RF power meter

This master’s thesis describes various principles of measurement of electromagnetic waves in a free space and on a line. Used sensors and their real parameters are given for every method. The analysis of protections of high-frequency inputs of measuring instruments is done here and the most suitable method and protections of input for realization are chosen. The analysis of design of secondary protection of high-frequency input is done in this project. The protection of input is realized and measured. The suitable method of measurement is chosen as well as the sensor for measurement of power. The block diagram and circuit diagram of the meter of power are designed. According to designed conception the measuring instrument for measurement of power is realized and its single qualities are measured during the realization. In the final part its precision is measured and the evaluation of results is done.
Gamepad with 8-bit processor

This bachelor thesis is focused on development of applications for gamepad. Applications are programmed in assembler language and in C. Gamepad are created by 8-bit microprocessor AVR ATmega32, monochromatic LCD display with screen resolution 128x64 dots and the joystick is connected in order to manage the easy control.
Ultrasonic distance measurement

This thesis describes the design and realization of an ultrasonic distance meter. Is discussed about the principle of distance measurement using ultrasound and all physics laws, that occur during the measurement. It was selected the most appropriate measurement method, was also discussed about different types of ultrasonic transducers and was selected an appropriate converter for the specified task. The following part describes all function parts of the meter together with the processing of the detected ultrasonic signal. Next part is focused on the realization of the meter and programming, including the control of the graphical display and communication over the USB bus. The last part deals with the measurement with the completed meter to verify the functionality and the right choice of measurement method and circuit solution.
Control Panel with Touchscreen

The aim of this work is to design and construct a printed circuit board with touchscreen connection that will serve as a universal platform for controlling a variety of devices including industrial devices. The functionality of the board is demonstrated on control of gas boiler application. The first part attends to currently used and available graphic displays, touchscreens, communication interfaces and microcontrollers that allow control of a graphic display. The main focus is put on LCD TFT displays, resistive touch panels and microcontrollers with LCD TFT controller. The second part describes the selection of system components, design of printed circuit board and implementation of thermostat. The end of the work evaluates the produced device and discusses possible future extensions.
Image sensor signal data processing

This diploma thesis deals with an image capturing by a CMOS image sensor and controlling of graphical LCD displays using specialized integrated circuits. A theoretical research on the topic and design of the system designed for ease of processing, transmitting and still images displaying based on this research is described in this work. The output of the work is complete the device realized.
Communication & Man-Machine Interface for industrial sensors

This thesis describes the possibilities of local and remote sensors configuration. Summary overview of the most common Fieldbus and protocols for remote configuration is performed. The focus is mainly dedicated to the HART protocol that is analyzed from the physical layer to the application layer. Circuit diagram and printed circuit board (PCB) of smart sensor with thermistor probe Pt1000 was designed. The HART protocol allows the smart sensor parameters setting as well. The functionality of remote configuration was tested in HARTWinConf program. The control elements for local sensor configuration, such as buttons, matrix keyboards and touchscreens, are described in the following chapter. Representation of the measurement values on display module is introduced too. The most important parameters and aspect of character LCD, graphics LCD and OLED displays are described in greater details. The DD12864YO-3A OLED display was selected to use with designed temperature smart sensor module. The display shows the loop current, the percentage of current range and the primary value - temperature. As the last step the EMI and EMS tests for all modules were performed.

This thesis is about design car board computer for car. It summarizes basic knowledge about engine control unit, car board computer and other car computers. It informs with diagnostic protocol OBD and his use for reading data from engine control unit. It describes specific solution modular car board computer. In conclusion there are designed procedures to enhance car board computer.
An Automated Hothouse for Young Orchid Plants

Constriction of automated greenhouse that shall secure ideal conditions for orchids in greenhouse (e.g. humidity, temperature, watering, air circulation etc.) is objective of this work. The first part deals with the analysis of current solutions whether commercial or professional. The second part of work describes greenhouse generally, there are technical parameters, purpose and function of single components. The third part of work occupies with proposal and construction of hardware, the fourth part occupies with description of VHDL specification. We can find out in two final part how greenhouse was construct and how it is possible to have control over greenhouse.

Reflection of Alzheimer's disease in graphic display

Bachelor's work "Reflection of Alzheimer's disease in graphic display" is divided into two parts. First part is theoretical and describes the issues of Alzheimer's disease and possible therapies, which are suitable for these persons. Here belongs also the Art therapy with persons who suffer from this dinase and desription of graphic techniques and materials, which are suitable at this type of illness. The fisrt part is ended by the charter, which describes the outlines of Alyheimer's dinase in graphic display mentioned in a literature. The second part of the work is practical and describes my experience as a therapist in the Alzheimercenter Filipov o. p. s. It contains chapters, which mention how the Art therapy in this facility is going on, what are the outlines of Alzheimer's disease in graphic display of patients and how the progress of the disease is projected into the graphic creation.
