Impact system with the hertz contact
Půst, Ladislav ; Peterka, František
Analytical model of dynamic impact based on Hertz theory and connected with nonlinear damping is presented for different values of contact stiffness. Hysteresis loops are shown. The Hertz constact model is applied for investigation of properties of 1 impact system excited by harmonic force. After introducing dimensionless parameters, the domains of different periodic and chaotic impact oscillators are ascertained for the Hertz coefficient kH=3;10;30;100.

The economics of suburbanization
Třísková, Julie ; Šťastný, Daniel (advisor) ; Mirvald, Michal (referee)
My bachelor thesis focuses on the socio-economical aspects of the development of suburban areas, especially of the recently developed suburbs around bigger cities. This phenomenon (suburbanization) will be investigated in terms of assumtions and incentives on its participants side, but primarily in terms of its impacts. According to the fact that some of the impacts are generally considered as negative, the question is whether it is appropriate to intervene in this process. The aim of this thesis is to find an answer to the question: Is it possible or even appropriate to allow the process of suburbanization to develop without intereventions and if not, how much interevention needed? This thesis will be based on both the studies and surveys from the Czech Republic and observations from the United States where suburbanization has progressed more rapidly.

Impact of the EU ETS on the czech companies
Cejnar, Michal ; Jílková, Jiřina (advisor) ; Vojáček, Ondřej (referee)
Emission trading allowances are one of the new instrument of the environmental protection, which is, as an EU ETS component, influencing almost 400 czech companies with just about 500 air polluting sources in the Czech republic. This diploma thesis deals with the main impact of the EU ETS on the czech companies. The analysis is focused on the first trading period 2005 -- 2007 and on the first year of the second trading period 2008 -- 2012. Methodology of the analysis is based on the qualitative research with individual in-depth interviews with czech companies and is focused on the research of induced costs and diverse approach and motivations of the large and small companies within the EU ETS

Comparison of standards of fair trade organisations and impacts on producer organisations in developing countries
Hradecká, Zuzana ; Němečková, Tereza (advisor) ; Hejkrlík, Jiří (referee)
This thesis consists of comparison of different standards of chosen organisations and companies involved in sustainable trade at different levels -- fair trade, fair trade lite and ethical trade. International sustainable trade standards setting organisations are represented by Fairtrade Labelling Organisations International (FLO), the World Fair Trade Organisation (IFAT), Rainforest Alliance and UTZ Certified. The privat sector is represented by internal standards of several companies from Germany (Gepa, Rapunzel and El Puente), Austria (EZA) and USA (Starbucks). The main part of the thesis consists in description and consequent comparison of particular standards of each organisation/company. The short-run impacts of chosen standards on producers from developing countries are compared then (the long-run impacts cannot be compared yet because of lack of relevant data available).
