Design of shredder of 3D printing plastic parts
Lollek, Petr ; Koutecký, Tomáš (referee) ; Křivohlavý, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the structural design of a shredder for plastic waste generated by 3D printing. The aim of the thesis is the design of a shredder whose output can be used to produce printing filament. The first part of the thesis consists of research of different types of shredders, an analysis of the basic methods of additive technology, the most used materials of FDM technology and the waste generated from them. The second part then evaluates conceptual options. The most suitable option is selected using the criteria established based on the conducted research and the objectives of the thesis. The practical part then deals with the verifying calculations and the actual structural design consisting of four main parts (drive unit, shredder assembly, the frame and enclosure)
Comparison of plastic products in terms of differences in manual production and 3D technologies
NĚMEC, Michael
This bachelor thesis deals with the comparison of plastic products in terms of differences in manual production and 3D technologies. The theoretical part deals with the general characteristics of plastics, occupational safety and methods of manual processing of plastics. In conclusion, the technologies of 3D modeling and 3D printing are described. The practical part includes the selection of products suitable for production using both technologies. The products were subsequently manufactured, the process of their production was recorded and in the end both their procedures and the resulting appearance were compared.
Disposable plastic products on the Czech market
VRBA, David
The bachelor thesis deals with the issue of disposable plastic products. The first part deals with the consumption, negatives and positives of plastics. It also describes the handling of plastic waste and the content of the new Directive (EU) 2019/904 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the reduction of the impact of certain plastic products on the environment. The questionnaire survey is used to evaluate the consumption of disposable plastic products on the Czech market.
The effect of manufacturing inaccuracies on the final light intensity distribution of an automotive headlamp
Březnová, Tereza ; Lysa, Bohuslav (referee) ; Novotný, Jan (advisor)
The thesis deals with the issue of headlamp defects arising during production and their impact on the resulting light trail. The thesis describes and analyses defects arising during individual correction loops. Their analysis was carried out in order to provide measures for other projects. The main defects that have been assessed include the position of the light source, the quality of the optical surfaces and the associated quality of the plating, inaccuracies of the optical surfaces, dimensional variations due to installation technology and defects on the cover glass. The proposed measures concern the pressing tool, accuracy of machining and surface polishing. The thesis also includes designing solutions for quick identification of the surface quality of the cover glass by remote projection. Individual defects were described by their originators, their seriousness and their reparability. Based on this information, recommendations for production are proposed.
Evaluation of dimensional and shape accuracy of components made of plastic
Tuza, Marek ; Dobrocký, David (referee) ; Sedlák, Josef (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the dimensional and shape accuracy of components made of plastic. A total of 10 samples, produced by two types of production, extrusion and 3D printing using the FFF method, were used for this purpose. The semi-finished products were milled after production, which resulted in samples of the required dimensions. The samples were milled on one side without cooling emulsion and on the other side with cooling emulsion, which significantly affected the resulting shape accuracy values. Thus, a total of 20 surfaces were evaluated. Two parameters were selected to evaluate the dimensions, namely distance and parallelism. When measuring the shapes, 11 parameters were evaluated using a 2D roughness profile and a 3D surface texture. One of the most used parameters that was evaluated when measuring shapes was the arithmetic mean deviation of the roughness profile, which is denoted as Ra. The research found that the highest accuracies were measured for the material PA produced by 3D printing and milled with a cooling emulsion. At the end of the practical part, the author also makes recommendations regarding the practical use of materials.
Do you know what a fish will do when it runs up a hill?
Elznic, Zita ; Štroblová, Kateřina (referee) ; Rathouský, Luděk (advisor)
Diploma thesis entitled Do you know what a fish will do when it runs up a hill? concerns the topic of industrial fishing. Formally, it is an installation that contains two parts. The first part is an oval object on which are attached mechanical fish, which form a moving flock. Using engines, they interact with each other and the viewer accompanied by the song. The second part includes three separate mechanical fish, which create a direct dialogue with the viewer. The installation is located in a white cube. The result is to give the impression that the fish are alive and, with the help of a human voice, get closer to the viewer. Title Do you know what a fish does when it runs up a hill? based on a child's joke. This sentence is characteristic of the topic, in that it is all nonsense. The fish do not run, do not move on land and do not even talk. An attempt at this joke to humanize fish is quickly over when you know the answer. Just clapping tells us how foreign this different world is.
Waste horizon
Ochotná, Barbora ; Rypl Žabčíková, Ada (referee) ; Kristek, Jan (advisor)
The city is a place of accumulation, production and reproduction of production resources and consumption of goods, but waste typically accumulates outside it. It falls out of our horizon physically and mentally. The waste we produce changes the landscape and transforms the processes on earth without most of us visiting the "places of transformation". The project works with the idea of redirecting the final phase of the production chain back to the place of consumption by producing elements of public space from municipal waste. The presentation of waste leads to an awareness of its amount and degree of consumption. At the same time, waste becomes something much more ambivalent, possibly useful or even beautiful.
Types of packaging and their representation in municipal waste
Kostková, Kateřina ; Kropáč, Jiří (referee) ; Pavlas, Martin (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the types of packaging materials, related legislation and the use of packaging in practice. The research part of the work presents individual types of materials and their characteristics. An important part of waste treatment is the recycling and utilization of packaging waste. The work presents different recycling principles for individual materials. The practical part analyzes the individual representation of packaging materials of selected consumer products.
Plastic plating
Čermák, Jan ; Kubíček, Jaroslav (referee) ; Žák, Ladislav (advisor)
The perspective of the production of plastic parts has helped to spread the metallization of these parts on a large scale. Whether a coating is functional or just decorative. This bachelor thesis presents a comprehensive study, analysis, evaluation and comparison of the possibilities of creating metal coatings on plastic materials. The thesis deals with galvanic, chemical, vacuum and special methods of plating. For all the mentioned methods of plating, the technological procedure, equipment for plating, evaluation of individual methods and analysis of the use of plated plastic parts are given.
Production of part Fixing washer
Para, Marcel ; Kandus, Bohumil (referee) ; Žák, Ladislav (advisor)
Order was given for the prodiction of 20 000 pieces of fixing washers. In this case was chosen injection moulding technology. Based on the research, a structural design of the mold was prepared together with the drawing documentation. From the range of materials, it was chosen polypropilene MOSTEN GB218, which is suitable for the given produstion. The simulation verified the reliability and quality of production. The parameters of injection moulding were determined by calculations, and the machine J180ADS – 180U was selected base of them. In the economic evaluation, the total costs for the production of the entire series were established on Nc=19626,43€.
