Development of e-government in the Czech Republic
Jirsák, Filip ; Basl, Josef (advisor) ; Pour, Jan (referee)
This dissertation describes and evaluates the gradual development of e-government in the Czech Republic, especially the part that affects communication and interaction between public administration and private sector (citizens and firms). The introduction describes why an e-government was perceived as a separate discipline and how does it affect the development of IT and the Internet. The next section deals with the basic division of the government approach to an e-government -- whether the government pays attention only to legislation and standardization, and operation of IT services is left to the private sector, or whether the government itself guarantees the operation of some basic IT services. The largest part is devoted to the gradual development of e-government in the Czech Republic, its critical milestones (such as new laws) and starts (or ends) of important information systems. It also describes the successes and the failures of these milestones and their impact on both public administration and private sector. The final section describes the currently known vision of e-government in the Czech Republic (actually the absence of such a vision). In conclusion, it summarizes findings from previous chapters and it describes both the positive and the negative aspects of existing projects. Finally, it proposes how to mimic the successful ones and how to avoid the unsuccessful ones.

In the practical part, I would like to introduce how these two services are used and I would tried to show in detail the whole process for filling tax returns. I would like to give a clear summary of the two named services with their advantages and disadvantages. Primarily, the work will based on own experiences, then I contact other users of electronic communications (mainly through questionnaires) and the next source of information will be for me the local tax office. The work should be written in simple and understandable manner, so that it could help those tax entities, who until now have no information for this issue.

Phenomenon of Netholism in Pupils of the Second Stage of Primary Schools in Příbram Area
JEČMENOVÁ, Michaela
My thesis deals with netholism, i.e. the Internet addiction. In my opinion, this is an up-to-date issue, often underestimated by children´s parents. The results of my research may serve as an information material to all professions working in contact with children. Important symptoms present in the Internet addicts, as well as the principles of the Internet safety and the parents´ supervision over children's activities on the Internet are mentioned. There is also the existence of considerable health risks related to computers. A large chapter is related to communication on the Internet. I have stated two main objectives of my diploma thesis. Objective 1: To survey activities of children on the Internet sites in dependence on their age. Objective 2: To determine the awareness of children about the risks arising from an excessive Internet use. (The excessive use of the Internet means a period longer than 3 hours a day.) To achieve the intended objectives and the hypotheses testing, an anonymous questionnaire, the method of quantitative research was used. The subject of the investigation was the issue of the use of the Internet by children attending the second stage of primary schools. There was diversity in the concept of questions. I believe I have managed to meet the both chosen objectives of my diploma thesis. The stated hypotheses have been disproved by the questionnaire survey. Hypothesis H1: Children attending the second stage of primary school spend more than half of their time communicating via social networking sites on the Internet, this has not been not confirmed. The survey has shown that almost always only 23% of the total 175 respondents communicate with friends or unknown persons via social networking sites. Hypothesis H2: Children attending the second stage of primary school are not sufficiently informed about the risks arising from the use of the Internet, this has not been confirmed. Only 12% of children think there are no risks arising from the use of the Internet. As a contribution of my diploma thesis in the health and social field may be regarded the recognition of "netholism" as another form of addiction.

V této diplomové práci bych chtěl zhodnotit stav eGovernmentu v České republice, popsat jeho silné a slabé stránky a srovnat ČR s ostatními zeměmi evropské unie. Nejdříve se věnuji pojmu eGovernment jako takovému a jaké přináši jeho zavedení výhody, ale i problémy. Následně popisuji stav informační společnosti v České republice a v poslední kapitole se srovnávám Českou republiku s ostatními státy evropské unie.
Meaningless citizens identifier in the Czech Republic
Horáček, Radek ; Chlapek, Dušan (advisor) ; Vašáková, Lenka (referee)
Cílem této diplomové práce je zanalyzovat současný stav identifikace obyvatel v České republice a poté navrhnout novou strukturu bezvýznamového identifikátoru obyvatel. Byly vypracovány také odhady finančních nákladů a časový harmonogram zavádění nového identifikátoru obyvatel v České republice, díky kterému čtenář získá představu o časové náročnosti implementace navrhovaného řešení. Tato práce může sloužit jako důležitý zdroj informací při návrhu identifikátoru obyvatel v České republice.
