Secondary Defensive Mechanisms in Psychoanalysis
Malimánek, Karel ; Šípek, Jiří (advisor) ; Bahbouh, Radvan (referee)
Analysis of the secondary defensive mechanisms, considering psychoanalytic theories of a intrapsychic conflict, is the goal of this thesis. The thesis focuses on contemporary approaches and concepts to secondary defensive mechanisms with theoretical and observational point of view. Repression is considered to be the basis of the secondary defensive mechanisms. Afterwards the thesis focuses on work of Sigmund Freud with respect to his articulation of defense, repression and defensive mechanism in accordance with psychoanalytic theory of conflict, changing over time. Anna Freud and revision of structural model by Charles Brenner are also mentioned. The emphasis is put on conflicts of oedipal period with respect to research project. Afterwards the thesis focuses on attempts to experimentally demonstrate repression considering defects. The research project is the replication and relates to repression of incestuous story concerning grammar school students. Keywords defensive mechanisms, repression, defense, intrapsychic conflict, structural model, Oedipal complex

Ontogeny of soldier behaviour and its polyethism in termites
Homolka, Petr ; Šobotník, Jan (advisor) ; Frouz, Jan (referee)
The presence of soldier caste is an important synapomorphy of group Isoptera. The adaptation of this caste to defense tasks is more than obvious and some of their morphological or even behavioral adaptations can be quite impressive. The polyethism in termites is relatively well known inbetween rather worker caste. If there are such a studies pointing at polyethism in soldiers, they are connected with soldier polymorphism. The morphological differences are of course important stimulus to role separation. The goal of this thesis was to examine the polyethism in the species of the termite with monomorphic soldiers - Prorhinotermes simplex. I did behavioral experiments with it in enclosed arenas, recorded on specific days. The data shows, that there are differences inbetween individuals and it would be benefical to invest further time to subsequent studies. The thesis bring out new point of view to defensive behaviour of termites and suggests, that even termite species without polymorphic species may have soldiers with different tasks. Besides I managed to map ontogeny of soldier behaviour in the first two weeks after moulting from presoldier instar. Analysis of selected activities without the ball in volleyball by the specialized position of smasher
Kulasová, Kateřina ; Buchtel, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Vorálek, Rostislav (referee)
This bachelor thesis refers to game actions, without the ball, by the specialized position of smasher in top-rate volleyball. Situations are analysed from both offensive and defensive areas and they are considered until the moment of smasher's contact with the ball, or immediately afterwards. All situations mentioned above concern players of the first line that are smashing or defending the ball at the net. The analysis of such situations will be delivered on the basis of video sequences using the computer programme DartFish. In the first theoretical part the reader is familiarized with volleyball as a ball game itself, briefly introducing all individual game actions. Additional to this more information about the techniques of offensive striking and blocking is given. Finally, the knowledge of the smasher's properties and her role from the point of view of top- rate volleyball is described. The Research part analyses the individual motions of a smasher at the net who is not in contact with the ball. The analysis concerns the distances and speed at the time of movement, height of jumps, arms' distance while blocking and striking etc. Based on these analyses conclusions are made, where results are evaluated and compared in individual game situations. Key words: Defense, attack, block, smash,...
The most commonly used techniques in wre stling
Žižka, Jan ; Pavelka, Radim (advisor) ; Smolík, Petr (referee)
Title: The most commonly used techniques in wrestling Objectives: The main task of the thesis is to discover what the most commonly used techniques in greco-roman and freestyle wrestling are. It further focuses on description of these techniques as well as on defence of them and on their training. Finally this thesis confronts the theoretical description of the techniques with the manner they are actually being used in competitons. Methods: The theoretical part of the thesis is based on analysis and synthesis of technical literature. The practical part uses especially the outcomes of observation and comparison of the results. Results: The results of this thesis show, that the most commonly used techniques in selected competition in both styles was a body roller. In stand position it was arm throw and leg attack in greco-roman style and freestyle, respectively. Keywords: wrestling, technnique, defence, freestyle, greco-roman style
Analisis of selected activities of individuals without the ball in volleyball with specialization blocker
Knoblochová, Michaela ; Buchtel, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Vorálek, Rostislav (referee)
The bachelor thesis deals with activities of players especially blockers without ball, mainly in defence and to a lesser extent in offensive situations. These situations are analysed via selected sequences in the software DartFish. The first theoretical part introduces the reader generally to volleyball as a ball game. It characterises individual game activities whereas it is focused on blocking which is closely described in a separate chapter. The end of the theoretical part brings basic information about the specialised software used in volleyball - Datavolley, DartFish. The second research part analyses single activities and moves of a blocker without ball at the net first of all in defence and in lesser frequency in offence. It evaluates specific measurements of blocker's moves which have been taken via DartFish software on players in view. Based on the measurement results it recommends the most effective type of blocker's move considering distance. Key words: block, blocker's moves, somatic factors, game performance, volleyball rally, Datavolley, DartFish, defence, coverage
The analysis of certain moves by the libero in volleyball when not in possession of the ball
Dostálová, Veronika ; Buchtel, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Vorálek, Rostislav (referee)
This thesis focuses on the analysis of certain moves by the libero in volleyball when not in possession of the ball. I analyse individual sequences with the help of the DartFish software program, which I apply to situations following serve of my team and that of my opponent. Movement is analysed up to the moment the libero makes contact with the ball, as well as after contact. The theoretical section introduces the reader to volleyball as a sport. Here I address individual moves in play with emphasis on the actions of passing and digging, the libero's main functions. The conclusion of the theoretical section also provides basic information on the diagnostic programs Datavolley and DartFish, which are used for breaking down volleyball moves. In the research section, movement of the libero during a match while not in possession of the ball is analysed. I examine the distance of moves during individual rallies, the time of moves, starting positions, and positions while passing and digging. Conclusions are drawn based on the results, which are then evaluated and compared. Key words: libero, defence, starting position, movement in the court, analysis, DartFish. Analysis of Defence Research and Development in the Czech Republic
Fiala, Karel ; Knobloch, František (advisor) ; Stejskal, Libor (referee)
Defence research and development is an important public policy phenomenon, which represents a relevant part of security policy and interferes with many other areas when considered in a wider perspective. My diploma thesis presents an analysis of the Czech policy of defence research and development and an international comparison with the Netherlands and Slovakia. Governmental policy in this area is relatively pro-active as regards its declared settings. On the other hand, its actual practise reveals many problematic areas. Ministry of Defence's expenditure on defence research and development has been falling since 1999 and recently finds itself well below the limit guaranteed by the law. Insufficient utilisation of foreign financial support might be considered negatively as well. The analysis that I carried out in my thesis identified fundamental shortcomings of the Czech system, the functioning of which is far from being optimal. The deficiencies have mostly a systemic manner and can not be solved by partial changes. Due to this reason I propose an alternative set up of the Czech policy of defence research and development, based on a shift to the agency model inspired by the Dutch experience.
