Application of HILIC method for the determination of stability of ascorbic acid
Pavlovičová, Soňa ; Nováková, Lucie (advisor) ; Šatínský, Dalibor (referee)
Author: Soňa Pavlovičová Title: The application of HILIC method in the stability evaluation of ascorbic acid Language: czech Keywords: ascorbic acid, HILIC, stability, stabilizating agents Ascorbic acid, vitamin C, is a very polar compound, and is therefore difficult to be analysed by RP-HPLC. For these reason HILIC method (Hydrophilic Interaction Liquid Chromatography) was developed and the optimal conditions for the analysis were determined. The analysis occured on the ZIC-HILIC column (150 x 2.1, 3.5 μm), the mobile phase consisted from acetonitrile and 50 mM ammonium acetate buffer pH 6.8. The method used UV detection at 268 nm. Under these conditions the analysis take approximately 4 minutes. Chlorogenic acid was used for quatification. Various stability factors as temperature, concentration, the presence of oxygen and pH of the solution were studied. This work also solved the troubles with stabilizating agents and their influence on stability of ascorbic acid. Optimal conditions were obtained, when the temperature was decreased to 4řC and 10 mM oxalic acid was used for stabilization. Good results were also obtained with 5 % o-phosphoric acid as stabilizating agent. The method was validated and it met pharmacopea requirements.

Then the work deals with corrective procedures and possibilities of working with children with dyslexia in lessons of Czech language at elementary schools. It also pays attention to the children{\crq}s personality and their position at school. The practical part is focused on making teaching aids, concretely workbooks, for children with dyslexia. Each teaching aid is described, its advantages for pupils and teachers are illustrated and it is explained how to use the teaching aim in the lesson.

Interdisciplinary relations in basic English textbooks for basic schools
Kretová, Petra ; Čadová, Jana (referee) ; Mothejzíková, Jarmila (advisor)
With respect to the increasingly high importance which the foreign language mastery comes to play in the life of the 21 st century man and with respect to the trends in the contemporary educational system which attempts to eliminate the ineffective and no longer satisfactory mechanic memorising and route-learning, a special tendency has appeared to base English teaching and also the teaching of all school subjects on the creation of mutually bound interdisciplinary relations. Furthermore, in the context of the reorganised Europe of the present day, it is not possible at schools any more to rely on out-dating principles, which have to be, in fact, selectively renewed so as to fit the demands of the today's society, which points out, in fact, the necessity to view education as a complex of educational and instructional perspectives which can be successfully realised at schools only if new and modified ways of teaching and learning are sought and applied in order to complement cleverly the cultural heritage represented by the previous generations. What arises as a reaction to this is an urgent need to abolish uncreative and non-stimulating teaching procedures, which cannot prepare pupils for life adequately and whose relevance for the demands of the present-day society can, rightly, be doubted. As special...

Behavior Composition in Component Systems
Adámek, Jiří ; Plášil, František (advisor) ; Černá, Ivana (referee) ; Madelaine, Erik (referee)
In order to formally verify a component application, it is suitable to structure the formal specification of its behavior according to the application architecture. Such an approach eases the maintenance of the specification and allows utilizing efficient verification algorithms that are based on decomposition of the application into several communicating parts. How those parts cooperate is formally described via an operation that is called behavior composition. In this thesis we claim that in current software component systems behavior composition has typically two drawbacks: (1) it lacks support for composition error detection and (2) it does not address the problem of unbounded parallelism specification. While detection of composition errors allows checking design inconsistencies at a design time, unbounded parallelism specification is necessary for precise formal description of reentrant components that are used in practice very often. Therefore we introduce two new concepts - the consent operator and the behavior templates - in order to address both the issues (1) and (2). Our solutions are demonstrated on the SOFA component model [35], behavior protocols [32] are used as a behavior specification language.

JAWS Framework for Non-standard Applications
Ficek, Michal ; Kryl, Rudolf (referee) ; Cejnar, Pavel (advisor)
The JAWS application (www.freedomscienti c.com) is capable of allowing access of blind users to computer controls. Applications with graphical control elements that often substitute for standard controls of Microsoft Windows or applications that don't support full keyboard control have to be modi ed with JAWS scripting language to give out sounds and allow control of the sight impaired. This project describes creation of a script for speci c application and analyzes what parts of the script can be automatically generated. At the same time we introduce JAWS Framework - application with included users manual, technical documentation and discussion of solutions according to the speci fication of our project.

A Case Study on Group Homes
Muralidharan, Geetha ; Šiška, Jan (advisor) ; Strnadová, Iva (referee)
This case study is on community based alternatives namely group homes for people with intellectual disabilities in Czech Republic. It focuses on 2 different service providers namely the social workers and specialist in the field of disabilities and the parents who wanted to provide their wards a good living condition for the rest of their life. This qualitative cum quantitative study has used interview, observation and standardized choice questionnaire (Stancliff and Parmenter, 1999) as the tools for data collection. The study involved people with intellectual disabilities (mild and moderate) who lived in the group homes and one staff from each group home. Because of the time constrain and language barrier all the stake holders could not be involved. The findings showed that both the settings were unique in their own way and they proved to be a good model for a group home, where the welfare of the residents were given priority and all the plans were worked around the residents irrespective of their ability and involvement. Efforts were made not to minimize assistance, but rather to minimize the creation of dependence. Both the group homes followed the principle of normalisation and advocated the maximization of individual's abilities and choices. This study was carried out keeping in mind how similar kind...

Vlčková, Jana ; Nádvorníková, Olga (advisor) ; Nováková, Sylva (referee)
Personal and social deixis in political speeches by Jean-Marie Le Pen and Marine Le Pen (Jana Vlčková) Abstract The aim of this bachelor thesis is to analyse the political speeches of the two National Front representatives - Jean-Marie Le Pen and Marine Le Pen. The text compares the personal and social deixis means used by both speakers in comparable communication situations. The theoretical part defines the communicational situation circumstances, the argumentation and the persuasive technics in the political speeches, as well as the personal and social deixis means. The ensuing analysis of the political speech corpus is inserted in the frame of the political party programme. We accept the method of the speech analysis according to the occurrence of the particular language means. The quantitative analysis is developed by examples of the given means in particular languages contexts. On the one hand, the text offers a comparison of the means used in different communication situations. On the other hand, it shows the differences of both speakers' expressing. Thus it brings a specific perspective in the view of differences between both politicians. Key Words Political discourse analysis, personal deixis, social deixis, communication situation, argumentation, Jean-Marie Le Pen, Marine Le Pen, French

The ongoing changes in the category of identification in contemporary standard and non-standard Czech
Dobiáš, Daniel ; Zikánová, Šárka (referee) ; Čermák, František (advisor)
While the category of in/definiteness in Czech and other Slavonic languages (except Bulgarian and Macedonian, cf. Corbett - Comrie, 2002) is not expressed by articles, the present paper is concerned with the observation that in contemporary spoken nonstandard Czech a) the demonstrative pronoun ten is developing functions of a definite article, and b) the indefinite pronoun nějaký is developing functions of an indefinite article (alongside with the numeral jeden). On the basis of quantitative analysis, I will demonstrate that this development is ongoing predominantly in spoken non-standard Czech, in which speakers mark identification even if it is obvious from other means (e.g. functional sentence perspective), whereas in standard Czech this tendency is still avoided. Methodologically this paper starts from grammaticalisation theory, according to which frequently used expressions are in certain contexts syntactically and morphological1y reanalyzed, and after having grammaticalised, they continue to develop new grammatical functions (cf. Traugott 1995). The general trend in the field of grammaticalisation is that new means are first very productive in spoken language and pervade standard language only after that. As will be shown later, the development of ten / nějaký in Czech is at a stage in which these...

Neuroeconomics: The analysis of consumer behavior and perception of TV spots
Červenka, Petr ; Chytilová, Helena (advisor) ; Máslo, Lukáš (referee)
The thesis deals with the detailed study of two television commercials of an unnamed energy company. The aim of this work is to determine whether people's subjective evaluation is similar or different to values that were detected during the measurement, after viewing each commercial and in subsequent in-depth interviews. A sample of 24 respondents, who participated in the research, represented the composition of the economically active population in the Czech Republic. These were people of various ages, a combination of educational attainment and an evenly balanced gender ratio. Neurological measurement was done through an eye camera, brain responses were measured using electroencephalography (EEG), and changes in heart rate, skin resistance and body temperature were measured by photoplethysmography. The resulting data ispresented in graphs indicating emotional polarity and activity. The results show that respondent's verbal evaluation of their perception of ads is not necessarily identical with the values that are measured by the devices. The thesis concludes by recommending how to successfully target the so-called end user who uses the services of the company.
