Using the final accounts as a basis for financial analysis

The aim of this diploma work is the examination of using the public financial statements as a basis for extern financial analysis. The work consists of three parts. The first part concerns the final accounts set up according to the Czech accounting rules. It describes the legal regulation of this domain, basic requirements on public information, individual elements of final accounts and further obligations associated with it. Second part of the work is aimed at the financial analysis and gives an overview of information sources and basic techniques of financial analysis. It is mainly focused on the horizontal and vertical analysis of financial statements and analysis of ratio indicators. In the third part, obtained theoretical knowledge in the field of financial analysis is used for examination of financial health of particular company DOPRAVA ZARUBA M&K, s.r.o..

The Purpose of this thesis is to briefly describe the company but also the whole branch of soft drinks production. The Dissertation investigate financial structure and analyzes the company through particular instruments of financial analysis such as absolute and ratio indexes, Du Pont decomposition, Altman index, Model IN and Economic value added. Also comparison with the biggest and most dangerous competitors on the market is the other essential part. Output of this thesis presents the evaluation of the financial health and condition of the company, its market position and last but not least some little recommendations, if needed.

Diploma work is engaged in financial analysis of Stavby silnic a železnic, a.s. company. The aim is to pass judgment on company's present financial situation and its progress from year 2001. It is focused on important facts concerning financial health. It warns of possible threats and try to define some recommendations to achieve stability and prosperity. It utilizes theoretical knowledge of financial analysis like horizontal and vertical analysis of financial statements, rules of financing, ratio indicators, pyramidal system of indicators, working capital analysis, basic economic inequality, EVA method and bankrupt models. Company is also compared with a number of transport building companies.

In theoretical part of this bachelor work, there are determined and described basic importace of financial analysis, users of financial analysis, information sources for financial analysis' needs and techniques and methods of financial analysis. Practical part takes use of these theoretical knowledge to realize financial analysis of AC Sparta Praha fotbal, a.s., whereas the main importace was put on processing of analysis of chosen ratio indicators and the SWOT analysis. Conclusion contains results evaluation from practical part and suggestions and recommendation for financial recovery.

The main purpose of my work is to assess the financial health (the determination of the strengths and weaknesses of the enterprise in the economic field) of SOME Jindřichův Hradec, Ltd. To assess the financial condition of company serves financial analysis, that provides information relevant to the financial and investment decisions. The basic source of information for the processing of financial analysis is an annual report, which contains the necessary statements, especially the balance sheet, income statement. Evaluation of financial health is based mainly on the absolute analysis of these financial statements and ratio analysis of indicators. Importance of financial analysis, therefore, is to build high-quality documentation for the decision on the company.

This bachelor's thesis is focused on the processing of financial analysis of football club AC Sparta Praha fotbal, a.s. The theoretical part of the work deals with the subject and the development of financial analysis, users of financial analysis, sources, methods and techniques used in the processing of financial analysis, and definition of objectives and areas of financial analysis. Practical part of the work put the theoretical knowledge into practice, in the specific case of football club AC Sparta Prague. The specificity of the environment in which the sports clubs in the Czech Republic do business is reflected in the calculated ratio indicators. Selected indicators are compared with other entities located in the same industry. The aim of this work is to determine through an external financial analysis, how to manage a football club, to assess its financial situation and propose solutions.
