The ARCLib Project: an Open-Source Solution for Long-Term Preservation

The talk informs about the Czech ARCLib project. One of the main goals of the project is the development of an open-source solution for a bit-level and logical preservation of digital documents, respecting the national and international standards as well as the needs of all types of libraries in the Czech Republic. The mission of the ARCLib project lies, among others, in creating a solution that will allow institutions to implement all of the OAIS functional modules and entities, considering institutions’ information model. The architecture is planned as open and modular and the final product will be able to ingest, validate and store data from a majority of software products used for creating, disseminating and archiving libraries’ digital and digitised data in the Czech Republic.

Play and Stay 10s system

Title: Play and stay 10s system The thesis "Play and stay 10s system" follow up compilation of available literature dealing with training of children under 10 years old. This system i salso applicable to older children beginners or even adult beginners. The aim of the thesis is to analyze this system prefered by ITF and subscribe it to Czech trainers and coaches or those who are interested in tennis methodology for this age category. The problem in this category is the fact that a large amount of athletes have other sport opportunities than tennis. The outflow of athletes from this sport is caused by direct corrective form of teaching that children do not like. And as many people think, it goes to collective and more entertaining sports where the game itself is beginning from first lesson. The slogan of tennis 10s is "Serve, rallye, score". This system has caused worldwide rise and popularity among children and adults. Tennis taught in this way is more attractive and fun. Software tool for factory acceptance test

This work is focused on the implementation of functional tests within the software project in the field of energy in the company Unicorn. The theoretical part describes in general the project methodology of software development and the methodology Rational Unified Process (RUP). In addition, the test methods are included, and the quality management model FURPS+. The last section introduces functional tests, including a description of those that are used to test the developed application. The practical part consists of description of the energy project Nemo Link, developed application Nemo Link Dispatch System (NDS), individial application modules, test enviroment, used tools and designed test methodology. Based on this methodology, individual selected tests are performed and evaluated.

How to research drinking regime sociologically?

The main topic of this diploma thesis is comparison of two different methods of research. The first method is diary and the second method is online community. The subject of research in which these methods are compared with each other is the drinking regime of university students, more precisely the situation in which different drinks are consumed by university students. A total of twenty university students were involved in the research that is of a qualitative nature, with ten students in one research method. For one week, the students recorded not only all the drinks they drank per week, but also the circumstances of consuming these beverages, such as time of consumption, place, reasons for consumption etc. The diploma thesis outlines the differences between these research methods in terms of research results, frequency and quantity of information obtained, preparation and implementation of the methods, analysis of acquired data, as well as the perception of these methods by the respondents themselves. The resulting data analysis presents the benefits and limits of each of the selected methods in the situational research of the drinking regime and also suggests possible implications for further research.
