The development of this process has been influenced by internal factors at both sides, as well as by external circumstances. Since 2011, due to the Middle East crisis, Turkey has begun to struggle with a growing number of arriving migrants with a major influx between 2013 and 2015. Australská imigrační politika jako inspirace pro Evropskou unii v době migrační krize?
Šimák, Radim ; Ševčíková, Michaela (advisor) ; Zeman, Martin (referee)
This thesis compares different immigration policies of countries in the European Union on selected sample of countries: Germany, Belgium, Sweden, Italy, Czech Republic and Australia. The theoretical part of the thesis focuses on the basic concepts related to migration, such as the theory and methodology of migration. The theoretical part also presents the common immigration, asylum and visa policy of the European Union and its historical development. In conclusion, the thesis argues that the European Union may, in some aspects of the migration crisis, be inspired by the Australian approach to migration. The aim was to evaluate different approaches and consequent impacts. The impact on economics indicators suggests that using the Australian model would achieve better employment and a lesser burden on public budgets. Based on these findings, the thesis then presents recommendations and proposals for solution.

The Effect of the European Migrant Crisis on the Securitization of the Schengen Area
Libosková, Natálie ; Novotná, Markéta (advisor) ; Tamchynová, Kristýna (referee)
The purpose of this thesis is to analyse the securitization of the Schengen Arean in connection with the migrant crisis in years 2015/2015. It analyses security discourse of two representatives of the European Commission, Jean-Claude Juncker and Dimitris Avramopoulos, regarding certain measures related to borders (both internal and external) which were introduced during the migrant crisis. The discourse analysis is used to evaluate whether the given measures are signs of securitization. The observed measures are: strenghtening Frontex, reintroducing internal borders, construction of border fences and creating the system ETIAS. It became obvious that during the crisis there has been an increase in emphasising of security connected with migration.
