Revision of steam turbines and repair design
Grepl, Martin ; Trněný, Bohumil (referee) ; Fiedler, Jan (advisor)
The theme of this master thesis is the revision and repair design of the condensing steam turbine SST 600 in Bielsko-Biala. The thesis deals with the revision of the steam turbine and the repair design of the damaged parts, the overall analysis of the separation of the steam of the split plane and the calculation of the parameters for tightening the new screws. The master thesis is given for a specific case. The introductory part of the master thesis deals with a basic description of the repaired steam turbine. Subsequently, a review of individual disassembled parts is given and the scope of the repairs is stated. In the next part of this thesis are summarized the causes of the steam leakage of the dividing plane at the points of the cross section and in the area of the control stage. The last part deals with the sealing problem of the split plane and the related main part of the master thesis is the calculation of the tightening parameters of bolts in the turbine housing. Another aim of the master thesis is to create drawings of the lightening of the split plane on turbine house.
Condensing steam turbine
Vymětalík, Zbyněk ; Fiedler, Jan (referee) ; Kracík, Petr (advisor)
The topic of this diploma thesis is a condensing steam turbine with one regulated steam extraction. The first part contents design and balance of heat scheme. The heat scheme is the basis for the main part of this work, which is the thermodynamic design of the turbine with reaction blades. At the end, the characteristics of the turbine are created. Drawing of the turbine section is attached to this thesis.
Steam turbine
Šamalík, Jakub ; Martinec, Jiří (referee) ; Fiedler, Jan (advisor)
In this master’s thesis, I made a thermodynamic calculation of a steam turbine under the parameters given. In order to increase the efficiency of the low-pressure turbine section and to reduce axial length of the low-pressure rotor, a radial stage is designed in this section. The master’s thesis also includes a design of the low-pressure section. The thesis is divided into chapters, which contains a calculation of the single sections of the turbine. In the introductory chapters, the single sections of the turbine engineered are theoretically discussed. In the conclusion, assessments of the benefits of the use of radial stage are made.
Steam Turbine for the Waste to Energy
Gajdoš, Adam ; Fiedler, Jan (referee) ; Kracík, Petr (advisor)
Diploma thesis deals with the design of the condensing steam turbine with power output 23.63 MW at 5000 rpm and an efficiency of 84.17% after optimization. The turbine contains one controlled steam extraction and four bleeds. The steam mass flow required by controlled steam extraction is 0-75 t/h of a total mass flow to the turbine 105 t/h. Design of the steam turbine is preceded by calculation of heat balance of the cycle. Then the thermodynamic and strength calculation of regulation stage and reaction staging flow channel are made. Thermodynamic calculation of the flow channel consists of preliminary and detailed calculation. It is detailed calculation that leads to the turbine parameters optimization. The design also includes gland sealing system and balance piston calculation. In addition to the strength calculation there is bearings load calculation included. In the end, the consumption diagram is made, showing the interval by which the turbine can be safely operated. Integrated part of the thesis is conceptual drawing of steam turbine section.
Steam Turbine for fossil power plant
Třináctý, Jiří ; Fichtl, Richard (referee) ; Fiedler, Jan (advisor)
This thesis deals with design is condensing steam turbines burning fossil fuels with nominal capacity of the generator of 250 MW with steam reheating and regenerative eight uncontrolled extraction points. The turbine consists of two bodies: a combined high-intermediate pressure section and low pressure parts with dual way outlet down into the water-cooled condenser. Work includes calculating thermal scheme for 100% and 75% capacity, specific heat consumption calculation and design of the flow HP-MP body. Further strength control and basic engineering design of high-medium- work completed by longitudinal section. Achievements are at the end of work compared with work 3a and the conclusion summarizes the advantages and disadvantages of the concept.
Milling of axial groove in rotary turbine
Káčer, Pavel ; Prokop, Jaroslav (referee) ; Osička, Karel (advisor)
The aim of this work is comparison of special form tools for manufacture of grooves in rotor turbine. For this purpose tools are chosen from „A“ and „B“ company. Form milling cutters are confronted both in terms of their characteristic features, manufacturing methods, and time and economy intensity. Furthermore, there is described a possible future way of grooves‘ production through the use of the „C“ ‘s programme. Apart from that, this thesis also involves simple programme for comparing the chosen parameters.
Steam turbine start-up
Jelínek, Tomáš ; Kracík, Petr (referee) ; Šnajdárek, Ladislav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis focuses on steam turbine start-up process. The first part of this thesis describes in general terms the basic practices and principles of start-up. The second part deals with the general description of thermal stress on the rotor and stator part. There is also simplified calculation of start-up duration and admissible temperature difference. The last part is a calculation of heat transfer coefficient using inverse heat transfer analysis. There is a comparison of models and measurement data of thermal stress.
Heat exchangers, influence of cycle efficiency
Khůlová, Jitka ; Štěpánová, Lenka (referee) ; Fiedler, Jan (advisor)
The master's thesis deals with district heat exchangers in a thermal steam cycle of combined heat and power plants and with types of condensate cascades in the multilevel heating systems. Calculation of the thermal efficiency of electricity generation is provided for the investigated thermal cycle, which was modified for three different types of cascades. Besides that, a comparison of useful electric power and electricity generation through one year period of working is made. A significant part of the work is devoted to the design of district heat exchangers, including the calculation of thermal power and heat transfer area. Main dimensions are proposed for each exchanger together with a basic drawing.
Steam boiler for straw, saturated steam 0,4MPa output 3MW, and for distric heating system 6MW
Řezníček, Jan ; Kól, Přemysl (referee) ; Skála, Zdeněk (advisor)
The work is focused on the design heat generation source in my chosen location. The entire facility should be designed to meet the basic requirements of the client. The primary objective of this work is alternatively propose solutions to perform basic balance calculations and determine the performance of each device. Based on the location selected diagram to produce annual heat needs and recommend the best possible solution.
