Selected Topics From the Educational Theme a Human and his World; explored employing the Methods and Techniques of Drama in Education

1 Abstract: This thesis is entitled "Selected topics from the educational theme A human and his world; explored employing the methods and techniques of Drama In Education." The first section explores the theory. It not only deals with Drama In Education; its content, principles, form, methods, and planning; but also what a teacher of drama should be; the characteristics of children in the early years of education; the assessment of drama; and of course the theme - A human and his world. The practical section describes the elements of a range of methods and contains individual lesson script. Each lesson is underpinned by a particular method. This section goes on to deal with assigned goals; their verification in practice; and finally, conclusions drawn from the implementation of the planned lessons. In designed lessons I used selected methods and techniques of structured drama and preparatoried games and exercises. I found out that very different topics from this educational theme A Human and his world can be worked up by methods and techniques of drama education because I suggested different topics from this educational theme and I verified them in practice.

Present State of Drama in Education in Aš

This Master's thesis focuses on educational institutions in the city of Aš. It isn't concerned just with elementary schools but covers the overall educational system in this town. The main aim is to find out which schools incorporate drama in education into their educational programs and to what extent. This work further analyzes which educational goals are selected by the teachers. The theoretical part analyses general educational programs for different school types and the role of drama in education in these documents. Use of drama in children's folklore group

This thesis deals with use of drama in a children folklore group. The main aim is using of drama in education of children and creation of production. Another aim is to find out what advantages drama brings to children folklore group. The thesis also deals with a structure of a heterogeneous group of children (children of different ages) and with a role of a preschool child in such group. In the theoretical part there are mentioned basic terms such as folk culture, folklore, children folklore and folklorism. Methods and aims of drama are also introduced. It deals with the connection between drama and children folklore group. In the experimental part there is described a project which studies possibilities when using drama in a preparation of production in particular children folklore group. Possibilities of using drama for production preparation were shown. The outcomes of the project enable us to say, that drama is useful during creation of production and even in production itself. It brings nature to children manners in production. Different ages of children have been beneficial - younger children were taught by the older ones. RWCT program at primary school

This thesis focuses on the issue of using the RWCT programme as well as components of Drama in Education in Czech language and literature classes in primary schools, especially when working with artistic texts. The theoretical part depicts the new concept of education, key competencies, goals in primary education and the importance of reading literacy. It presents information about the programmes of Reading and Writing for Critical Thinking (RWCT) and Drama in Education along with their goals, contents and methods and working with artistic texts. It also defines their identical and different components. The practical part examines how to work with one text in different ways and observes how individual goals in school classes change when using different methods of RWCT and Drama in Education. It provides specific suggestions for school classes when working with texts, their processing and evaluating with regard to the methods and education goals used. Role Playing within the English Lessons at the Primary School

The aim of this diploma work is to show possibilities of a role play in teaching english, using different methods of drama in education, which leads pupils to deeper understanding and starting the work and its influence of pupil's experience and pupil's taking part in solving problems with the situation and remembering cognitive and emotional benefits of a role play afterwards to motivate pupils for next learning. This diploma work describes aims and methods of nowdays ways of teaching foreign languages, explains new trends in teaching young learners (primary school). It describes their psychological development in age 6 to 11 and try to explain how it has an influence in teaching languages at primary schools. It causes the main differences between teaching adults and young learners. Teaching languages through methods of drama in education brings different approach to teaching. It develops teaching in two levels - in cognitive knowledge and in emotional experiences.

The thesis deals with the work of Mgr. Jiřina Lhotská and her contribution to the drama in education in the South Bohemia County. The process of drama in education teaching and its basic elements are described in the theoretical part of the thesis. In the second part focuses on the character of Jiřina Lhotská, her career and contribution to the drama in education teaching. Furthermore, the practical part also contains interviews with individuals who profoundly influenced Jiřina Lhotská the pedagogue. The interviews with her colleagues and students with whom she has cooperated during various stages of her career (up until now) is also included therein. The lists of Jiřina Lhotská's creative activities, selected scripts of certain acts, as well as some photographs form part of multiple appendices.
The use of Methods in Drama Education at Nursery School

This Bachelor thesis on the theme "Use of methods of drama in education in kindergartens" analyses what methods of drama in education are used in kindergartens. Its aim is to determine whether these methods are interesting and stimulating for children. The thesis is divided into the theoretical part and the practical part. The theoretical part explains the concept of drama in education and describes the development of drama in education in the world and in the Czech Republic. It also focuses on its goals, objectives, methods, and techniques. It mentions the teacher's personality, principles of influencing children, and the benefit of drama in education, especially in the area of stimulating. The practical part presents the results of the qualitative survey conducted by observing, to which attitude scales are added. The set for the research consists of preschool-age children; observation and attitude scales took place in the premises of kindergartens.

This thesis deals with the possibilities of using music, drama and fine arts in religious education for children of younger school age. The introduction describes the developmental-psychological characteristics of younger school age, as well as the development of children's religiosity. The main part is respectively devoted to music, drama and fine art as methods for inducing children's interest in the Christian faith as a way to deepen their religious feelings by opening religious experience and symbols. Within these themes there is also mentioned the importance of Psalms and icons.
Superlearnig methods in Classes of Foreign Languages

This diploma thesis is focused on the analysis of different alternative methods of teaching foreign languages and the possibilities and limitations of their usage in traditional school teaching. The theoretical part is focused on the definition of the terms alternative method and superlearning method and then it concentrates on an analysis of two methods which belong to the group of superlearning methods. Because there are many such methods, and they are very similar to each other, I decided to choose methods which are the biggest examples in the sub-category of superlearning. Those are Suggestopedia, as a method which was the first to be called as superlearning and many of other methods are its modification and Drama methods which, the past years or decades have been gaining more popularity. The practical part is focused on the usage of the analyzed methods or their parts during the traditional teaching of foreign languages. I am designing alternative possibilities of presentation, revision and evaluation of learning material.
