Metoda stanovení struktur početních stavů populací spárkaté zvěře
KROUPA, Robert
The diploma thesis deals with the determination and expansion of numerical structures for Cloven-hoofed game ie. for roe deer (Capreolus capreolus), red deer (Cervus elaphus), fallow deer (Dama dama), sika deer (Cervus nippon), white-tailed deer (Odocoileus virginianus), mouflon (Ovis musimon), chamois (Rupicapra rupicapra) and wild boar (Sus scrofa). The social structures of female game numbers for different sex ratios have been developed and can be used in different types of breeding. Based on the model cases performed, it has been confirmed that, with a limited number of individuals in the population, the number of youngsters and the number of adults decreases in nature at the sex ratio in favor of females due to spontaneous game reduction. As a result, the average age of adults is reduced, and younger years are getting into reproduction. Another negative aspect of this unbalanced sex ratio is the increase in cloven-hoofed game and related damage and intraspecific stress. In addition, for some game reserves, if the sex ratio is increased for males, there are problems of a similar character, which are being overcome by greater losses in heat fights. This creates additional economic damage. Model cases have shown and confirmed that, with a limited number of game and around a balanced gender ratio of 1:1 to about 1.2:1 in favor for males and 1:1.2 in favor for females, there are no problems with population control because it is predictable. Once the gender ratio is wider, basic problems arise and that is poorly breeding. These wider gender ratios are on one side and the other unnatural in nature and therefore carry many problems.
Influence of environment on distribution and coexistence of different diseases on a single plant species
Mráčková, Michaela ; Koubek, Tomáš (advisor) ; Koupilová, Klára (referee)
Most plant species host one or multiple pathogens. However, studies are mostly focused on simple pathosystems. These studies deal for example with the virulence of the pathogen, plant resistance or influence of the environment on the pathosystem. The occurrence of more pathogens in one plant species is taken into account only in a few studies. Most of those studies focus on the coinfection of multiple pathogens in one individual host, especially in the agriculture, so there is very little information about coexistence of more pathogens in wild plant population. This paper summarizes the general information about plant and pathogen interaction, focuses on environmental effects and finally focuses on occurrence of multiple pathogens on one plant species. From the studies it is clear, that both, abiotic (light, temperature, humidity, etc.) and biotic conditions (pollinators or pests as vectors etc.) have impact on host- pathogen interaction. During co-occurrence of multiple pathogens in one host plant, various interactions between coinfecting pathogens can occur (competition, cooperation, etc.). Resistance of plant to one pathogen can be affected by presence of other pathogens and stress factors. Finally, coinfection may also affect virulence of individual pathogens. Comparison of admission tests of HZS from Teplice with ordinary population
Šimková, Veronika ; Fiala, Miloš (advisor) ; Vilášek, Josef (referee)
Title: Comparison of physical admission test for the Fire Brigade of the Czech Republic with ordinary population. Objectives: The aim of this thesis is to compare results of firefighters with ordinary population of admission test for the Fire Brigade of the Czech Republic. Methods: . In this thesis, comparison of physical fitness and performance is done for 15 random selected volunteers from ordinary population and 15 members of HZS ČR Ústeckého kraje, územního odboru Teplice. Mann-Whitney U test was chosen to verify stated hypothesis. Mann- Whitney U test is a non-parametric test that compares two chosen data sets. The hypothesis states that the results of firefighters with ordinary population of admission test for the Fire Brigade of the Czech Republic are nearly the same. Results: Mann-Whitney U test was applied to determine if the stated hypothesis holds true. The statistical method was done for 3 physical tests required in admission exam to HZS ČR. The hypothesis was declined only for test 1 (push-ups). In other cases (test 2 - sit-ups , test 3 - 200 m swimming), the hypothesis was confirmed. Keywords: test, firefighters, swimming, population, corps
Impacts of 1990's genocide on population of Rwanda and its awareness about family planning
Jelínková, Kamila ; Hulíková Tesárková, Klára (advisor) ; Kurtinová, Olga (referee)
Impacts of 1990's genocide on population of Rwanda and its awareness about family planning Abstract This thesis pursues the demographic development and the population's attitude to family planning in the state of Rwanda. The observed time period includes the second half of the 20th century to the present time. The first aim is the basic description of the demographic development of the state in relation to historical events. It's well known that wars have a negative impact on the population and economics of a state. The civil war broke out which brought big population losses in Rwanda in the 1990's. In this period the demographic revolution proceeded as it had in many other developing countries, which was important for the socioeconomic development of the state, and it was ceased as a consequence of the genocide. The Rwandan government at that time as one of the first governments began with the support of family planning programmes, which could have had a positive impact on the acceleration of the demographic transition. The second aim of the thesis is the determination whether the genocide had an impact on these governmental initiatives and stalled broadening of the awareness of family planning among the population this way, namely by means of media. The last aim of the thesis is the determination whether...
Multilevel selection theory
Mihulka, Tomáš ; Švorcová, Jana (advisor) ; Toman, Jan (referee)
Multilevel selection is an attempt to unify different approaches to the Level of selection problem. This paper examines the principles, starting points, variants and problems of this concept. Particular emphasis is placed on the relationship of this theory to Gene's-eye view and the presentation of evidence of the usefulness of Multilevel selection in analyzing evolutionary changes.

Proceedings of the 25-year Program of Teplice: Environment and Population in the Ústecký Region
