Štenclová, Markéta ; Crossan, William Morea (advisor) ; Pecinová, Markéta (referee)
Title: Volunteer motivation and care in the RunCzech running events Purpose: The main aim of this master's thesis is to find the motives contributing to be a volunteer at the RunCzech running events which are organized by the Prague International Marathon. Another goal is to discover how the organizer takes care of their volunteers, and how the leadership and volunteer coordination really works. This thesis also includes the search of foreign literature which is dedicated to the study of volunteering in the family. In the empirical part is applied a qualitative research which is performed by the method of grounded theory. The aim of the thesis is to add a different point of view into the topic of transfer of volunteering in the family. This thesis points out the family dimension of volunteering which most studies nowadays marginalize. Exploring the transfer of volunteering in the family is able to provide a unique insight of how each member is aware of volunteering. It also considers how and for which reasons the family members are or are not committed to the volunteering.

Zavadová, Kateřina ; Pospíšilová, Tereza (advisor) ; Legnerová, Kateřina (referee)
The diploma thesis deals with volunteering of seniors in intergenerational programs. I connect these two phenomena in my work and put them into interaction with intergenerational issues. The aim of the research part is to map the possibilities of volunteer involvement of seniors in intergenerational programs in the Czech Republic, where senior volunteers act as service providers to the younger generation. I focus on various programs in which the oldest and youngest generation interact directly through various activities. The specific objectives are to find out how senior volunteers are addressed in these intergenerational programs from the perspective of program coordinators and to clarify the causes of the small number of senior volunteers involved in these programs.
