Estimating Dam Break Inundation for the Šance Dam
Pekárek, Karel ; Hodák,, Jiří (referee) ; Jandora, Jan (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor´s thesis is to determine the extent of territory endangered by dam break flood wave using mathematic modelling of water flowing in the river and inundation under Sance dam. Output result of the model is a map of the extent territory with highlighted flood area.
Proposal to revitalize the banks of the flooded Hulín sandstones - section 2
Čuda, Ondřej ; Pelikán,, Petr (referee) ; Šlezingr, Miloslav (advisor)
The subject of this bachelor’s thesis is to prevent the retreat of the bank line by the proposal of suitable biotechnical stabilization of the banks of the flooded Hulín sandstones on the specified section. Shore abrasion is mainly caused by the starting wind, which results in the formation of waves that subsequently spread the banks. The result of the thesis is the processing of biotechnical stabilization proposals, which are intended to reduce or slow down the retreat of the bank lines.
Storm water management in urban areas.
Vaculík, Tomáš ; Tauš,, Miroslav (referee) ; Hlavínek, Petr (advisor)
The diploma thesis is focused on Storm water management in urban areas. The first task for processing thesis was to arrange meeting with MČ Brno - Bohunice Ing. Antonín Crha, who has provided necessary information about the targeted location the and the reservoir for accumulation of rainwater collected. The practical part of the thesis is to capture the rainwater drainage in the existing rainwater sewerage system using the newly built pumping station and then pumping into the existing, unused reservoir. Accumulated water in the reservoir is planned to be used for the needs of the city, gardeners and other customers. The first part of the diploma thesis describes the management of refined water in the Czech Republic, Denmark and Germany. The first part also provides description of measures and technologies for the management of rainwater. Finally, there is description of the pumping station and borehole objects and the program for calculating the rainfall from the urbanized area. In the practical part of the diploma thesis the selected variants are described, rewarded and evaluated. The diploma thesis deals with two variants, that are guided along the same route, with the difference of the construction of the drilled well in the second variant. Both variants are handled by pumping. The option of the gravity inflow was rejected because of the large countersink of rainwater sewerage.
Water Management Analysis of Reservoir Strorage Capacity
Al-Ali, Ahmad ; Paseka, Stanislav (referee) ; Marton, Daniel (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis contains a storage volume analysis of a selected water reservoir. The theoretical part of the thesis is focused on determing storage reservoir capacity and outflow of reservoir. The thesis’s goal is to perform a detail analysis of changes in the storage capacity with relation to time series of the mean annual flows’ statistical analysis.
Types and principles of water reservoirs
Cakl, Vojtěch ; Fialová, Simona (referee) ; Pochylý, František (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with decription of the water reservoirs, in particular for the purposes of the irrigation. In the first part of the thesis is overview of the functions and distribution by purpose and location to the consumption. Following is the proposal of the storage tank volume by purpose. In next part there is a description of the construction, shape and equipment of the water reservoir. Subsenquently there is expalained the principle on simple arithmetical example. The last part of the bachelor thesis focussing of multifunctional water reservoirs and their functions in relation to the landscape. It contains some examples and proper scheme of multifunctional water reservoir.
Methane emissions from temperate freshwater reservoirs
Bašta, Jan ; Frouzová, Jaroslava (advisor) ; Rulík, Martin (referee)
Methane (CH4) emissions from temperate freshwater reservoirs have only been evaluated for the last several decades. Freshwater ecosystems (including water reservoirs) release crucial quantities of this important greenhouse gas. Ebullition that releases methane into the atmosphere from bubbles originating from sediment is important source of methane. Regardless of the importance of these emissions, a very limited number of scientific research papers monitoring this flux into the atmosphere are available. Estimated values of methane emissions from freshwater temperate reservoirs vary considerably. There are many different methods for monitoring methane emissions. It seems that the freshwater reservoir stimulates methane formation in increasing scales. The size of the sum of methane emitted from freshwater reservoirs is also difficult to say.
Proposal to revitalize the banks of the flooded Hulín sand pit
Skřížala, Lukáš ; Pelikán,, Petr (referee) ; Šlezingr, Miloslav (advisor)
The master´s thesis deals with the assessment of the state of the shore territory on the Brno reservoir, in the Osada area and subsequently the proposal for shore stabilization. As part of a personal visit to the area of interest, photographic documentation, geodetic focus and subsequent assessment of the current state of the abraded shores were made. Using the geodetic focus and data of water heights on the reservoir provided by the Povodí Moravy, s.p. the most numerous in the reservoir was evaluated in 2007-2017, the coastline retreat and the proposed shore stabilization were determined. There was suggested totaly eight measures were proposed against the further retreat of the shore line, which were incorporated into schemes and visualizations.
A Water Management Analysis of the Rychtářov Reservoir Protection Function
Fliega, Adam ; Sobek, Martin (referee) ; Menšík, Pavel (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is water management analysis of the protective function of the Ryhtářov water reservoir on the Velká Haná. Thesis contains hydrological model of the basin wich is compile in HEC-HMS program. According to this model are derive flood waves PV 100, PV 1000 a PV 10 000. Within of the protective function are designed outlets and spillway. The protective function is compile in HEC-HMS program, where calculations of transformation of derived flood waves are performed. The solution provides two different variants. These variants are compared at the work.
Analysis of the earth dam monitoring of the water structure Karolinka
Koudelková, Eva ; Novotná, Jitka (referee) ; Pařílková, Jana (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the analysis of the monitoring of the Karolinka water reservoir earth dam. For the reason of seepage detected on the downstream face of the dam, the water reservoir was operated in a limited regime practically from its beginning. One of the most significant interventions aimed at reducing them was the installation of a sealing wall realized in 2013. Since 2011, the earth dam has been pilot-monitored by probes of the electrical impedance spectrometry method. The thesis deals with the processing of the data obtained by this method and with the comparison of the determined electrical conductivity of the dam soil with the data measured on the earth dam (temperature, water level in the reservoir, seepage) before and after installation of the sealing wall.
