Technological, economical and ecological aspects of mist lubrication
Tlapák, Michal ; Sedlák, Josef (referee) ; Píška, Miroslav (advisor)
The assessment of MQL technology application in reaming process was elaborated in this diploma work. The evaluation of energy intensity was carried out in terms of specific cutting force during reaming of austenitic stainless steel work piece by using HSS reamers. The comparison of economic costs in the case of the application of MQL technology in production was made. Confrontation of oil mist removal principles. At the conclusion the evaluation of ecological benefits for the environment and the positive influence on the working environment cleanness was defined.
Optimization of grinding characteristics when grinding cemented carbides by diamond wheels
Mangl, Petr ; Dvořák, Jaromír (referee) ; Humár, Anton (advisor)
This master‘s thesis is presenting the way of the optimization of grinding characteristics when grinding cemented carbides by diamond wheels. There is described the theory of grinding, including grinding wheels and basic characteristics of cemented carbides in the theoretical part. There are defined experimental metering accomplished on the CNC grinding machine Walter Helitronic Power Mini in the practical part. There were tested eight grinding wheels. The grinding rate, surface roughness Ra, theoretic guaranteed storage period of grinding wheel in number of cuts, theoretical capacity of machined material, achievement of grinding machine and behaviour of the wheels when grinding ware evaluated from the reached results.

The aim of this thesis is a complex processing of obtained technical findings in the area of cutting materials, especially the evaluation and comparison of work possibilities recommended by prime world manufacturers for effective usage and application of coated and uncoated cemented carbides. Characteristics of cemented carbides in terms of production, marking method, physical and mechanical properties and application. Comparison of cemented carbides in the range of production of the most significant world tool and cutting material producers. Cutting efficiency evaluation of the tool. Recommended areas and operating conditions for effective usage of cemented carbides and their technical economic evaluation.
Optimization of indexable inserts use in production line
Kocúrek, Ondřej ; Novák, Zdeněk (referee) ; Humár, Anton (advisor)
This thesis deals with a summary of different types and characteristics of coatings used for increasing the lifetime of cemented carbide tools. Besides, the thesis includes solving the issue regarding edge chipping during machining interrupted pipe ends at the pipe line, selecting a new type of indexable inserts and indexable inserts holders to increase line productivity and decrease tool costs in the related operation.
A Cutting Tool for Drilling of Constructional Materials
Stavinoha, Petr ; Zouhar, Jan (referee) ; Píška, Miroslav (advisor)
This thesis deals with the analysis of drilling technology of building materials and design of drilling tools. The thesis analyzes a given cutting materials and usability their applications for drilling of building materials. Further, the thesis deals with the creation of 3D model of drilling tool in SolidWorks environment and preparation of CNC program for cutting centre SP 208 SY which is controlled by Sinumerik system.
Cemented carbides and theirs effective use
Baran, Jan ; Prokop, Jaroslav (referee) ; Humár, Anton (advisor)
The diploma work deals with comparison of sintered carbides in product assortment of Pramet Tools a.s., Sandvik-Coromant and Ceratizit companies in term of their cutting speed, feed and depth of cut for the turning operation. The comparison of cutting parameters is made for P, M, K, N, S and H groups. For better comparison there are always two sintered carbides from each of the manufacturers mentioned for each of the groups P, M, K. They are mentioned for groups N, S and H only if they are suggested by the manufacturer.
Milling Tools Made from Cemented Carbide
Havran, Petr ; Jaroš, Aleš (referee) ; Kalivoda, Milan (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on the development of cutting tools made of cemented carbides. The first part describes the theory of milling, which is necessary to determine the milling parameters. The next section contains an independent division of milling cemented carbide tools, their uses, advantages and disadvantages. The last part is the selection of tools from the catalogs of the world's businesses and overall assessment.
Analysis of the coated carbide cutting inserts
Zdráhala, Radim ; Kolář, Ladislav (referee) ; Fiala, Zdeněk (advisor)
Bachelor thesis is focused on the analysis of the cutting and specific cutting forces during face milling of coated and uncoated exchangeable cutting inserts (VBD). The theoretical part deals with the characteristic of the milling process, coating of cemented carbides and last but not least deals with methods for measuring cutting forces. The experiment is described in the experimental part that also includes evaluation of load forces coated and uncoated exchangeable cutting inserts during changes in cutting conditions. Finally is performed the comparison of values coated and uncoated VBD for flank wears and load cells.
Production of cemented carbide tools using technology of multiaxial pressing
Mach, Martin ; Jaroš, Aleš (referee) ; Kolář, Ladislav (advisor)
This thesis is focused on cutting tools made of cemented carbides. In this thesis are characte-rized the development of cemented carbides, distribution of cemented carbides, materials from which the cemented carbide are produced, the production proces of coated and uncoated cemented carbides. Target of this paper is to explain the production process inserts by using multiaxial pressing in company Pramet Tools Ltd.
Hardness measurement of metal materials
Trčka, Tomáš ; Kandus, Bohumil (referee) ; Podaný, Kamil (advisor)
The hardness is the mechanical property of each metal material that affects his behaviour. There are many methods of measurement. Each method has its advantages, shortcomings and possibilities of use. The best known tests are according to Brinell, Vickers and Rockwell. The newer methods with portable hardness tester are UCI, TIV and the dynamic method by Leeb. The tests are carried out by mechanical pressure load using the impact body (indenter) of the harder material than the test material. The experimental measurement was executed on the three types of cutting inserts with different nominal hardness made from cemented carbides using the Vickers method with the load of 10 kp and 30 kp. The highest value of hardness was measured on the cutting insert SMG02 - 1988 HV10.
