Integrated telecommunication environment
Tomeček, Jan ; Škorpil, Vladislav (referee) ; Polívka, Michal (advisor)
The thesis described the proposal for a wireless network problems. There are recorded and compared the characteristics of different wireless technologies. The possibility of voice communication securing is outlined and solutions implemented in the form of ZRTP protocol. The requirements for quality of service are discussed and the solutions to this issue are proposed. Other chapters are devoted to the actual design of specific equipment, including antennas and advance resource. The whole network is practically implemented in the mountainous countryside of eastern Wallachia. In conclusion, this work is network mate in terms of QoS (quality of service) and tested in terms of prioritization of voice communication.
Methods for Quality of Service measurement in Wi-Fi networks
Bachan, Jiří ; Kolka, Zdeněk (referee) ; Prokopec, Jan (advisor)
This work deals with the wireless Wi-Fi networks, that used unlicenced ISM frequency band 2,4 GHz. These wireless networks are very extended in these days and used mainly for the Internet connection. With the multimedia data transfers expanding it’s necessary to ensure the specific quality of service QoS in wireless networks mainly for applications, which are sensitive to delay or packets lost. The main aim of this work is to describe Wi-Fi networks based on IEEE 802.11b/g/n standards, description of QoS techniques according to IEEE 802.11e standard and description of parameters describing QoS for the VoIP services. The practical part is divided on a two parts. The problems of measuring the radio link quality and the creation of simple program for quality of wireless connection analysis are solved in the first part. The second part incluledes measuring of the lost packets number in Wi-Fi network with the commercial application AirMagnet Laptop Wireless LAN Analyzer and measuring of the signal noise influence with the help of spectrum analyzer and vector signal generator.
Minimizing the effect of interference on wireless network
Doležal, Jan ; Kyselák, Martin (referee) ; Škorpil, Vladislav (advisor)
This thesis is concerned the technology with technologies of transfer through wireless devices. It is about possibilities of optimization of transfer in wireless net, especially of the reduction of interference influence. The first part is about theory and the standards development of wireless technology. There are methods and principles used in wireless technologies. The second part is a practical measuring and testing of an internal wireless net, with the emphasis being on the source of interference influence. Measuring was focused on interference between access points and was not about meteorological influence. It continues with theory and testing of interference of the microwave oven in our wireless net. Then, it is a practical demonstration of interference in an external environment. There are practical examples of interference between different providers’ nets on the same area and solutions to prevent or to cancel this interference. In next part of work the wireless net is parsed and described in a given territory. Here is described the way how to precede the reciprocal interference and eventually how this mutual disturbance suppress. Consequently, our net is optimized for customer growth and for today’s options of newer and more powerful components for wireless transfer. Finally there are two laboratory tasks. The first one is about practical measuring and testing of wireless net’s parameters and the second one is about simulation of wireless networks in the Opnet program.
Building and using smaller computer networks
Ďurica, Matej ; Pinkas, Otakar (advisor) ; Šmejkal, Ivo (referee)
In these days, the widespread creation of home networks, due to the continuous development of computer technology for personal use. These networks are formed, for example, with the aim of facilitating access to information, ease of communication between people and control of various devices in the home. Their development is influenced by trends in information communication technologies in the market. This bachelor thesis is fully focused on the practical implementation of the proposal for extension of the original smaller home network using the new network elements (wireless routers, switches, network printers, NAS server, device for live monitoring of security cameras) and rendering certain network services (DLNA, print server, VPN, iTunes server, live monitoring of security cameras). A given network was tested with respect to performance network and its response, coverage of Wi-Fi signal, testing remote access, power consumption, read and writes speed of the NAS server.
Building and use of small computer networks
Nepomucký, Pavel ; Pinkas, Otakar (advisor) ; Šmejkal, Ivo (referee)
The thesis deals with design of small home network. The main goal is to describe extending home network by new network components, which allow users in specific areas to use newly created wireless connection. The thesis is split into two parts. The first one is given for explanation of network components and their comunication. Second one describes practical demonstration of extending home network by a new component providing wireless conection. The thesis decribes a selection and analysis of network components including setting up, coverage and communication between each access point.
Building and use of small computer networks
Zitta, Vladimír ; Pinkas, Otakar (advisor) ; Šmejkal, Ivo (referee)
Bachelor thesis deals with the design, construction and testing of a home computer network. The first part is theoretical and is devoted to network elements, protocols and standards that will occur in the home network. The second part is practical and deals with the main aim of the text, designing extended home network and it's implementation. Described are selected network elements, configuration, network services and subsequent testing of the network.
Draft of computer network model for Faculty of Science of University of South Bohemia
KOMŮRKA, Daniel
The purpose of this bachelor thesis is to design a computer network's scheme of the Faculty of Science for the upcoming centralization of services of the University of South Bohemia. The current state of the computer network will be mapped. The bachelor thesis will focus on logic topology. Part of the bachelor thesis is to determine suitable WLAN AP's and servers' location. Financial expenses of the proposed solution will be determined.
Design and security of small wireless network
Žižka, Ladislav ; Pinkas, Otakar (advisor) ; Šmejkal, Ivo (referee)
This thesis deals with design and security of small wireless network. Main goal of the thesis is home network design and choice of optimal solution of wireless security. The thesis has four parts. The first part describes computer networks and network components in theory. Next part deals with network design, choosing of network components and setting of them. It also describes some functionalities of alternative firmware DD-WRT. The third part presents common wireless security and network analyzing software. In the last part there are proved some types of attacks against Wi-Fi networks with Aircrack-ng suite.
Wardriving
Belák, Peter ; Pavlíček, Luboš (advisor) ; Beneš, Jiří (referee)
The Bachelor Thesis introduces the term Wardriving. It describes in detail the necessary hardware, including the parameters that it needs to meet for this work. Further, it describes in detail the software, its setting and necessary features. The work presents the elementary particulars which have to be complied with for the best results of the survey. Part of this work is a survey of selected areas of settlement Řepy 1, analysis of the data and their comparison.
Design wireless network in the company including radio survey
Kopecký, Matěj ; Pavlíček, Luboš (advisor) ; Šolc, Jiří (referee)
My bachelor thesis focuses on IT infrastructure of business environment, followed by a proposal of solution (deployment of transmitters, connection to existing infrastructure, budget), which is complemented by real deployment of typologically similar or same solution, including radio surveys before and after the deployment. Thesis is divided into several parts. Introductory chapters deal with theoretical concepts, definitions and standards that are important to become familiar with the topic. Theoretical part is followed by practical part that contains detailed information on above sections. Goal of my thesis is to propose the most effective solution for specific organization. In this paper I'll try to avoid all known usual problems and errors. I'd like to achieve this thanks to my long experience with wifi as I've for several years run a wireless network with more than 600 users.
