Comparison of HPLC a GC-MS method for pesticide determination in soil
Chalbia Václavíková, Alena ; Kočárek, Martin (advisor) ; Havlík, Jaroslav (referee)
Physical and chemical properties of pesticides may vary significantly. Pesticides can be acidic, neutral or alkaline. Some compounds containing phosphorus, other sulfur, nitrogen or halogens. These atoms can be important for the detection of pesticides. Some of the compounds are volatile, others on the contrary not evaporate, which is also one of the important properties for chromatography. The diversity of pesticides actually makes it impossible to create a universal method, which is very impractical in terms of quality and time determination. Because that pesticides are one of the most chemicals in most countries. In the food and drinking water are limits on pesticides in order to avoid negative impact on public health. For residues in soil or surface water limits are set. (Lutz et al., 2006) The objective of this thesis is to evaluate the possibility of using two types of chromatographs with different detectors for the analysis of pesticide. Pendimethalin which was chosen for this work, will be analyzed usinga liquid chromatograph with UV detektor and gas chromatography with mass detector. Both this method will be compared as well two extraction methods (Soxhlet extraction and shaking), and two extraction agents (methanol and acetonitrile). Another point of the work is to provethe hypothesis that, for the determination of pendimethalin in soil is by gas chromatography using a mass spectrometer in comparison with the high performance liquid chromatography time and more expensive, but will achieve a higher yield and a lower detection limit of the pesticide.

Fish population on the river Dyje at NP Podyjí
Štrunc, David ; Kalous, Lukáš (advisor) ; Kuříková, Pavlína (referee)
This thesis is focused on changes of fish populations in the river Dyje located at the national park Podyjí. These changes are caused mostly due to presence of two large dams (Znojemská and Vranovská dam) between which w the study locality is situated. There are also other factors affecting ichtyofauna composition as piscivorous predators, non-native species or restocking of particular target species. First information about the fish populations appeared in year 1921. In that years, the locality contained species, that are not present at the river site at the moment. Examples given: sturgeon (Acipenser ruthenus) and danube salmon (Hucho hucho). These species extincions were associated with interupted fish migration between locality and Donau river basin. On the other hand, new fish pecies (that are not-native to Czech Republic and were not observed before 1921) started to appear during following years. From the former fish population of type Barbus-Chondrostoma the type changed to Salmo-Thymallus. Most of this change was caused by regular restocking of the salmonids. Since 1993 there is evidence on new presence of tolerant fish species that do not necesarilly need cold, flowing water. There is high probability, that this appearance is caused by slowing down the river stream and also the heating of the water, that takes place in the dam.

The theme of love in Toni Morrison's Sula and Beloved
Brzobohatá, Michaela ; Robbins, David Lee (referee) ; Veselá, Pavla (advisor)
Toni Morrison was born in 1931 as Chloe Anthony Wofford in Lorain, Ohio. She studied at Howard University and later at Cornell. She worked as an English teacher, but in 1965 she became a senior editor at the Random House. Thanks to her, many African American works were published. As Henry Louis Gates observes, as a writer, Morrison was influenced by the magical realism of Gabriel Garcia Marquez, and by William Faulkner. Morrison published her first novel, The Bluest Eye, in 1970. Sula was published in 1974, followed by Song of Solomon (1977), Tar Baby (1981), and Beloved in 1987. In 1993, Morrison was awarded the Nobel Prize for literature, becoming the first African American woman to win the prize.1 Morrison continues to publish until the present day; her most recent works include Paradise, Love, and A Mercy. When putting Morrison's work into a wider context, we have to consider the difficulties of African American self-expression in literature. According to Barbara Christian, in the 1970s and 1980s, the time Morrison published most of her novels, African American women writers undertook an exploration of their history and community. They were finally able to express what the previous generations were not, as they were permitted to express themselves in limited ways, due to racism and sexism. Starting with...

Indices of Advertising Virality
Konvalinková, Monika ; Linhart, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Jeřábek, Zbyněk (referee)
This Bachelor's thesis measures the change in the attitude to and memorability rate of a product or a service promoted with humorous advertising in comparison with informative advertising. In the theoretic part are defined terms such as advertising, humour in advertising, attitudes and memory. In the practical part I investigate the change in the attitude and rate of remembering comparing two commercials using a questionnaire survey. These commercials are: a humorous commercial from T-mobile and an informative commercial from O2, i.e. commercials from competitors promoting similar services focusing on the same sort of customers. This survey is aimed at students. The research results are subsequently used for improving commercials defining possible deficiencies of both spots in terms of memorability of the brand and service.

Process management and its use for optimization
Drahorádová, Lucie ; Tichá, Ivana (advisor) ; Lucie, Lucie (referee)
The subject of thesis Process management and its use in optimization is drafting process change in real company and its subsequent implementation. The work focuses on the steps important to the change process, their explanation and subsequent use in practical part. Thesis is divided into two main parts. First part is a theoretical background of the process management and a development of this sector, explanation of key concepts closely related with process management to a description of a specific methods, which play a role in the process of company management.Next part is a practical part where most of the theoretical background was used. Practical work itself is a real-world example of the banking environment, where was actually implemented. Because of a limited possibility to publish the practical part, I do not mention a particular company and the data used for the preparation example are type data - these are not real data. However, the implementation of process changes was set this way and works now, and since it was the optimization, it is therefore expected that this change will bring its savings in the future. Since the implementation of the changes has already occurred, even this assumption was fulfilled and set change of process still generates its savings.

Manager role in decision-making processes
Menoušková, Veronika ; Hron, Jan (advisor) ; Pavel, Pavel (referee)
The Thesis deals with the importance of decision-making roles in managerial work. The work consists of two main parts - theoretical and practical. The theoretical part is formed by Literature searches and was drawn up after studying literature. The basic concepts were defined such as management, manager, management role or decision-making process and there was also described the issue of decision-making roles. In these diploma thesis are mentioned the fundamentals of management, managerial functions, roles, leadership styles and how to resolve problems. Literary research forms the theoretical basis for developing own parts. The practical part was prepared under the basis of the research, which was conducted in the selected subject. A questionnaire was prepared for the subordinate of a particular manager. The Questions clarified how subordinates perceived supervisors and their role in decision making. It was examined how often and what problems are solved with the boss, whether the manager creates a friendly environment in the workplace, or whether the manager is interested in the views of subordinates. Simultaneously the manager evaluated himself through a managerial GRID. The responses of both forms of research were compared and then used as the basis for preparation of an overall assessment and to create a conclusion. At the same time it was used as the basis for proposing measures to streamline management. The conclusion summarizes the lessons learned from the evaluation questionnaires and managerial GRID.

Comparison of health care in the Czech Republic and Germany
Dutá, Sára ; Kocmánková Menšíková, Lucie (advisor) ; David, David (referee)
This thesis deals with comparing the two health systems, the differences between the quality of medical care in the Czech Republic and the Federal Republic of Germany, and more specifically with the individual physician access to the patient. The thesis explains in the theoretical part the basic concepts relating to the topic of health (the value of health and its determinants, lifestyle, prevention, illness, disease, health care, health care system and health policy) further discusses the Czech and German health care system and compares them basic structure, where the most fundamental difference is the difference of the German health system, which is divided into two levels, national and federal. The thesis also studies the role of the doctor and patient and the relationship between them. Secondary and comparative data analysis of the differences in health care in the Czech Republic and Germany showed that respondents are with care and physician access to the patient rather satisfied in Germany, although there are also drawbacks. Data obtained through semi-structured interviews show that views on health care varies according to the number of years spent in Germany (respondents who lived in Germany for example for 15 years, had with the local health care more experiences). Almost all interviewees seem to agree that the difference in health care in these countries is due to the differences in funds that are spent on health care. Annually put Germany on Health care about 11, 6% of GDP, of which 76.8% are public funds. On health care in the Czech Republic it is 7.5% of GDP. Participation in the payment of health care in the Czech Republic was 15.8%, Germany 23.5%. From the data obtained suggests that the quality of care affects the confidence in it and the need to treat the patient.

The importance of ICT for the management of household budgets
Vránová, Lucie ; Šilerová, Edita (advisor) ; Pavel, Pavel (referee)
This thesis deals with the importance of ICT in the management of household budgets. At first are presented the objectives and the selected methods in the two main areas of work. The theoretical part describes the basic concepts, such as finance, money, income and expenditure, financial management, remuneration and budgeting process. The next section presents the basic forms of home finance management and describes chosen applications. Introduction of practical part deals with the evaluation of a questionnaire survey which aimed to map the situation of the management of home finance university-educated respondents. By questionnaires is determined the age category of respondents, number of dependents and self-employed persons in the household, the method of recording revenue and expenditure and the subsequent establishment of the budget, then the debt or form of household savings. Results are presented graphically and verbally. The next section contains a description of the software solutions accounting of revenue and expenditure and household budgets created specifically for the purpose of this thesis. In chapter Results and Discussion is presented evidence gathered in the practical part using SWOT analysis and proposed measures to eliminate the two identified threats. The final chapter assesses whether the objectives have been achieved.

Analysis of sheep utility attributes in ecological and conventional flocks in the Czech Republic
Linhartová, Iveta ; Ptáček, Martin (advisor) ; Jan, Jan (referee)
The goal of this diploma thesis was to perform an analysis of sheep breeding of Suffolk breed in basic reproductive performance and meat production traits aspects. The information for rating these aspects was used from two farms. The first of them used conventional way of breeding (ZVOZD Horácko, družstvo) and the second one used ecological way (EkofarmaKosařůvmlýn, s.r.o.). Fertilization, fertility, intensity and rearing belong among monitored reproductive indicators. These reproductive indicators are expressed in percentages. Regarding meat production traits rating in this thesis we compared influences of year of lambing, farming method, birth month, sex, litter size and age of dam. All these influences were judge according to birth weight (kg), weight at the age of 100 days (kg), average growth (g), depth of the longest dorsal muscle (mm) and according to depth of subcutaneous fat (mm). Reproductive performance and meat production were monitored in years 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015. In terms of reproductive performance with a few exceptions it was true that ZVOZD Horácko, družstvo reached the best values, and in most cases better than the national average. For example in terms of intensity values in 2012 ZVOZD Horácko, družstvo had 35,9% better results compared to national average. In the same year this farm reached 48,1% higher values of percentage rearing compared to national average. Ekofarma Kosařův mlýn, s.r.o. showed worse performances, however it was in most cases better than national average. In terms of intensity in 2011 Ekofarma Kosařův mlýn, s.r.o. had the same results as the ZVOZD Horácko, družstvo. Meat production properties were supported by statistical calculations and all of them were conclusive at least at the level of significance P < 0,05 in all cases except month of birth effect on birth weight. The best results of meat production in terms of effect of lambing had the year 2012, when the birth weight was one of the highest and the other properties (weight at the age of 100 days, average growth, depth of the longest dorsal muscle, depth of subcutaneous fat) were by far the highest in the period of 2011-2015. Next we found out that the ecological way of breeding (in this case Ekofarma Kosařůvmlýn, s.r.o.) has better results than the conventional way (ZVOZD Horácko, družstvo). The effect of birthmonth has the significant influence on the indicators of meat production and the lambs born in April had the best results. In the case of sex rams are better. Litter size has very important influence on meat production the more lambs per one mother, the lower birth weights, the lower weights until the period of weaning, the lower weights at the age of 100 days. It is affected by milkiness of the mother. Moreover, the age of mothers also play a significant role. In our research the highest birth weights had lambs of one year old mothers and all other indicators were the highest in the case of three year old dams.
