Analysis of the City Management of Planá nad Lužnicí

The Bachelor thesis deals with the analysis of managing the town of Planá nad Lužnice in years 2008 -- 2012. The objective of this work is to evaluate the management of the town in the stated period and to find out the cause of changes of the particular budget items. Evaluation of the investment town activities forms a part of the work. The work is divided into two parts, the theoretical and methodological one and the following practical part. The first part deals with the theoretical matters concerning the basic concepts in the sphere of the municipality and its budget such as budgetary process, structure and obviously budget incomes and expenses. It is necessary to involve the theoretical definition of the municipality management analysis and its methods. The second practical part is focussed on the use of the theoretical knowledge in practice. It deals with the basic information on the town of Planá nad Lužnice, with the analysis of the approved, adjusted and real budgets in the course of years 2008 -- 2012 and with the analysis of incomes and expenses. Furthermore, it deals with calculations of the basic indicators of the financial analysis on the basis of which there is generally evaluated the town management. The end of the work describes analysis of the selected investment action of the town of Planá nad Lužnice.

The disputes among burghers of Lhenice in 18. century

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to show the disputes among burghers of Lhenice during the 18th century. The historical development of this small town in the Early Modern Period and the form of the local administration in 18th century is briefly outlined in order to know the context. The analysis of one of the local extant books became the basis of this bachelor thesis. This book contains different reconciliations among neighbours of Lhenice during 1733-1775 as well.

Everyday life in the town and in the village

The thesis is a comparison of free time activities in the town and in the village. Partial aspects of free time activities in the village and in the town are compared. For the purpose of this thesis, a method of visual sociology is used. The method which is used in this thesis is called photo elicitation. The thesis provides reflection of free time activities via the photos of two participants. The part of the thesis is also an assessment of this method in this thesis.

Historical and geographical aspects of population development in the town of Strakonice

This thesis examines historical and geographical aspects of the long-term population development in the city of Strakonice. The monitored town has evolved very specifically throughout it's history. The entire population development in the city of Strakonice is compared to other selected towns in this thesis. The research is mainly related to the period from 19th century to the present. The study is composed of an introduction explaining its principle objectives and initial hypothesis. The next chapter depicts basic characteristics of the geographical and historical development of Strakonice and other units. The related analytical part of thesis deals with searching for the causes of differences in selected towns and their comparison in defined stages. The synthetic part summarizes the most significant aspects and specific characteristics of population development in selected towns and makes a conclusion to indicate possible future situation. The final section summarizes the results and benefits of work. The whole thesis is accompanied by graphs and map outputs.

The History of Physical Education and Sport in Pelhřimov

Bachelor work looks into history of personal exercise and sport in Pelhřimov from the establishment of the first sport club until now. The work is dividend into five parts. The first part is devoted to Pelhřimov and its brief history. The second part deals with activity of sport clubs and groups from 1918. The third part describes period from 1918 to 1945. The fourth part deals with term after the Second World War until 1989. The fouth concluding part maps period of time from 1989 until now. Historical sources were used from chronicles, antologies, periodicals and mainly from dialogues with contemporaries and founders of sport clubs and groups in Pelhřimov.

Concept of City Citizen Atlas on the Example of České Budějovice

The objective of this bachelor?s thesis is to propose a concept of a citizen atlas of the city of České Budějovice and determine, to what extent it is possible to create a comprehensive atlas. It involves a search for available relevant and similar data relating to the territory of the given city and an attempt at using it to create a specimen atlas, which would divide the population on the city territory by its structure and other demographic indicators. Such atlas would represent a kind of storage of information about the territory and show deployment of selected phenomena across space.

Historical and geographical aspects of population development in Černovice

This thesis deals with historical and geographical aspects of long-term population development in the city of Černovice. Research is mainly related to the period of 19th and 20th century. During this period, each settlement went through a development which was influenced by many aspects (natural, social, cultural, economic, political). For the industrial period population size of cities can be considered as fully adequate indicator for monitoring the status of the comprehensive development and position. The The main aim, which is based on a detailed analysis of population development, is to clarify the roots of its present condition, size and position in the Czech settlement system. This study also searches for determinants, causalities and the specifics of this development in the wider regional context. The final section summarizes the results and benefits of work. The whole study also includes lists of used literature and sources, tables, graphs, maps and other attachments.

The Importance of Municipal Budgets for Public Budgets

This diploma thesis deals with the importance of municipal budgets for public budgets. The essential part of the public budgets is formed by municipal budgets therefore the condition and balance of state budget is largely influenced by balance of these budgets. From the general point of view, municipal budgets also influence the possibility of attaining the economic and political goals of state. The aim of this thesis is to show on the basis of financial indicators' analysis the changes in municipalities' budgets over time, to interpret the development of their financial situation and to create a projection of their future evolution. For these purposes, the municipalities will be divided according to their size category.
