetBeans 5.5.1. were used while creating the application. In this part we focused mainly at two important parameters like Jitter and Packet Loss.Functionality applications. Finally, we have verifed the function of the application on Multicast Network with running IPTV.
Design of unicast and multicast models in NS2
Votava, Martin ; Burget, Radim (referee) ; Šimek, Milan (advisor)
This work is focused on Network Simulator 2 - tool used for simulating network implementations. Focal point of this work is simulating of unicast and multicast routing. This work also describes protocols used on transport layer, such TCP (Transmission Control Protocol) and UDP (User Datagram Protocol). Last but not least work includes laboratory part in which reader is able to verify reached knowledge in Unicast and Multicast simulation.
Implementation of triple-play in heterogeneous network
Obršlík, Lukáš ; Šedý, Jakub (referee) ; Krkoš, Radko (advisor)
This master thesis deals with implementing triple-play services and providing it’s quality of services in heterogenous comunnication networks. The aim of thesis is to apply the- oretical methods in real case and existing network infrastructure. Practical part aims to create technical solution to prioritize network traffic based on classification of required services. The technical solution is created with conditions of being possible to add more functions and to provide scalability.
Laboratory exercises in NS3 enviroment for Advanced communication technology course
Vadkerti, Gabriel ; Mašek, Pavel (referee) ; Langhammer, Lukáš (advisor)
This master thesis deals with creating laboratory exercises for students in simulator NS-3, where the IPv4 and IPv6 protocols, unicast and multicast transmission types, quality of services in wireless networks, furthermore protocols TCP and UDP are analyzed. The first section describes the NS-3 network simulator, the Eclipse development environment and the method how to connect them. In the next section protocols IPv4 and IPv6 are presented, the structure of the headers and the technique of fragmentation are described in detail. Based on this a laboratory exercise is created which deals with comparison of protocols IPv4 and IPv6. In the next section the types of transmissions are described, furthermore the multicast transmission type is explained more in detail. In the next practical section the second laboratory exercise is created, which deals with comparison of unicast and multicast transmission types. The subject of the following section is ensuring quality of services in data networks, the EDCA access method is discussed more in detail. In the next section the EDCA access method is implemented in a simulation as a laboratory exercise, in which the impact of the access category of EDCA to different transmission parameters is investigated. The next section deals with protocols TCP and UDP, furthermore with the structure of their headers. In the last section a laboratory exercise is created, in which the properties of the protocols TCP and UDP are compared.
Visualization of connections between computers
Kovář, Jan ; Pelka, Tomáš (referee) ; Komosný, Dan (advisor)
Project Multicast IPTV Research Group mainly deals with the proposing of new mathematical models and communication protocols within IPTV technology. This technology is associated with VOD (Video on demand) and internet services such as web pages or VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol). This bachelor thesis is focused on IPTV theory, history and achitecture. Analyse multicast, its attributes, routing and protocols used to broadcasting. Subtilize posibility of graphics formats for visualization, their advantages and disadvantages. Final objective of this project, which is solved on Multicast IPTV Research Group project, is application, which analyse input data generated by hierarchy summarization. By virtue of graphviz are generated output data in svg format. It is easy to view this svg files in later types of internet browsers.
Analysis of multicast protocols of wirelles sensor network
Krajíček, Tomáš ; Červenka, Vladimír (referee) ; Koutný, Martin (advisor)
This work deals with the issue of multicast traffic over ZigBee wireless network and implementation of corresponding protocols in to MATLAB background, further with realisation of multicast data transmission, consequential energy performance evaluation and comparation of particular protocols.
Design, realization and simulation of network protocols in NS2
Zvolenský, Daniel ; Šimek, Milan (referee) ; Koutný, Martin (advisor)
The aim of this work is to become familiar with simulation environment Network Simulator 2, study the problems of sensor networks and their support in the simulator and implement the selected protocol and verify its funcitonality in a practical simulation.
Real-time protocol implementation
Procházka, Jan ; Skořepa, Michal (referee) ; Burget, Radim (advisor)
Thesis deals with multicast broadcasts, discusses the type of ASM and SSM. Also deals with the principle of RTP / RTCP protocol for large multicast groups, for example, broadcasting IPTV. It was created a model for simulating the behavior of the network load in a large number of receivers. The application was developed in Java and uses the recommendations of RFC3550. There are also analysed processes of communication, initialization, log out, the structure of the data packets and signaling packets. The system is designed that can simulate multicast network and obtain the estimated parameters of the operation, or can operate in real traffic, for example, as a third-party monitor. In both modes, the measurement was carried out model situations. The results of the measurements were then compared. Principle and system control was described in detail. Output measurements are graphically processed and included in the work.
