Network access systems with biometric authentication technology
HANZAL, Vlastimil
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to process available variations of biometric methods which are used for an automatic identification or verification of people based on their anatomical-physiological or behavioural characteristics that are supposed to be unique, stable over time, practically measurable and technologically processable. These methods have already been used for hundreds of years for the identification of people and for various solutions of security. Today, these biometric methods are improved and connected with the modern information technology. The advantage of biometric methods is based on the identification of the basic essence of a man. Therefore, they are characterized by a high degree of protection against misuse and to following misuse of identity in comparison to a simple function of identification chip or another identification medium. The theoretical part consists of a description of a professional terminology primarily of a description of the biometrical authentication methods. Further on, there is an implementation of analysis of available solutions of biometrical systems in the environment of the Czech market. The choice of the biometrical system for the application in the practical part of this project has been made based on this information. Own project of authentication people at primary school with a help of used biometrical methods is proposed in practical part. And this method will be tested on available devices.
Branchiobdellidan population on alien species of crayfish in the Czech Republic
LOŽEK, Filip
The thesis summarizes the current knowledge about the class Branchiobdellae including their anatomy, ecology and geographic distribution with respect to the presence of introduced species in Europe. Using samples of Branchiobdellidan obtained from two introduced species of crayfish caught in a pond near Čáslavice u Moravských Budějovic (signal crayfish, Pacifastacus leniusculus) and in Černíský stream (eastern crayfish, Orconectes limosus), two out of seven European species of Branchiobdellidan were identified, namely B. parasita with 100% presence in the eastern crayfish and 58.7% presence in the signal crayfish, and B. pentodonta with 41.3% presence. Based on data collected from the caught crayfish and samples of Branchiobdellidan, the individual weight of eastern crayfish was proved to influence the quantity and biomass of Branchiobdellidan on the body of crayfish (p<0.001), i.e. increased quantity and biomass of Branchiobdellidan was found on more robust specimens of crayfish, however the effect of gender was not statistically significant. With respect to the signal crayfish, a significant difference was observed in the quantity and biomass of Branchiobdellidan depending on the weight of the crayfish (p<0.001), and the influence of the gender of the crayfish was detected (p<0.001), i.e. the quantity and biomass of Branchiobdellidan was higher on the surface of male specimens of crayfish. The presence of eggs in some female signal crayfish had no significant effect on the quantity and biomass of Branchiobdellidan (p=0.052), however in combination with the weight, the influence of the presence or absence of eggs was proved (p=0.011), more robust females showed increased quantity and biomass of Branchiobdellidan.
Conversion and Artistic Creation of Magdalena V.
LENERTOVÁ, Šárka
This Bachelor thesis Conversion and Artistic Creation of Magdalena V. deals with the change of artistic expression of the Czech graphic artist Magdalena V., in a close connection to her religious conversion to the Catholic faith. The first part summarizes the theoretical knowledge of the psychology of religion. It introduces basic definitions and concepts of religion in relation to a religious conversion. In the second part, the author deals with the psychological analysis of Magdalena V.'s typical work through her life, which is supported by numerous photographs. Using the approach of rožnovská school, the author attempts to interpret this artwork on a hypothetical level, focusing on the M.V.'s life and artistic paralel before and after her conversion. The author draws on Magdalena V.'s testimonies about her life which bring light on the intention and context in her art. Related to the author's identification with Magdalena V.'s work, which later became apparent, this paper evolved further into identifying these moments and thus the potential risks inherent in author's own therapeutic work.
MALDI - TOF MS identification of filamentous fungi.
ŠNAJDROVÁ, Martina
The method of mass spectrometry with laser desorption / ionization time of flight in the presence of the matrix analyzer ( MALDI-TOF MS ) is using a technique called soft ionization. This is a fast and ever-evolving method, which has found application for the analysis of proteins, glycoproteins, nucleic acids, lipids and high molecular weight and low molecular weight substances. This method has brought inovation to the routine microbiology laboratories. MALDI-TOF mass spectrometry can be used for identification aerobic and anaerobic bacteria, yeast, mycobacteria, but also to determine the genus and species of filamentous fungi. Except identification of microorganisms, is possible to detect the mechanisms of antibiotic resistance in bacteria (e.g., - lactamases ability for the inactivation of - lactam antibiotics ). MALDI TOF MS is an easy to use method more accurate, faster and more cost efficient than commonly used biochemical tests and comparing macroscopic and microscopic appearance. Mass spectrometry MALDI TOF generate mass spectra of proteins (bacteria) and glycoproteins (fungi), which are species -specific for identification of strain. Identification of the strain by comparing the obtained mass spectra with reference spectra databases . In the period from January 2013 to February 2014 were in the practical part examined 114 isolates of filamentous fungi, 80 strains as agent of a superficial mycoses and 34 strains as agents of systemic and organ fungal infections. All 114 samples were determined by conventional methods and also were identified by MALDI TOF MS. The selected group of isolates was compared to molecular genetic methods (PCR) followed by the sequence of the amplicon. MALDI TOF mass spectrometry is a method for easily identifying bacteria. During testing of filamentous fungi is a main importance on the stage of preparation of the sample before testing. It was tried several workflows whose success is summarized in this thesis.
The circumstances affecting the identity of social workers
LHOTÁKOVÁ, Jana
The Bachelor thesis deals with identity and circumstances that may affect the identity of social workers. The theoretical part describes a social worker's personality, his competences and roles. Furthermore, it professionally deals with identity and its sub-aspects and circumstances that may affect the identity of social workers. It deals particularly with collective profession and Christian aspect of identity in detail. The practical part is based on the scientific research, namely quantitative research, which is being implemented in the region of Strakonicko. The aim of the research was to investigate how social workers view the identity and the circumstances that may affect their identity and whether they ever affect it at all. Detected views largely correspond with the theroretical assumptions.
