Causal Circumstantial Adverbials in the contemporary French: description, position, function. Comparison with Czech.
BEŠŤÁKOVÁ, Kristina
The diploma thesis is dealing with a description, emplacement and function of the causal adverbial complement in the contemporary French and Czech language. This paper is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. In the theoretical part, the topic of causality is elucidated and the notion of causal adverbial complement in the French and Czech linguistic terminology is defined. Further, it works with syntactic and semantic features of causal adverbial complement, observes the possible valence understanding of this sentence member, and deals with the question of its extra-predicative and intra-predicative emplacement, as well. Furthermore, the attention is drawn to the position of causal adverbial complement in a relationship to the functional sentence perspective. The practical part is dedicated to corpus analysis of the chosen causal utterances, which implement the causal adverbial complements. The main focus is given to their emplacement in the French and Czech sentence.
Measurement of Economic Effectiveness of IS/ICT
Čelikovský, Filip ; Maryška, Miloš (advisor) ; Faina, Michal (referee)
The main goal of this thesis is to measure the economic effectiveness of the specific real IS/ICT based on real data, which were provide by the owner of the system. Next goal is to describe how to measure economic effectiveness of IS/ICT, especially based on costs and effects analysis. Complex information about economic effectiveness of IS/ICT issue and also costs and effects analysis of enterprise informatics are made up of knowledge gained by studying professional publications aimed to this and relative topics. Necessary data to measure the economic effectiveness of the chosen IS/ICT was gained by its owner. To reach the main goal, author chose a few commonly used financial indicators and proposed two other metrics. Based on calculations of these indicators and metrics, author estimated that the rated system is economically effective. Author forwarded the results of measurement to the owner of rated system, along with the comment of author. The contribution of this thesis is that shows the universal procedure of economic effectiveness measurement of IS/ITC in clear and complex structure. The thesis can be divided into two logical parts -- the theoretical one and practical one. In the theoretical part, author describes in standalone chapter possibilities in dividing of costs and its identification, severity of this act and also possible ways of the cost evidence. The next chapter speaks about effects of IS/ICT, where author also mention possibilities in dividing of effects, ways of their identification and measurement. This capture also put the accent especially on the hardness of their assignment. The last theoretical chapter imaginarily joins the antecedent chapters because describes a few financial indicators and metrics, suitable for measurement of economic effectiveness of IC/ICT. In that case, this capture speaks about usage data about costs and effects in measurement of economic effectiveness. One whole chapter is devoted to practical part of this thesis, in which author used all defined indicators and metrics from theoretical part and measured the economic effectiveness based on real data. Thus, author used the knowledge from theoretical part in the practical one. The part of measurement is also a discussion of the results.
Dopad Implikované Volatility na FX Carry Trade
Varga, Lukáš ; Witzany, Jiří (advisor) ; Baran, Jaroslav (referee)
This thesis aims to back-test the ability of implied volatility carry trade strategies to outperform the carry trade strategies in the FX markets. Recent research has shown that the profitability of the strategies is partly attributable to the market mispricings of the forward volatility agreements and a tendency of the forward implied volatility to overestimate the future spot implied volatility. This thesis uses a similar approach to construct portfolios containing 10 developed as well as 9 emerging market currencies. Our approach is based on the assumption that Uncovered Interest rate Parity (UIP), Forward Unbiasedness Hypothesis (FUH) and Forward Volatility Unbiasedness Hypothesis (FVUH) do not hold and therefore providing investors with several opportunities to construct trading strategies taking advantage of these market mispricings. In this thesis, we show that the foreign exchange carry trade strategy composed of the specific developed and emerging country's currencies can be outperformed by portfolio consisting of the implied volatility carry trade strategies in the FX market over the analysed period. The portfolios are adjusted to the riskiness which is accounted for by the VIX and VXY-G7 index for developed and VIX and VXY-EM index for emerging economies. The strong performance of the strategies outlined in this thesis can be of significant value to FX traders and portfolio managers.

Ecological requirements of the critically endangered species \kur{Sedum villosum}
PRŮŠOVÁ, Monika
Hairy stonecrop (Sedum villosum) belongs to the group of plants that are endangered by real risk of extinction. If appropriate measures are not soon undertaken, it may disappear from the territory of the Czech republic. Preparation of an action plan should be a prerequisite for undertaking such measures. The aim of this diploma thesis was to verify ecological demands of this critically endangered species. I tested the effects of soil acidity and shading on seed germination and growth of hairy stonecrop plants in experimental conditions.
The cause and effect of children and young people delinquency on the Cesky Krumlov region
KRÁKOVÁ, Zdeňka
The goal of my work is to establisch the cause and effect of children and young people delinquency on the Cesky Krumlov region. I suggested two hypothesis. I investigated the children and young people being under the curator{\crq}s supervision working in the town office of Cesky Krumlov. Here, there are two women employees. Each has a case load of a 160 children from the last year. I studied a third of them. It means 100 cases. As a method of verifying the hypothesis, I selected the method of document analysis and of case history analysis.
Effect of Apparent Wall Slip on Normal-Stress Viscometric Data
Wein, Ondřej
In the present lecture, we attempt for the first time to analyze the AWS effect on normal-stress data for the parallel-plates rotational instrument, using 2D numerical simulations. The related problem for the viscosity data is recalled from the previous reports. For the narrow-gap configurations, h/R <<1, the simple formulas of the one-gradient approximation give an aceptable agreement of the predicted torque M axial thrust F with the correct 2D theory and, hence, they seem to be acceptable in interpreting the primary rheometical data.
Economic implication of euro introduction (Slovakia and other V4 countries)
Laurincová, Silvia ; Abrhám, Josef (advisor) ; Jeníček, Vladimír (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to analyse the effects of euro adoption on the economy. The main focus is to describe situation in Slovakia as a new member state of eurozone and to examine stages of preparation for euro adoption of other former V4 members -- Czech Republic, Hungary and Poland. The economy of all countries is strongly influenced by world financial crisis, effects of which are definitely being considered and reflected in this depiction.
Analysis of the benefits of the information system
Štědronský, Michal ; Basl, Josef (advisor) ; Laš, Jan (referee)
The diploma thesis deals with the analysis of the benefits of the information system of an important food manufacturer. The main aim is to analyse the benefits of the information system -- something which has yet to happen. The analysis of the information system should provide a recommendation for the company, which will include an evaluation of the strong and weak aspects of the system. Highlighting the strong and weak aspects should help the company perfect the system, provide a competitive advantage, increased profits and an improved company image. The secondary aim is to inform the reader about the system, understand its functionality, describe the metrics used for analysis and the choice of methods employed. The aims of the theoretical section will be achieved through analysis of internal documentation and electronic sources. The analysis of the benefits will be carried out using "historical" data obtained from the reporting system, database or internal documentation. The use of this work lies principally in its highlighting of the positive and negative effects of the system. The work can also help students or company employees understand the functionality of the real system and to broaden their current knowledge.
