Some Syntactic Phenomena Related to Computer-Aided Translation from German into Czech

The thesis looks at computer-aided translation (CAT), which, along with machine translation (MT), stands for the use of information technology in translation, but, unlike MT, is not of primary concern for Translation Studies research. Based on the current state of research, this thesis aims to address the syntax of CAT text output. The theoretical part first describes the working principles of CAT tools and presents them in the context of general translation studies, then defines information structure and endophoric reference as the syntactic phenomena to be analysed. Finally it provides a methodological model for the empirical part. Using a set of texts translated with CAT tools and a set of texts translated without them, the empirical part seeks to check whether translators using CAT tools tend to shift from the syntagmatic approach to text to a more paradigmatic one. To this end, an analysis is carried out to determine the interference rate in the information structure of the target texts as well as the rate of subjectively motivated shifts in distant endophoric reference. Repair of the turbine housing

This diploma thesis deals with the repair of a steam backpressure single-stage turbine. This thesis is assigned to a specific Spilling turbine case. A revisional report of this turbine with repair or exchange suggestions of demaged turbine parts is processed. In addition, a simulation of the contact pressure is carried out on the split plane of the housing. Structural modifications are designed and simulated to increase the parting plane's tightness. Further, the calculation of the tightening torque of the split plane is performed and a control thermodynamic and strength calculation of the labyrinth seals is performed.

This paper addresses the issue of revision of electrical equipment according to ČSN 33 1500: 1990 and ČSN 33 2000-6. The aim of this work is to prepare a revision of the connection of electrical machines in the laboratory. When carrying out inspections serious deficiencies were found with respect to electrical safety. They were designed to take remedial steps. Currently electrical equipment is not capable of safe operation.

The issue of the revision corrected wiring residential building

Bachelor’s thesis deals with the verification of electrical installations in residential buildings. The task of the thesis is to get acquainted with the requirements of the regulations with a focus on Czech technical standard CSN 33 2000-6, CSN 33 1500 and follow-up. Specifically, the information gathered is used to the implementation of the review installations in renovated apartment building. The aim is to apply the theoretical knowledge and information for the practical verification of the electrical installation.

Former German Colonies and the Policy of Appeasement, 1933-1939

This thesis is focused on the policy of appeasement during the 1930's. It aims to describe one shade of a policy appeasement and its position in British and German foreign conceptions This thesis further deals with the rise and fall of the German colonial Empire, the British reaction to this process and also with the fate of the German in Africa colonies after the First World War. It is concentrated solely on German African colonies. The thesis works with hypothesis of the same methods and different aims of British and German attitudes. Whilst the British aim was the peace in the world, the Nazi aim was world war. Despite these differences, both sides adopted a similar approach to negotiation processes. The thesis shows the impractibility of British efforts and critically judges the British proposals to appease Germany on account of the third countries. The system of remedial measures

Summary: In my master's thesis I focus on remedial measures and appellate proceedings. Special attention is given to explanation of rules and principles of the appellation, cassation and revision correction system and the differences between them. This theoretical definition of the mentioned systems is then followed by their practical application in the Czech civil procedure, including its development in the last ten years and mentioning possible amendments in the future. At the end of the paper there is presented the German legal regulation of remedial measures. The master's thesis is, apart of the introduction and conclusion, composed of five chapters, each of them dealing with remedial measures and correction systems from a different point of view. Chapter one is introductory and outlines the questions of appellate proceedings and legal remedies, it also defines basic terminology that is then used in other chapters. Chapter two introduces various correction systems. The chapter is subdivided into four parts. Part one describes the appellation system and its principles. It explains the differences between the system of full appellation the system of inchoate appellation in detail. Second part focuses on the cassation system and its rules. This bachelor thesis is based around creating Information system for auditors which will be able to create, to template and to archive audit reports. This system will also be able to search through database for all documents related to specific audit report. Furthermore it will provide reverse control of all calculations done in the report and check validity of licences owned by cooperating workers.

Retrofit Steam Condensing Turbine

The aim of this master thesis is the retrofit of a condensing steam turbine. The thesis obtains a revision of the steam turbine, the reconstruction of steam turbine blades and the basic calculation of bolt torques of the turbine split plane. The master thesis is assigned to a specific retrofit of the steam turbine Lang. In the introductory part the thesis is focused on the turbine description and the basic functions of selected turbine components. The following part deals with the revision and the proposal of repairs for all components and the recommendation of additional modernizations of specific measuring equipments. The analysis of anchoring the stator and rotor blading and their reconstruction is discussed in the next part. In the last part the thesis focuses on the sealing of the turbine split plane and the calculation of the various bolt torques closely linked to the sealing.
