Legislature of the waste disposal and utilization of biodegradable materials
Pešl, Milan ; Pěček, Jan (referee) ; Beňo, Zdeněk (advisor)
The aim of this work is to give information about the issue of legislation of disposal and reuse of biodegradable waste. Legislation in the field of bio-waste in the Czech Republic and the EU is grouped into various laws and guidelines which describe particular conditions of the dumping of wastes, their subsequent processing and reuse. In this work, the definition of BDW, its composition and the current state of dealing with this type of waste in the EU and the Czech Republic is mentioned. Different methods of processing biodegradable waste, which include incineration, composting and anaerobic digestion, their advantages and disadvantages are described in this work. There are also introduced examples of BDW in the EU and the Czech Republic there.
Composting in the Czech Republic
Glombová, Pavla ; Horák, Marek (referee) ; Hluštík, Petr (advisor)
The aim of bachelor thesis is a description of the issue related to biological disposing of degradable waste by composting. It is concerned by the most important valid laws in this field, by technologies of composting and by the facilities used to dispose these waste – by composting facilities. In the practical part there is a compiled database of composting facilities in the Czech Republic, sorted by the regions. Their basic data are included (operator, address, website, contact information, capacity, used technology, amount of compost production, its price and utilization, accepted waste, used machinery and equipment, the year of commissioning, intensification).
Composting of urban green areas in urban compost facility in Březnice
BARTUNĚK, David
This thesis deals with the use of municipal biowaste, which processes compost facility in the city Březnice. In this work are dealt optimal conditions for composting, composting grass biomass then composting technology and at the end concept of composting in the city Březnice with a total processing technology and equipment. The aim of my thesis was to outline the composting and propose optimal solutions for the construction of a composting facility. Part of this work is also an experiment with ion exchange capacity, which proves the importance of following the correct composting process for the production of quality compost. The contribution of this work rests primarily as such its integrity and organization. It is possible to find there the right parameters for creating the right conditions of the composting process, including the elements necessary for actual registration of compost.
Management of Municipal Waste Management in Jindřichův Hradec
Růžička, Jan ; Syrovátka, Oldřich (advisor) ; Hiršová, Miloslava (referee)
This thesis is focused on the analysis of the current system of municipal waste management in Jindřichův Hradec. The aim was to evaluate the development of waste in a further evaluate the development of revenue and expenditure of city waste management. Another objective was to determine whether residents of housing estate Hvězdárna and Vajgar in Jindřichův Hradec sort waste and whether the class also biological waste. Also investigated were the reasons why the inhabitants of settlements not sorted waste and organic waste. Furthermore, we were determined according to sorting waste and by age, gender and educational attainment of respondents. This survey was conducted by personal interview in the streets of housing estate Hvězdárna and Vajgar in Jindřichův Hradec. The results of this survey were fundamental for the subsequent third objective, which was to propose appropriate measures that will lead to more efficient collection of sorted waste, and thereby reduce the amount of waste deposited in landfills.
Fractionation of biodegradable municipal waste to produce biogas and solid biofuels production
VELEK, Jindřich
The theses deals with the use of biologically degradable waste which needs to be processed and utilized in maximum amount. It is highly desirable to apply new and well-known technologies to treat such waste efficiently and not to dispose it in landfills unreasonably, as is the case at present. The paper describes landfilling, composting, anearobic digestion, mechanical and biological treatment of waste as well as various stages of the lability concerning fractions of organic compounds. The stages of the lability concerning fractions of organic compounds are in particular determining the best utilization of such biologically degradable waste in each technology. It is advisable in this case to apply the STEAM EXPOLOSTION or IFBB technology for treatment of biologically degradable waste. These technologies were used in the proposal for the utility model which specifies how to produce biogas or solid biofuel from waste.
Utilization of construction waste particularly recycled bricks and concrete during biodegradable waste composting
NOVÁČKOVÁ, Pavlína
It is known that certain inert substances significantly improve the process of aerobic degradation of organic mass during composting. The cause is not completely clear yet, but it improves catalytic oxidation or hydrolysis process rather than aeration at the surface of inert substance. Generally, it is not clear, whether this benefit effect occurs during synthesis process of "humification", which should happen after decay of organic mass in compost.
Production and quality of compost from the perspective of agrochemist and of processor of organic waste
BROUČKOVÁ, Vlasta
In the thesis explains the conceptual difference between primary and compost organic matter, compost and defined its organic matter and compost understanding the distinction in terms of farmers and processors in terms of organic waste. Then the development of composting and research results in recent years. The result of work revealed that the quality compost with plenty of humus substances and high ion exchange capacity can be produced while respecting the principles of real composting, but with a long fermentation time.
Current technologies and landfilling of waste and its prospects in the Czech Republic
VELEK, Jindřich
This bachelor thesis deals with waste management in the Czech Republic, especially landfilling. Different types of landfills, their technical aspects and methods of depositing waste are described. The thesis also describes the main legislation concerning waste management in the Czech Republic and tries to point out material and energetic use of waste before landfilling. Recycling is considered to be important because it decreases the amount of waste stored in landfills. Composting and anaerobic digestion are the other methods of disposal. The thesis also describes the possibilities of usage of the landfill gasses with the help of cogeneration units. The thesis refers to current level of waste landfilling in the Czech Republic and predicts the future development.
Comparison for small mechanization used in composting
TŮMA, Jan
The aim is to create a comprehensive overview of mechanization used for composting and select appropriate criteria based on analysis for comparing different types of machines. By course of each operation of composting process were selected suitable means of mechanization for composting line. Thereinafter thesis defines the mechanization by load. In the thesis is realised research availability of small mechanization on the present market and based on analysis of the data was proposed criteria for comparing different types of machines. Final part of thesis includes simple example of project compilation of composting line for small compost-processing plant. The results of this thesis can assist during selection of small mechanization for small compost-processing plants, for example for municipal needs or primary sector (agriculture and forestry).
The Problematic of Biodegradable Waste in the Regions of the Czech Republic
SMRČINA, Tomáš
The goal of this thesis is to describe the issue of biodegradable waste, including its legislative act and the possibilities of other usage of biodegradable waste as unburdening products. The main aim of this thesis is to complete the logistic model for the delivery transportation of agricultural biodegradable waste. The concept of compost for the city Milevsko and its catchment area is made according to acquired figures from calculations. In the concept of compost was applied the figures from the acquired sources and the data related to the amount of the production of biodegradable waste in Milevsko during the year 2010. In relation to the acquired results was accomplished the economical evaluation of costs and revenues for the compost and its rate of return in the next years. For the city Milevsko is this topic current because this issue is not resolved here at all. The acquired findings from the economical result of the compost concept is summarized in the conclusion of the thesis.
