Nuclear tests and their implications for public health and environmental quality
FABIÁN, Lubomír
The aim of this thesis is to give an overview of past nuclear testing and draw some conclusions regarding its potential implications on public health. The introduction presents all kinds of nuclear tests, the history of nuclear testing with respect to particular countries, provides the description of the kinds of ionizing radiation and protection against it as well as the biological effects of ionizing radiation on tissue. There is a part devoted to international treaties in this field ? The Partial Nuclear Test Ban Treaty, The Threshold Test Ban Treaty and The Comprehensive Nuclear Test Ban Treaty. The summary of the number, the yield and the geographical distribution of the past atmospheric nuclear tests follows. There is an explanation of the global fallout mechanism of the radionuclides released, the estimates of emitted doses and the relationship between these doses and their probability of inducing cancer in the human body. The objective of this work is to make an assessment of the contribution of doses originating from nuclear testing to total population doses (irradiation) and subsequently quantify health implications for the population. The method of achieving this is based on calculating theoretical estimation of cancer incidence from known effective doses commitments and in comparison with those real incidences raised by all the different sources and reasons in world areas chosen, derived from the statistical data gathered from scientific studies and publications of international organizations involved. The outcome of this work is the confirmation of the first hypothesis that nuclear testing has statistic impact on enhancing the frequency of cancer disorders on the world population; however this is relatively small with respect to the other sources of radiation and a rate of naturally spontaneous (non-radiation-induced) cancer occurrence. Also the second hypothesis that underground nuclear tests have significantly smaller influence on public health and environment quality than the other kinds of nuclear tests is acknowledged.

Determination of recharge zones by means of vegetation water stress based on remote sensing and ground measurements
Duffková, R. ; Brom, J. ; Žížala, D. ; Zemek, František ; Procházka, J. ; Nováková, E. ; Zajíček, A. ; Kvítek, T.
The watershed recharge zones with high soil permeability are critical source zones of non-point agricultural pollution. Their delimitation is the condition of targeted agricultural management in protection zones of water resources. The accelerated water runoff from permeable soils of recharge zones reduces actual evapotranspiration and supports faster formation of vegetation water stress in comparison with other watershed parts. Recharge zones delimitation upon this theory was carried out on a small watershed (partially drained) by a combination of aerial photography in the infrared and optical spectrum of electromagnetic radiation, which provided a basis for modelling of surface energy balance components and crop water stress index (CWSI). The best indicators of vegetation water stress determined by statistical analyzes in order to define recharge zones (arable land with closed stand) were revealed evaporation fraction, CWSI and surface temperature. The results were supported by detailed pedological survey.

The Commemorative Book of Malenice`s Rectory Office (1734 ? 1945)
STANĚK, Libor
The Bachelor`s thesis The Commemorative Book of Malenice`s Rectory Office (1735 ? 1945) deals with two parish chronicles. Its endeavour is to describe and characterize them and it also considers usage of this type of source in the field of historical research. The thesis is divided up into seven chapters. The first one introduces and appreciates literature and other potential sources related to the theme. The second one brings basic information about Malenice. The third one acquaints with Malenice`s history ? from the time of the first prehistoric discoveries until now. In the following chapter we can find description of the chronicle and determination of its authors as well. The fourth part focuses on the rectory office`s history and development. The last but one chapter brings division and characteristics of records in the chronicle. The last part is concerned with a possibility of usage of parish chronicles in scientific work and their comparison with municipal ones. There is a list of literature used and supplements at the end of the thesis. The supplements are composed by photographs and tables.

The Assessment in the Music Education at the Second Stage of Basic Education and its Influence on the Pupils
ZAHRADNÍČKOVÁ, Šárka
Music education has a difficult position in comparison with other subjects also taught during the basic education. Whereas the training aspects are preferred to the educational aspects, it is quite hard to assess the abilities and skills gained by learning this subject. The purpose of this work is to find out which forms and methods of assessment are used most extensively by teachers at the second stage of elementary education and what is the influence of these forms and methods on the pupils. The theoretical part of this thesis is focused on forms and methods, which can be used at music education at the second stage of basic education. The questionable position of the music education compared to the other subjects is also discussed. The practical part of the thesis is conceived like a research, focused on identification of the forms and methods used by teachers of music education at the second stage of basic education and assessment of the influence they have on the pupils.

Comparing of the Rm-system Czech Stock Exchange with the Prague Stock Exchange and with the foreign exchanges.
VESELÁ, Ludmila
This thesis compares various attributes of the two stock exchanges that are currently in existence in the Czech Republic: the Rm-system Czech Stock Exchange and the Prague Stock Exchange. Detailed comparisons are made between various specifics of membership policies, trading routines, fees and indices at these exchanges and these are then related to the corresponding attributes at two representative foreign exchanges: the London Stock Exchange and the New York Stock Exchange. A principal question to be answered in the thesis is whether having two independent organizers of stock-market trading is beneficial to the investors and overall practical for the market of the size of the Czech Republic. The first, theoretical part of the thesis is focused on historical evolution and characteristics of the stock exchanges. In this part we give a general classification of stock exchanges, discuss in some detail the kinds of traded financial instruments, describe trading participants and elucidate the nitty-gritty of trading systems. The second, practical part of the thesis then examines detailed facts about individual stock exchanges in the order listed in the theoretical part with the emphasis put on the differences between the stock markets under study. Various representative data is collected in tables and/or recorded in charts and graphs. Particular distinctions between the stock exchanges are analyzed and the distinguished aspects are highlighted. The conclusion summarizes obtained results and finally answers, in the mild affirmative, the question whether it is beneficial to have the stock market in the Czech Republic served by two independent stock exchanges.

A comparison of condition for the providing of building loans at different mortgage banks within the Czech Republic
GRYCOVÁ, Jana
The aim of this thesis is to compare conditions of providing mortgage by three commercial banks in the Czech Republic. Following bank institutions have been chosen for the comparison: Komerční banka, a.s. (Commercial Bank OJSC), Raiffeisenbank, a.s. (Raiffeisenbank OJSC) and Československá obchodní banka, a. s. (Czechoslovak Commercial Bank OJSC). The comparison has been made according to given criteria, which has shown how particular offers differ. In addition, the comparison has been performed on three model samples. The chosen banks have created indicative offers of mortgage loans for given data. Finally, the comparison has been drawn on the basis of these offers with the help of charts and graphs and the most convenient from the point of view of a client bank has been chosen.

From results follow, that activities and subsequent drawing grants is different in various districts. The south bohemia region ist for example more succesfull in drawing grants through Programm Development of country, on the opposite side, the drawing from Programm Bussiness and innovation ist relatively low in the comparison with other districts. The results of work can be used as a interesting and practical view on existing drawing of grants by south enterprises.
