Innovation workplace for the manufacture of laboratory furnaces
Nevřivý, Lukáš ; Jonáš, Radek (referee) ; Lidmila, Zdeněk (advisor)
The Bachelor thesis deals with the draft of optimal solution for production of laboratory furnaces produced by company LAC, s. r. o. that is based on the SWOT analysis. After accomplishment detailed analysis of current conditions at the workplace, was created the standardization for furnaces construction followed by new proposal containing two variants of the workplace organization. For the selected and more suitable variant is created 5S optimization and subsequently techno-economic rating that includes comparison of current and proposed state of production.
Optimization and use of standardized manufacturing routines for the Common Rail Flange production of high pressure pumps.
Doležal, Jan ; Prokop, Jaroslav (referee) ; Píška, Miroslav (advisor)
Objective of the Project of optimization and introduction of standardized procedures in flange production is to plan, determine and introduce optimal procedures based on time scan and MTM analysis; to determine standards, to establish standardized procedures for multi -machine operation and visual control and to train personnel according to new procedure. Project is expected to stabilize process, decrease work in process production, improve quality and increase volume of flange production to 2200 pieces per day for one production line. Furthermore to provide comparison of standardization influence on operations in flange production process, to perform quantitative analysis of several working instructions on visual control workplaces by statistics method (R&R study).
Analysis of customer processes in a particular organisation in order to achieve their effectiveness and automation
Sládek, Jaroslav ; Koliš, Karel (advisor) ; Procházka, David Anthony (referee)
Bachelor thesis has an imminent focus on detailed analysis of internal company processes of a particular customer oriented organisation resolved due their unfunctionality. For modification of monitored activities are used diverse standardized methods and models in order to find possibilities for their improvement. The theoretical part is dedicated to the discipline of Customer Relationship Management itself, its philosophy, and defines elementary terms related to the problematics of accepting the CRM strategy. Practical part presents basic information about the analyzed company, followed by a current situation analysis. Processes analysis includes subjective evaluation of monitored processes and its suggestions for their reworking. The final outcome of the work constists in presenting newly designed processes mapped in graphical diagrams. In addition, following check list of needed step-by-step development, in order to achieve desired changes, is presented by the end of the work.
Analysis of Print Media and its Future Outlook
Naumkina, Anna ; Cook, Gina (advisor) ; Štěrbová, Ludmila (referee)
The thesis is focused on analyzing the development of print media based on the example of selected fashion magazines. It is also focused on the international strategies that can be used by these magazines. The author examines the theoretical background of print media and international marketing strategies, followed by application of this knowledge on the analysis of the chosen magazines. The thesis consists of two main parts: theoretical and empirical. The theoretical part includes a description of print media history, the background of magazines, and international marketing communications, particularly with regard to magazines. The empirical part is focused on analysis of the selected magazines and their international strategies. This part concentrates on the printed and online versions of magazines, so it is easier to see how magazines are influenced by new technologies.
Cluster analysis as a tool for classification of objects
Budilová, Šárka ; Löster, Tomáš (advisor) ; Šulc, Zdeněk (referee)
Cluster analysis is a popular method of multivariate statistics. Based on mutual similarities between objects this method is able to classify and divide objects into several groups or clusters. The results of the clustering can be different by using different methods, measures of distance and procedures. The main aim of this thesis is to compare the results of several methods of cluster analysis with the known classification of classes from the original data file. In total, there are 15 data files, which were analyzed and each of them contained known information about the right allocation of objects in groups. The success of clustering of each method was calculated by comparing the known classification of classes and resulted clusters. In addition to the comparison of individual methods of cluster analysis was compared the impact of standardization and correlation to the success of each method. To reflect the distance betweeen the objects within each clusters, squared Euclidean distance was used. The results of this thesis point out that better success of clustering were achieved in the case of correlated variables in data file. The succes of clustering was higher about 2 percent points than in the case when correlated variables were deleted from data set. The methods divided 69,8 % objects before standardization and 70,8 % objects after standardization. The results also show a large importance of standardization in the case of Ward´s method. After standardization this method rank the most objects into correct classification classes and were more succesful, about nine percent points. In the case of correlated variables is the succes of the method 76,4 %. Standardization positively influences also centroid method and the method of farthest neighbour. Median method, nearest neighbour method and the method of average linkage achieve higher success of clustering in the case of original, nonstandardized variables (uneven variables).
Optimisation of the selected manufacturing process in the company Car manufacturing.
Šmídová, Pavla ; Svobodová, Hana (advisor) ; Rosa, Alexandr (referee)
This thesis deals with the optimisation of the selected manufacturing process. The aim is to analyse the effectiveness of the selected welding and assembly lines. Another objective is to do a detailed analysis for the line with the lowest efficiency in terms of cycle time and the Overall Equipment Effectiveness and calculate the lost production time due to availability, performance and defects. The third objective is to identify possible measures leading to higher utilization of manufacturing line and to propose a possible implementation. The theoretical part is based on the literature examining the term standardization, the norms of labour intensity, the cycle time, the Total Productive Maintenance and the calculation of the Overall Equipment Effectiveness. In the practical part the profile of Car manufacturing is being presented, the analysis of secondary data to calculate the Overall Equipment Effectiveness is being done and the appropriate manufacturing line for the innovative plan is being selected. Furthermore, the analysis of secondary data regarding the effectiveness of the using time of the manufacturing line is being done, the calculation of the Overall Equipment Effectiveness and the collection of primary data is being carried out. Subsequently, the problematic spots of the manufacturing line are being found and the possible measures leading to higher efficiency of manufacturing line are being proposed.
Marital status as a differentiating factor in demographic behavior
Nedomová, Radka ; Pechholdová, Markéta (advisor) ; Nývlt, Ondřej (referee)
Diploma thesis explores the diversity of demographic behavior depending on marital status and is aimed at summarizing the effect of marital status on demographic behavior as a whole. The first phase deals with the concepts of impact of marital status on demographic behavior, explains the theory of selection and causality and outlines the historical development of nuptiality and divorce by using basic indicators. The practical part is based on the results of Population and Housing Censuses during the period 1961-2011 and compares the changes in the structure of the Czech population by sex, age and marital status between censuses. Emphasis is placed on the period after 1990. Furthermore, in separate chapters is mapped out how marital status affects demographic processes of fertility, abortion, nuptiality and mortality. In the case of fertility exploration is emphasized increasing extramarital fertility, as more and more children are born outside marriage, especially to single mothers. By using age-specific and standardized rates are analyzed changes in the development of individual demographic processes between censuses for all categories of marital status. Standardization of mortality for the years 1961, 1970 and 1980 is made on the basis of the formation of shortened life tables and the subsequent modeling of mortality at higher ages. In connection of changing structure of the population by marital status, as the proportion of unmarried and divorced people is growing and the share of people living in a marriage is decreasing, is judged attitude of the Czech public toward marriage and family according to surveys results available.
