Manager for Desk Games with Parallel Tournament Playing

The theme of this work is to design and realize an application for organizing classic board game tournaments played by computer programs. The application is based on already existing Manager of board games and extends it, so there is a possibility of parallel playing games within the tournament, among other things. At the beginning I describe existing Manger of board games. Subsequently, I focus on theory of programing parallel and portable applications. The rest of the text summarizes the design and implementation of the target application.

Context of macroeconomic development and energy sector in the Czech Republic and Austria in the period 2000 - 2012

The aim of this diploma thesis is to verify a connection between macroeconomic development and energy sector. This connection is examined with the data from the Czech Republic and with the data from Austria, both in the years 2000 - 2012. The theoretical part describes energetics as a natural monopoly and a resource of externalities. It includes the theory of monitoring the business cycle and financial analysis of companies. The first half of the practical part compares macroeconomic development of the Czech Republic and the ČEZ group. The similar comparison is made with Austria and the Verbund company. Second half of the practical part explains how economic policies influence the Czech energetics. This impact is being studied in terms of legislation, regulations, monetary and fiscal policy. The practical part ends with rating and valuation of costs that arise from the main energy resources. The link between energetics and macroeconomic development was discovered and proved thanks to the doubled analysis used in the thesis.

Foreign direct investment impact on selected macroeconomic indicators of the economy of the Czech Republic from 1993 to 2013

Subject of this diploma thesis is to provide an overview of economic theories on why companies tend to invest at foreign markets directly and thus to determine the foreign direct investment (FDI) itself. Covered areas include a foreign direct investment typology, motivation to invest, localisation factors, attractiveness and measurement of a host country business environment. Various types of FDI, methodology and forms of FDI statistical coverage analysis is included in the thesis. Three frameworks influencing all the segments of the FDI are covered in depth. These include the foreign policy factors, domestic policy factors and a process of economic transformation in the Czech Republic. Corresponding analytics map a development between a FDI and selected macroeconomic indicators of the Czech Republic. The analysis shows that foreign investment has a certain influence over selected macroeconomic indicators, however it is not always possible to quantify it as well as to predict its trend. On the other side it is often difficult to prove an influence of macroeconomic development on intensity of the FDI inflow to the Czech Republic. Protection of minor shareholders in the legislation of the Slovak Republic

The aim of this master thesis is to specify the legal status of minor shareholders in the law of the Slovak Republic, which has provided to minor shareholders by governemnt to give them a chance to enforce their interests and to apply their right to participation in the management of the company. Part of the work is a preview of a corporation as such, as a shareholder, its rights and responsibilities and a description of situations when rights of minority shareholders can be breached.

Age financed by the benefits from pension pillars

In diploma thesis titled Age financed by benefits from pension pillars, is a reader first of all informed about a classification of various pension systems. In the following text is described pension system of the Czech Republic in many details, which forms two pillars in present time. According to the description of the Czech pension system, is also explained demographic situation from historical and future context. Very important is also considered explanation and description of pension systems in other countries, which is based on OECD report from 2015. In practical part is a used methodic of Melbourne Mercer Global Pension index. The evaluation of pension systems is very detailed in selected countries except Czech Republic. The index methodology is applied on Czechs pension system in last part of the diploma thesis. Final index evaluation is used for the proposal improvement of pension system.

A classic experiment and computer simulation in physics teaching

Paper defines the term experiment focuses on specific types of classic experiment and computer simulation options. A classic experiment and computer simulation in the research section gives associated with motivation for learning in physics classes. In the didactic analysis in teaching physics at inclusion classical experiment and computer simulation evaluates the effectiveness of the selected type of experiment.

Java in corporate environment

This thesis deals with the development of the program, which is used for sale of medication. The theoretical part is divided into five parts. First, there is an introduction of object-oriented programming globally as a whole. The following section concerns with Java programming language. The emphasis is put on specific features of this language and basic syntax. The chapter also includes objects and their basic principles of use. Next part specializes in SQL. and describes the basic clauses. Chapter UML is mentioned just partially. The main focus is on different perspectives of UML. In last part there is a division of companies based on legal form, including the description of each type. The basis of the practical part is to create a program code according to the assignment. Initially, a profile of the company, for which the program has been created, is introduced including the specifications and their requirements. Then the proposed solution is described. In the technical part a preparation of development environment is elaborated, which is followed by a detailed description of the functioning of the program. The end of the practical part is dedicated to a description of individual classes, in which their functionality is gradually explained. The result of the thesis is the output data written to the file. This file is used by the company to promote sales.

Motivation as a tool of performance management

The thesis focuses on the motivation of employees as a tool of their performance management at the property development company Crestyl real estate, s.r.o. Based on the results, a proposal is created which will lead towards improving the current situation in the mentioned business. This thesis is divided into two main sections, the first being theoretical and the second being practical. The theoretical section, based from literary sources, deals with the characteristics of human resource management, management and performance, motivation, theories of motivation, and incentive programs. The practical section begins with an introduction of the selected company, covering a brief description of the company's history, organizational structure, and business environment. Additionally, various benefits are described which are currently offered to employees. This is followed by the research questionnaire survey and an evaluation of its results. The results are based on suggestions and recommendations that should lead to increased employee motivation at the company.

The Importance of Motivation for a Leadership

Presented diploma thesis follows up a theme of employee motivation as one of the means of leadership practice. First theoretical part is focused on management theory, leadership proceeding from management practice and it presents how to motivate employees so they would work more efficient and satisfactory for an employer and for themselves. At the end of the theoretical part there is a brief introduction of business organisation itself, its structure. There are presented different types of organisational structure and types of leadership. Practical part follows with an issue concerning motivation of employees in a case study of practice in a specific company. It shows how employees are motivated and how this specific company uses motivational tools. Employees were all addressed in an anonymous questionnaire to give their opinion about this practice. The form contained questions about employees position in a company structure, their satisfaction or dissatisfaction with this position and what is their motivation. Based on the questionnaire the evaluation of main research thesis was made and concluded into recommendation for the company so the motivation of their employees would be as effective as possible as well as they would feel needed on their position and thus stay loyal to the company.

The bachelor thesis deals with further corporated learning. The thesis includes theoretical knowledge about corporate training, further description of the education system in the selected productive company, and a comparison of theory and applied practice. In the theoretical part there are defined terms related to the field of business education, such as learning, education, corporated and professional training, staff development and also the concepts of employee and company. Other subsections are devoted to strategic and systematic training in business, personnel department as part of an organization that provides these activities, corporates culture as one of the main factors that affects the manner and conditions of learning, learning organizations as an ideal model of corporated learning and also there is dedicated space for summary of the reasons and advantages of training activities in the company.
