Influence of the mixing plant manufacturing temperatures on the properties of aggregates
Brtníková, Tereza ; Stehlík, Dušan (referee) ; Hýzl, Petr (advisor)
The bachelor thesis describes the production process of aggregate and production process of asphalt mixing in batch asphalt mixing plant. There is also mentioned the test procedure of endurance against grind and against freezing and defrosting. The tests were did on 3 types of rocks, which have been burdened by temperature on 110 °C, 200 °C and 300 °C. Then were the results compared.
Device for Honey Bee Activity Measurement
Fučík, Jan ; Šimíček, Tomáš (referee) ; Novák, Marek (advisor)
This thesis engages in characteristic honey bee's behaviour first. Subsequently it engages in project of device for honey bee activity measurement. It reasons about non-electric quantities which can honey bee's behaviour represent. Description of components which can be use for measure these quantities follows. Description is intent on possible accuracy and energy consumption of each component. Appropriate method is selected subsequnetly. In realitionship with method are selected sensors and projected controlling circuit. There is a summary of parameters of device in resume. There is also design of the parts which do not work as good as is ideal in resume.
Thermal Model of Induction Machine and its Practical Verification
Toman, Marek
This article deals with making of thermal models of electric machines using so-called thermal network. The first part of this article describes reasons why thermal models of electric machine should be used. In the second part the heat transfer basics and thermal network basics are described. The last part is focused on simulation of a thermal network of a specific induction machine and its verification of correct functionality by measurements.
Numerical method of solar corona electron temperature measurement
Dospiva, Jindřich ; Žák, Libor (referee) ; Druckmüller, Miloslav (advisor)
This thesis is about the calculation of a spectral radiance for the K-corona, the continuius spectral part which arise from the Thomson scattering of a solar radiance of free electrons in the corona. Also the Doppler effect is described as it smooth down a solar spectrum (with many absorption lines) to a smoother spectrum of the K-corona. It’s also possible to determine the temperature of free electrons from spectral shape, from which proceeds the method of temperature measurement. NASA intends to use this method on the probe ONSET. Also, temperature definition and its significance are discussed.
Impact of temperature and drought on gliadins content in two varieties of wheat
Seidlová, Kateřina ; Brázda, Václav (referee) ; Hrstka, Miroslav (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis focuses on the effect of high temperature and drought on protein content of gliadin fraction on two varieties of wheat. Chosen varieties were Hyfi and Julie, cultivated at 26, 29, 32, 35 and 38 °C during flowering in watering controlled conditions. The condition for ‘wet’ samples was at least 70 % soil moisture and for ‘dry’ samples less than 30 % soil moisture. After harvesting, the seeds were milled into flour from which the gliadins were extracted with 2-chlorethanol. A-PAGE method was used for gliadin separation, quantification was carried out through computer densitometry. A significant genotype effect was discovered. Whilst temperature ranging from 26-38 °C with simultaneous drought stress had no significant effect on gliadin content of Hyfi variation, gliadin content of Julie variation shown obvious maximum at 32 °C. Therefore, Hyfi variation shown better resistance to heat stress than Julie variation. Both variations had higher gliadin content under drought stress than under good watering conditions.
Influence of heating water temperature on efficiency of heating system
Hliboký, Samuel ; Poláčik, Ján (referee) ; Pospíšil, Jiří (advisor)
The content of this bachelor thesis is to describe ways of increasing efficiency of heating in a family house. Thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part is dealing with principle of function of gas boilers and ways of decreasing the temperature of water in heating system. The practical part of thesis includes economic-technical evaluation of replacement of standard gas boiler by condensing boiler, based on return of investment.
Rychlost vývoje u lýkožrouta severského, \kur{Ips duplicatus} (Sahlberg)
HODANOVÁ, Jana
The thesis deals with characterization of temperature dependence of developmental rate of northern bark beetle (Ips duplicatus) and comparison to the previously published data about the spruce bark beetle (Ips typographus).
Indukce autogenie biologicky aktivními látkami u druhu \kur{Culex quinquefasciatus Say}
ŠEFČÍK, David
The main aim of this study was determinate which factors could induce autogeny and compare differences between autogenous and anautogenous populations of mosquitoes. All experiments were done with \kur{Culex quinquefasciatus Say}. Effects on temperature and food on the inductuion of autogeny were studied. Autogenous females usually don´t have to receive a blood during the first ovarian cycle. Our results confirmed that autogeny can be induced by temperature and different food high nutritive level.
Changes of microclimate in a sedge-grass marsh within the last 40 years
Dušek, Jiří ; Stellner, Stanislav ; Hudecová, S.
The average, maximum and minimum air temperatures have been gradually increasing since 1977 to 2017. The air temperature rise was not the same in all periods of the year. We found different increases for individual months. The daily mean air temperature rose significantly in the growing period (April-August). The precipitation characteristics have been changing in the sedge-grass marsh too. The observed trends differ among months in sign as well as in the magnitude, and they are consistent with the air temperature changes. We found that extreme precipitation seems to occur significantly more frequently in recent years compared to the period before 2000. Awareness of these changes is important for possible positive human intervention when a desirable wetland ekosystem function is threatened.\n
Effect of temperature on life cycle of zygomycetes
Matoušková, Barbora ; Kubátová, Alena (advisor) ; Nováková, Alena (referee)
This thesis is aiming on zygomycetes, their importance, their current position in the Fungi kingdom and above all their ecological demands. The paper summarizes the influence of temperature on their life cycle (i.e. primarily on the growth, reproduction and production of metabolites). It focuses mainly on psychrophilic and thermophilic species and describes the mechanisms of adaptation to unfavorable living conditions. To investigate the influence of temperature, zygomycetes are exceptionally suitable model organisms, e.g. in the order Mucorales we can find relatives growing in diametrically different environments. Among the mechanisms of extreme temperature adaptation for zygomycetes are in particular trehalose production, a change in the degree of saturation of membrane phospholipids and the production of membrane stabilizing agents - sterols, glycolipids and sugar alcohols. Key words: temperature, growth, reproduction, life cycle, habitat, extremophiles, Mucoromycotina, Mortierellomycotina
