Influence of environmental conditions on the modulus of elasticity of concrete
Peřina, Tomáš ; Novosad, Petr (referee) ; Křížová, Klára (advisor)
Increasingly, the modulus of elasticity of concrete is at the forefront of interest. In the past, it has been neglected to some reason and not taken into due consideration. The theoretical part of the bachelor thesis is to study of factors influencing the static modulus of elasticity in compression. The practical part is focused on monitoring the modulus of elasticity of concrete, based on the different type of the environment stored test specimens. Concrete will be stored outdoor in the water and in the laboratory environment conditions. Designed concrete mixes will be primarily different with the used of type of admixtures but also with type of cement. The result values will be compared on the dependence of environmental conditions of the test specimens.
Study of effect of the introduced parameters to aerate of aerated concrete
Urbánek, Libor ; Voves, Jiří (referee) ; Hubáček, Adam (advisor)
Bachelor thesis is focused on aerated concrete, their parameters of composition and properties. Further, the thesis focuses on the study of the effect of the introduced aeration on fresh concrete on its properties in both fresh and hardened state. Emphasis is placed on the assessment of the aeration rate in fresh concrete, as compared to the various parameters of hardened concrete, especially the content of hardened concrete and the durability of concrete. The study is complemented by a description of air pore distribution tests in fresh and hardened concrete, a description of individual aeration additives and a study of the influence of aeration additives on the durability of concrete.
Influence of composition and fabric of volcanic rocks on their technological properties
Krutilová, Kateřina
Because of a very variable geological composition of the Czech Republic, there is a various scale of all genetic types of rocks that are used for the production of crushed stone. The most often used group of rocks are effusive magmatic rocks, which represent about 34 % of crushed stone marketed (Starý et al. 2010). These rocks are used for all kinds of construction purposes including roads. The experimental material of crushed stone used in this thesis was sampled from 40 active quarries in the Czech Republic. The studied volcanic rocks originated from Neoproterozoic and Paleozoic complexes of Barrandien, Carboniferous and Permian of Krkonose Piedmont Basin, Carboniferous and Permian of Intrasudetic basin, area of ordovician Železné Hory, from the main volcanic center of Bohemian Massif in the north-west Bohemia (České středohoří Mts. and Doupov Mts.), Neovolcanic area of Czech Cretaceous basin and area of Neovolcanic East and West Sudeten. Petrographic study was carried out in a form of standard petrographic analysis of thin sections and chemical analysis, which helped inclusion of rocks to a classified systems. The whole suite of volcanic rocks was separated to five petrographic-technologic subgroups defined as: (1) rhyolites / porphyres, (2) phonolites, (3) basalts s.l., (4) spilites and (5)...

The experimental verification of modulus of elasticity of fine grained composites based on silicate binders
Hoduláková, Michaela ; Kucharczyková, Barbara (referee) ; Kocáb, Dalibor (advisor)
Since their inception, building materials are constantly improving. New ways to explore and improve the material's properties are constantly investigated (especially to improve the mechanical and deformation characteristics of the materials). This thesis is focused on identifying and comparing values of the modulus of elasticity of fine-grained composites. These features are compared with respect to water cement ratio, ageing and compressive strength of the investigated materials. Afterwards, the values of the modulus of elasticity are studied in the relation to the tested materials.
Usage of recycled material in stone mastic asphalts
Slavíček, Michal ; Komenda, Radek (referee) ; Hýzl, Petr (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the designs of asphalt mixtures for the wearing asphalt courses, specifically for the SMA 11S with an added 30 % and 50 % RAP (reclaimed asphalt pavement), this material was reclaimed from the wearing asphalt course type SMA. The thesis is divided into two parts. The first part is theoretical and it deals with the recycling of asphalt roads and adding RAP to the new asphalt mixures for the roads. The second part is practical. It deals with the design itself. Two types of SMA were designed, first with a 30 % RAP and second with a 50 % RAP. In those mixtures functional tests of asphalt mixtures were made. The results were compared to the asphalt mixture with 0 % of RAP and with the mixture with 30 % of RAP reclaimed from the wearing, binder and base course together. The results are summed up in the conclusion.
Assessment of the Aggregate in Historical Plasters
Rezek, P. ; Martinec, Petr
This article deals with the analysis of the aggregates of historical plasters. In the paper there is described the assessment methodology of the aggregates of historical plasters. The assessment of the aggregates is carried out with the example of a set of original and modern-day aggregates taken in the prelature and convent of the Želiv Monastery. Composition of fine aggregates of historical plasters was compared to the composition of the aggregates from resources of nearby watercourses. As well as it was assessed the geological character of nearby vicinity of the Monastery. For the analysis of character of the plaster fine aggregates it is applied the optical microscopy of the plaster thin sections, grain size analysis, mineralogical and petrographic analysis of the aggregates. The presented results document the differences in the origin of the aggregate used in plasters.
Recycled material in Stone mastic asphalts
Motl, Vojtěch ; Coufalíková, Iva (referee) ; Hýzl, Petr (advisor)
The Bachelor’s thesis deals with an issue of adding a Reclaimed asphalt pavement (RAP) into surface courses, especially SMA 11S. The thesis is divided into two parts – theoretical and practical. The theoretical part defines the term RAP and explains how to gain RAP and how to use it for a hot recycling at asphalt plants. The practical part deals with the design of asphalt mixture containing 30 % of RAP, the preparation of test specimens, the description of executed tests and the results of those tests. The results are compared with SMA 11S without RAP.
