Visualization Support in Sefl-Service Business Intelligence Tools - a SAS Visual Analytics and IBM Cognos Analytics Comparison
Espinoza, Felix ; Maryška, Miloš (advisor) ; Berber, Martin (referee)
The thesis deals with problematics of tools marked as Self Service Business Intelligence (SSBI) which is paid close attention by its users as well as producers due to expected progressive growth of this trend. Two products are evaluated: SAS Visual Analytics and IBM Cognos Analytics, both tools are evaluated by their extent of user´s autonomy and support of data visualization. Basic principles and concepts connected to the area of business intelligence are defined in theoretical part of the thesis. The problematics of data visualization is introduced and trend of self-service business intelligence is discussed with analyzing its benefits as well as restrictions. Technological factors which helped to fast development of SSBI are mentioned as well. A methodology has been created within practical part of the thesis. It is enforceable for any other tool from the family of SSBI and it is possible to assess the extent of support within observed categories through this methodology: Using information, Creation of information, Creation of sources and Visualization. A set of criteria on basis of which the evaluator can create evaluation form corresponding to his/her needs was defined for each of the stated categories. Usability of the methodology is illustratively demonstrated at mutual comparison of chosen modules of both tools while those parts are sufficiently described before the evaluation itself.

Faktory ovlivňující ekonomiku traktorových souprav
Katrenčík, Jakub
Farm tractors are used in various works that is the reason why manufacturers equip the tractors with engines with outputs from 30 to 450 kW, mechanical or hydro mechanical gearboxes and tires with various acceptable inflation pressures and dimensions. Many types of tires which are available for agricultural tractors, places higher requests on the knowledge of the transfer of power from the tires on a surface. What is the impact of different design of tires transmission on output power or fuel consumption can be determined, for example, make a field measurements. Results of field measurement shows that tire inflation and type of tires has significant effect on pull performance slip and fuel consumption.

Characterization of liposomes as precursors for the preparation of models of cellular membrane using scattering techniques
Gjevik, Alžběta ; Kalina, Michal (referee) ; Mravec, Filip (advisor)
The bachelor thesis presents a cellular membrane design based on lecithin, cholesterol and POPG basis. It summarizes formation mechanisms, optimization techniques and characterization methods of model cellular membranes. It focuses on preparation of liposomes with various lipid compositions as precursors for model membranes preparation and characterization. Small unilamellar liposomes were formed by thin layer evaporation, thin layer rehydration in phosphate buffer and sonication. Size and stability (-potential) of formed liposomes were measured using dynamic light scattering. Successful supported lipid bilayer formation on glass surface by vesicular fusion was tested using the most stable lipid composition. SLB was characterized by Z-scan fluorescence correlation spectroscopy.

A post-war policy ofthe Czechoslovak Communist Party from 1945-1946 (from the Košický programme to the parliamentary election in 1946)
Duchoslav, Petr ; Rychlík, Jan (referee) ; Kvaček, Robert (advisor)
This work, in detail, deals with the post-war policy ofthe Czechoslovak communist party in 1945-1946. It is defined on one side by the restoration ofthe party and on the other side by the parliamentary election in 1946. The parliamentary election in 1946 ended the first phase of the party' s tactics, whose aim was to infiltrate the state mechanism and, at the same time, the election built optimal conditions for the party to finally eliminate its political enemies and seize absolute power. I have deliberately chosen this demarcation because it takes a key place in the development of the party' s political tactics, and not a period ending in astate coup ď etat in 1948. This approach would have been possible but it might have ended up growing into a simple description in which all the important and relevant matters of the party' s programme and political strategy were left out. The very core ofthis work is made of a post-war policy analysis of The Czechoslovak Communist Party, its historical development in an overall domestic and intemational context. It particularly focuses on the following crucial issues: 1. a post-war restoration of the party; 2. The party's policy in a period ofThe Provisional National Assembly (TPNA); 3. The 8th convention ofThe Czechoslovak Communist Party; 4. The May 1946 election. This...

Composition and structure of larval trematode communities in model freshwater pulmonate gastropods in eutrophic environments in Central Europe
SOLDÁNOVÁ, Miroslava
This work applies advanced sampling (mark-release-recapture) and comparative approaches addressing the patterns in composition, structure and variability of larval trematode communities in three species of gastropod molluscs (Lymnaea stagnalis, Planorbarius corneus and Radix auricularia) at two nested scales of community organisation in typical Central European eutrophic environments. Hypothesis-testing with the application of null-model analyses, logistic regression modelling and multivariate randomisation techniques, revealed determinants of transmission rates, levels of infection and community structure in freshwater snail hosts in Central Europe and elucidated the mechanisms linking the spatial and temporal environmental variability with the action of complex community assembly rules in freshwater pulmonate snails.

The role of human Sco1, Sco2, Surf1 and Oxa1l in the biogenesis of the oxidative phosphorylation system
Stibůrek, Lukáš
This thesis was prepared in the Laboratory for study of mitochondrial disorders at the Department of Pediatrics, First Faculty of Medicine, Charles University in Prague. The study of human mitochondrial biogenesis, particularly of the oxidative phosphorylation system (OXPHOS), and its pathologies has seen remarkable progress in past two decades. The knowledge of the complete sequence of the human genome, together with the results of elegant yeast studies aimed at the identification of respiratory important gene products, enabled us to identify and study the molecular and biochemical bases of numerous human mitochondrial pathologies. These studies not only continue to reveal the underlying disease mechanisms but shed completely new light on the various processes of mitochondrial biogenesis and function in humans. The work presented in this thesis was aimed mainly at the understanding of the various roles of nuclear-encoded mitochondrial inner membrane proteins Sco1, Sco2, Surf1 and Oxa1l in the assembly and/or maintenance of the five multimeric complexes of the human OXPHOS system. The presented data demonstrate that human Sco1 and Sco2 are involved, in a highly tissue-specific manner, in distinct posttranslational steps of maturation of the cytochrome c oxidase (CcO) subunit 2 (Cox2). Furthermore,...

Velocity of money and its relevance for monetary policy
Boháčik, Ján ; Koderová, Jitka (advisor) ; Metrah, Samy (referee)
The thesis discusses some issues on the topic of money velocity. Its goal is to summarise theroretical contributions in this area, which are followed by a practical application through the monetary analysis of the Slovak Republic from 1993 to 2000. The theoretical part involves the first approaches to money velocity, explanation of the quantity theory of money and monetarism and their critique. It also describes the monerary transmission mechanism. The practical application part evaluates the impact of the stability of money velocity on the decision of the National Bank of Slovakia to abandon monetary targeting. It also focuses on the other variables that influenced monetary policy execution. The last chapter is devoted to the importance of money velocity if the central bank uses inflation targeting as its policy.
