The relationship between trade mark protection and copyright protection under Czech law
Jurášová, Monika ; Dobřichovský, Tomáš (advisor) ; Císařová, Zuzana (referee)
Resume A relationship between trademark protection and copyright protection under the czech law Both trademarks and copyrights are imovable articles and are parts of intellectual property. A Trademark is stated in the Trademark Code n. 441/2003 as a mark which is used to identify products or services produced by one person (an individual or a legal entity) and distinguish them from products and services produced by another one so that consumers are able to recognize the origin of the products or services. According to the law the mark is a name, word, phrase, logo, symbol, color, design, image, or a combination of these elements, it must be created in graphic form perceptible objectively. The mark must be distinctive, original and it must have a relationship with a product or service. A mark complying with all the above mentioned conditions can be registered at the particular Trademark office and subsequently obtain a trademark certification and protection. A Copyright is protected under the Copyright Law n. 121/2000 as a creative and artistic work created by author's intellectual activity and expressed in a form objectively perceptible. The author has exclusive rights to his work. The rights are divided into exclusive personal and exclusive economy rights. In particular he has a right to be presented as...

Enantioselective separation systems in capillary electrophoresis
Svobodová, Jana ; Gaš, Bohuslav (advisor) ; Foret, František (referee) ; Kenndler, Ernst (referee)
Chiral separation systems in capillary electrophoresis are in the scope of interest of many research groups all over the world. Therefore, the need to develop reliable theoretical models, which would help to explain phenomena connected with chiral separations or optimization of separation conditions, is obvious. In this thesis several mathematical models and approaches that can fulfill these requirements are presented. First part of the thesis deals with the determination of rate constants of interconversion of enantiomers by means of dynamic capillary electrophoresis. We focused on mixtures of chiral selectors and formulated a mathematical model, which enables to determine rate constants of interconversion in such systems. Mixtures of chiral selectors are very popular in separation practice due to their enhanced enantioselectivity. The theoretical model established in the thesis is able to explain the separation mechanisms of multi-chiral selector systems and to propose and verify possible ways of their optimization. In addition, the separation mechanism in systems with simultaneous cyclodextrin and borate complexation was revealed. Finally we present the complete mathematical model of electromigration in systems with complexation agents. The model is implemented into our simulation tool Simul 5...

Delictual liability of natural persons within environmental protection
Žejšková, Pavlína ; Stejskal, Vojtěch (advisor) ; Sobotka, Michal (referee)
Delictual liability of natural persons in the environmental protection I have chosen the subject delictual liability of natural persons in environmental protection for topic of my Master's degree thesis. The first reason why I have opted for this subject is due to the fact the environment is present everywhere and is a resource that needs to be protected as it is necessary to the human kind to survive. The law is one of the most powerful tools that can help protecting the environment. The second reason is that it does allow me to link several other law areas of interest which are administrative, criminal and environmental. The thesis contains three main parts. The first one is mainly dedicated to the legal liability while focusing on the responsibility in the environmental law. Also are mentioned the fundamental principles of the delictual liability in the Constitution. The second part relate to the criminal liability of natural persons in the environmental protection, starting from the basics of the international and European Union law. Further to this I have reviewed the past history in the Czech Republic, with supporting dated examples, showing how effectively the environment has been preserved by the criminal law. I have continued with a review of the current situation of how the environment is being...

Analysis of Men's and Sport Performance in 100 Meter Dash
Lazarovová, Jana ; Kaplan, Aleš (advisor) ; Petr, Miroslav (referee)
Title: Analysis ofmen's and women's sport peďormance in 100 meter dash. Name: Jana Lazarovova Aim: The aim of the thesis was to analyse and compare the structure of men's and women's sport peďormance in 100 meter dash at the Czech Champioships in Olomouc 2003, in Plzen 2004 and in Kladno 2005. We compared the resultant time of particular finalists, their intervals, speed, the number, length and frequency of their steps. The collected data should show us the weak points ofthe competitors. Methods: In the methodology we analyse the peďormance through six factors which we use in videorecording. (videorecording- 25 pictures I second- 6 factors). Values of the factors determine speed skills of sprinters (reaction time, acceleration, maximum speed, speed endurance). At the analysis of the peďormance we find out the portion of each factor influencing runner's speed (length and frequency of steps, etc.) 100 meter dash is evaluated on 1O meter sections, which enables to gain detailed information about analysed factors: 1. Running time at any section 2. Time ofevery 1Ometer section 3. Speed in each section (mls) 4. The number ofsteps in each section ( n) 5. Length ofsteps in each section ( m) 6. Frequency ofsteps in each section ( nls) Results: First ofall, we analysed men's and women's peďormance of 100...
