Planetarium
Sokolová, Eva ; Šmak, Milan (referee) ; Barnat, Jan (advisor)
The master’s thesis object is to create a design of a load carrying steel structure planetarium. Its ground plan dimensions are 36,1 x 49,0 m. The planetarium hall’s roof is designed with system of trusses and purlins. The projection hall’s roof consists of ribbed cupola with radially arched ribs. The stiffness of the whole construction is ensured with bracings. The walls of the whole object are composed of columns, rails and bracings.
Influence Selecting the Type of the Bridge Structure at km 332,420 of Railway Dětmarovice-Český Těšín by the Effects of Undermining
Chaloupka, Martin ; Puchner,, Josef (referee) ; Kmošek, David (advisor)
The aim of the master’s thesis was t odevelop alternative solutions supporting steel structure of the railway bridge on the undermined area. The range of single fields were chosen based on the location of existing substructures. Reducing the width of bridge openings were not allowed. Based on the geodetic survey plans were drawn up clear of the current state. On the basis of specifications for developing a detailed process was chosen variant Gerber’s beam reinforced with an arch in mean field. For this variant was performed structural analysis of the main parts of the main structure of the bridge, which was calculated with the effects of undermining. For variant Gerber’s beam were made clear drawings and drawing details of the selected steel bridge construction (new state). Further, detailed analysis of selected structural detail was made. Specifically, connecting rod to the main beam, which was designed optimal shape and thickness of the joints plate with a suitable radius of the firing to avoid plastification of the material in this area. Variant of the continuous beam without joints was prepared to. It has been observed, what is the effect of undermining on the stress in the construction of the bridge - was confronted with the effects on Gerber’s beam. To reduce stress in the construction of the bridge and compliance of ultimate state of applicability of the main beam has been designed bearing adjustment and after considering several options its implementation too. The economic comparison between the two variants was conducted. The assembling procedure was designed for both types of bridge structures. In the technical report we can read about due to the intention of building a new bridge and further we can find there other important technical information. In conclusion of the master’s thesis there has been recommended for the construction specific variant – from the perspective of an investor, and from the static aspect-view of the designer.
Stress and deformation analysis of railway bridge over the Odra River
Svoboda, Josef ; Profant, Tomáš (referee) ; Fuis, Vladimír (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with strain, stress and deformation analysis of the planar truss bridge construction. The aim is to determined the size of axial forces for statically determinate system and then making construction changes to reduce axial stresses in the individual beams in the structure. This structural modification becomes statically indeterminate structure. To solve this problem we consider different positions of the train at the bridge. The obtained values we can use to assess stress and deformation of the structure and the analytical results will be compared with the results obtained using the finite element method.
Study of Precision of the Stability Analysis
Sotulář, Jiří ; Pilgr, Milan (referee) ; Hron, Lukáš (advisor)
The thesis deals with the precision of the stability analysis of the pressed member. The loss of stability of the bukling is determinate by using several metods, which are compared each other. The thesis is partitioned into three parts that works together. The first part deals with the theory of analysis of the buckling stability. Here is described the gradual solution of analytical analysis for real beam and here is described the final compared for ideal, imperfekt and real beam too. It is also short solved buckling by using software. In the second part is compared by using computing systems and anylitical analysis for several basic buckling systems. The results of the compared are summarised in the final graphs and tables for each solved element and systems. In the third part are designed and static checked load-bearing element of steel storage hall. The buckling beams are checked by using findings from the previous analysis.
Steel Structure of Observation Tower
Klimeš, Pavel ; Šmak, Milan (referee) ; Hron, Lukáš (advisor)
The bachelor thesis concerns with the design and static analysis of the lookout steel construction, which has the height of 25 m and is situated in the Žabčice location. The technical report and drawings are included in the thesis as well. The aim of the thesis was to determine the lookout total load (including permanent, live and climate loads), its implementation in the computer software SCIA Engineer 2012.0 and to perform the stress analysis of selected rods, joints and anchorages by means of the manual calculation. The author of the thesis focused on the climatic load due to wind and ice accretion, which was determined with the use of two approaches according to standards ČSN EN 1991-1-4, ČSN EN 1993-3-1 a ČSN ISO 12494. Both the approaches were evaluated and for the less favorable one the static analysis was carried out.
Nonlinear Response of Steel Structures on Statical Loading
Nezbedová, Anna ; Vlk, Zbyněk (referee) ; Kala, Zdeněk (advisor)
This paper deals with the nonlinear response of steel structures to static loads. There are formulas derived for nonlinear analysis compressed, bended and tension members. By compressed elements, there is described the issue of buckling, by the bended, it is lateral-torsional buckling and tension elements are cables. As an example there is an calculation of a suspension two spans pedestrian steel bridge under load action of asymetrical loads. As another possible calculation process, the finite elements method is described.
Family house load-bearing structure composed of thin-walled steel members
Bulíček, Radek ; Melcher,, Jindřich (referee) ; Karmazínová, Marcela (advisor)
The aim of the bachelor thesis is to design and verify load bearing members of single-storey family house composed of thin-walled cold-formed elements. Parking space for cars of timber members is the part of the house, too. The family house is in rectangular plan with dimensions of 9.5 x 10.5 m. The roof of the house is hipped, on the side of the house with the parking place rafters are associated with garage rafters. The following elements were statically assessed: structural members of the house roof (rafters, collar tie, roof bracing), structural members of the ceiling (ceiling beams), reinforcing timber frame, external and internal load bearing walls (columns), load bearing elements of the parking space (rafters, purlins, columns). All assessments were performed according to currently valid standards. The calculation showed that the resistance and serviceability of all components are satisfied.
Reinforced concrete frame construction
Duda, Tomáš ; Strnad,, Jiří (referee) ; Koláček, Jan (advisor)
The bachelor’s thesis describes the design and assessment of the load-bearing part of the reinforced concrete structure of the department store – the frame. Respectively design and assessment of individual structural elements of the this frame at ultimate limit states. This is a rung frame R1, column S1, footings P1 and floor plate D1 above the first floor of this building.
Breathing-induced fatigue in thin-walled steel bridge construction
Škaloud, Miroslav ; Zörnerová, Marie ; Urushadze, Shota
Several years ago, the authors started an experimental investigation into the breathing phenomenon of the webs of thin-walled steel girders , which to date comprised more than two hundred tests. The cumulative damage behaviour generated by web breathing was analysed, the process of the initiation and propagation of fatigue cracks induced thereby was studied, and their impact on the failure mechanism and the fatigue limit state of the girders was determined. And, to conclude, a recommendation for design, taking account of the aforesaid, was established.
The fatigue and serviceability limit states of the webs of steel girders subjected to repeated loading
Škaloud, Miroslav ; Zörnerová, Marie
As a great part of steel structures are subjected to many times repeated loads (bridges, crane-supporting girders and the like), it is demonstrated, by means of the results of numerous experiments carried out by the authors in Prague, how the post-critical reserve of strength, the failure mechanism and the limit states of the webs of steel girders are affected by the cumulative damage process generated by the many times repeated character of loading, and how this phenomenon influences the design of such girders.
