The chapter about puppets, manequins and other creatures in theatre of Michel de Ghelderode

The diploma work "The chapter about puppets, mannequins and other creatures in theatre of Michel de Ghelderode" presents in the beginning a short overview of life and work contexts of Michel de Ghelderode and a selection from literature. The main chapter treat a different approaches to aspect of puppet in the relation with a man in plays of author. These apects are analyzed mainly in formes of mannequin, automat, animal and others. This work concern certain concepts of mannequins from Bruno Schulz's work and the power of mannequin hiden in his man's "double" character. The chapters "Ghelderode in the world" and "Ghelderode in Czech republic" presents shortly a panorama of theatrical reception. The supplements (I-III) contains: I. Chronology of Michel de Ghelderode's plays, II. Bibliography of czech translations of his plays, III. List of theatre realizations of his plays in Czech repubic till these days.

Interaction of polyomaviruses with proteasomal system of host cells Abstract: Viral family Polyomaviridae includes besides model organisms - mouse polyomavirus and SV40 virus, also human pathogens, for example, BK virus. Polyomaviruses are small non- enveloped viruses with double-stranded DNA. Understanding of their life cycle is important for their use in gene therapy and immunotherapy as well as for prevention and treatment of complications caused by these viruses. This thesis is focused on early phases of MPyV and SV40 infection studying, mainly on delivery of viral genome to nucleus and role of proteasomal system in this stage of infection. It was found out that inhibition of proteasomes by specific inhibitor leads to increase of early non-structural protein LT expression, which was chosen as marker for viral entry to the nucleus and successful viral expression. Relative localization of proteasomes and VP1 protein of MPyV and SV40 was monitored and it showed 10% colocalization of mentioned structures. Further, it was found out that proteasomal inhibitor MG-132 negatively influences the replication of both viral and cellular DNA. Ecclesiology of Antonín Salajka (1901-1975) The following work presents an ecclesiological analysis of the publication by prof. Antonín Salajka (1901-1975). In the first part, it submits the biography of the author. This author was the first czech catholic priest laureated in Pontifical Institute of Oriental Studies in Rome (in 1930). In the second part, it closely inteprets the very ecclesiology of the author itself. Salajka - theologist is introduced from several perspectives as well. First we supplied a suggestion for periodization of his scientific work. There we proposed two periods in congruence with a paradigm change of ecclesiastic-social circumstances, including changes of theological studies, which evidently affected our author's life and scientific work. The two proposed periods are: (1) 1930-1950, i.e. scientifically paramount and fundamental; (2) 1950-1975. Further, we introduced areas which fell under Salajka's interest: unionism, eastern christian churches and the problem of christian unification, eastern dogmatic theology, Church Slavonic, the study of christian East, dogmatic theology, so called theologia comparata, but also ecumenism, theological realisation, method in theology, fundamental theology, moral theology, last but not least pedagogical activity. Polymeric Materials for the Controlled Drug Delivery and Controlled Release of Active Substances

Literární rešerše předložené dizertační práce shrnuje poznatky jak o současně používaných biomateriálech, tak i o tzv. „chytrých“ biomedicínských materiálech mezi které patří termocitlivé kopolymery. Mezi tyto kopolymery, jejichž vodné roztoky gelují při teplotě lidského těla (37 °C), řadíme amfifilní triblokové kopolymery skládající se z hydrofobního laktidu, glykolidu a hydrofilního polyethylen glykolu (PLGA PEG PLGA). Komerčně dostupné termocitlivé kopolymery známé pod názvem ReGel or OncoGel jsou v současné době využívány jako injekčně aplikovatelné nosiče s postupným uvolňováním léčiv, zejména při léčbě cukrovky nebo onkologického onemocnění. Nicméně PLGA PEG PLGA triblokový kopolymer může být použit I jako polymerní nosič anorganického léčiva případně jako biodegradabilní implantát v dentálních či ortopedickýchých aplikacích. Z toho důvodu byl vybrán anorganický biokompatibilní hydroxyapatit (HAp) pro své majoritní zastoupení v tvrdých tkáních. Experimentální část je zaměřena na přípravu HAp/PLGA PEG PLGA kompozitů, ve kterých je HAp buď ve formě nano- (n-HAp) nebo „core-shell“ částic (CS). Nové CS částice, připravené dvouemulzní metodou, jsou složeny z „tuhého“ HAp jádra obaleného termocitlivým kopolymerem, který je navíc funkcionalizován kyselinou itakonovou (ITA/PLGA PEG PLGA/ITA). Funkcionalizace pomocí ITA vnáší do původní struktury kopolymeru jak síťovatelné dvojné vazby, tak i koncové karboxylové skupiny. Volné karboxylové skupiny na koncích ITA/PLGA PEG PLGA/ITA kopolymerního obalu byly dále zesíťovány za vzniku 3D chemické sítě (CS-x), jejíž životnost je řízena a kontrolována. ATR-FTIR spektroskopie prokázala přítomnost „nových“ esterových vazeb vzniklých karbodiimidovou reakcí –OH a –COOH skupin, kterým náleží adsorpční pásy ve vlnové délce 1021 cm-1.. n-HAp a CS-x částice byly přidány do kopolymerní termocitlivé matrice (PLGA PEG PLGA) za účelem charakterizace jejich reologického chování. Bylo zjištěno, že pokud bylo do polymerní matrice přidáno méně než 10 hm. % CS-x částic a jen 5 hm.% n-HAp kompozit si zachoval své termocitlivé vlastnosti. Na druhou stranu, přídavek vyššího množství HAp částic do polymerní matrice zajistil změnu vodného polymerního solu v permanentní gel při teplotě nad 37 °C. Analýza ICP-OES prokázala rychlejší uvolňování CS-x částic z 10 hm/obj. % PLGA PEG PLGA polymerní matrice do inkubačního média (6 % 9. den) než tomu bylo u n-HAp částic (jen 3 %), které jsou vázány více v micelární struktuře kopolymeru. Proto, kompozit na bázi n-HAP částic tvořící tuhý trvalý gel při tělesné teplotě, je vhodný více jako biologicky rozložitelné kostní lepidlo, zatímco kompozit z CS-x částic a termocitlivého kopolymeru je vhodný jako nosič léčiv pro injekční aplikace.

Protection of the Creative work in the field of Industrial Property.

Resume In my work I am describing and analyzing a wide range of legislation governing the creative work in the field of industrial property. It is clear that this course of economic life enjoyed wide attention not only in the domestic law, as well as transnational law, both in the context of global and European law. As follows from the introductory chapters, although industrial property rights is an integral and important part of the economic life of almost every business, there is no consensus among experts in public opinion, which issues are part of an industrial property and which are not. To a large extent, these discrepancies are caused by lack of legal definition of industrial property. Although this concept is logical in the sense that it does not intend to circumscribe the de lege lata industrial property in order to prevent accidental closure of the legal concept for the future. But on the other hand, in some cases complicates the interpretation of legal provisions in force, which leaves the blurred boundaries of industrial property and the dual perceptions of the concept. Proposal of a new type of steam turbine blade attachement

This thesis describes design of new circumferential blade attachment on last grade of steam turbine and following stress-strain analysis by FEM with static and cyclic loading. It was created two new design of geometry, which were created based on existing and operating constructional solution of oblique double T blade attachment. It was made stress-strain FEM analysis on original design of blades. Its results served to realize change of construction. Their target was increase load capacity and service life of new types of blade attachment.

Dovoz tropických plodin z Kolumbie do České Republiky: je poptávka dostatečně pokryta?

The demand for tropical fruit in the Czech Republic is rising, it´s a trend in the modern way of life. People in the Czech Republic, and all over the world, demand healthier ways of food consumption. We did research concerning a supply in the supermarkets and consumers. I found out, that a demand for tropical fruit was not very well covered and that people were demanding more variety of tropical fruit and were ready to up pay double prices for it. I compared data about consumption of tropical fruits in Germany, Austria and the Czech Republic. The comparison is drawn from net import of tropical fruit and net import it´s divided per capita. We proved that people in the Czech Republic were consuming fewer kilograms per capita per year than people in Germany and Austria. Annual consumption of tropical fruit in the Czech Republic grew by 7 % during the last five years, while in Germany it amounted to 0,3% and in Austria to 4,5%.

The role of anthropology in the development discourse

This thesis assesses the role of the subject of anthropology in the international development discourse. The author, herself an anthropologist analysed the positions among anthropologists and distinguished two main positions of anthropologists versus development. Within the first epistemic community of anthropologists the anthropologists consider themselves as active participants and offer their expertise into the services of governmental, nongovernmental or international organizations demonstrating the potential of anthropological knowledge for planning, implementation and evaluation of development policy. Within the second group the position is one as an antagonistic observer, characterised by reservation and criticism of both, the ideas of development and the motives of its promoters. Hence, within the second group the radical critics perceive development as an organised system of power and practices maintaining the neo-colonial dominance of western countries over the poorer countries of the "South". The genealogy of development and progress is traced back to Evolutionism of the 19th century which influenced the key notion of modernization dividing the world population into the developed and developing ones. Resumé v anglickém jazyce Summary This thesis is an attempt to show two authors and mainly two of their major works created in two different cultures, concluded by comparison of these two key works. Vladimír Neff, through his five-part cycle of novels Sňatky z rozumu (and following) dealing to the broad extent with the lives of members of Born and Nedobyl families, has proved his outstanding narrative skills which, together with a fair dose of irony and perfect knowledge of historical facts, make this pentalogy Neff's life work that in a remarkable manner made its way into the history of Czech literature. The author draws very accurate picture of Prague changing over a hundred of years and portrays the glamour of the age that is to be noted for the pursuit of economic and technological progress. Thanks to psychologically very thoroughly and accurately depicted key figures of the founders of abovementioned families, some of which were given the typically bourgeois features by Neff, the readers become close witnesses of their rise and fall.
